Remember reality is only factual based upon our realm of existence and understanding from our own lens. But that’s not to say there aren’t other laws and theories that prove otherwise with more new findings as we evolve as a species. Reality is only a social construct as we agree as a collective but true science is entertaining all ideas of critical thought and hypothesis whether it exists now in the past or in the future. We forever can expand our mind.
So, it’s nice to see a professor who’s beholden to the constraints of the academia system and peer review and those who have powers against disrupting their educational findings to listen and discuss alternative theories while maintaining prestige.

Eric Weinstein is cool. I worked as a science journalist for a while and scientific gatekeeping is REAL. Eric is trying to help Terrence see why he is being dismissed and how to prevent that. I hope Terrence gets it so all of his amazing work can be protected. There has never been a scientist who has been right about everything. That is why the scientific method is needed. I hope this inspires more people to get into science.

He's a better conversation on this in a few sentences: If I were there I would have said that Terrence believes that he was handed this information and thinks that we have to figure out what to do with it. He's trying to explain what he has and what he thinks it is, which is the blueprint for reality. The intriguing part is that the flower of life can be presented as ancient knowledge which the world seems to be opening up to in recent years. Eric comes off as saying, "look at all of our mathematical gymnastics and this is why you are wrong." What Weinstein should have said is, " You will have to build your models on a more grand scale and you will have to prove that those spaces create a gravitational field." It's like they are talking in two different languages and if Terrence's language is correct, Weinstein's language needs completely scraped and re-built from the ground up.....but Weinstein keeps pointing at his language in as much of a non-condescending manner as a scoff can get.

Having Joe act as a mediator in this episode, was like having Rusell Brand mediating the Korean conflict along with Donald Trump. I admire his interest in topics like this cause it helps shed a light of understanding for us mortals and people who are inquiring about subjects like this and dont have the resources or ability to study in depth. Whats going on is terrence williams has a big huge brain tumour and doesnt know basics and has flown off on tangents of isomorphic connections like a poet forming words into songs which sound similar but makes no sense. Like that italian rapper from the 1940s who made english noises so it sounded like english to italians but actually was just gibberish. And weinstein is exactly like you except hes watching a dog trying to do a card trick and despite being baffled hes not hitting the poor dog.
Ok, that was a damn good episode. The fact that Terrance was able to adjust his language to meet a scientist in the middle to create understanding was amazing. He really did turn me off when he started throwing out scientific terms nonsensically in the first episode. I was still interested in hearing him, but it was a tough pill to swallow. Eric did an incredible job of as he stated, steelmanning him to find the relevance and truth in it all. The shapes he created are incredible, and could have amazing applications to the field of engineering. Do they explain the whole universe and are the grand unified field equations, most likely not. It is pretty incredible how Eric's mind is choosing to disect and learn in real time to get down to basics of what is happening and he is guiding while still disciplining because he doesn't want Terrance to get shut down, especially when there is some potential in what he is showing.
Out of the first hundred comments I've seen this is the best one. I agree it was really interesting to see both of them learning in real time and figuring things out. Eric's ability to use analogies on the spot is really impressive they're very to the point which is the real genius of it.
Terrence sounds smart to dumb people. Eric sounds smart to other experts. Somebody here needed to shut up and listen.

As an engineer myself with a graduate degree who has studied multiple advanced mathematics courses in linear algebra, stochastic processes and geometric calculus / differential equations, the fact that Terrence is able to keep up with what Eric is instructing reveals to me that he has a genius-level intellect.
Allow me to give some insight on how complicated this field of study is, if the equations and verbiage weren't already enough coming from Eric. The basic building blocks of this is calculus, which is where derivatives and integration come from (study of curvature, functions and relations). You combine this with algebra and you get linear algebra, where you begin to solve math problems in multiple dimensions (well over three-dimensions) using objects called matrices and involving characteristics of vectors, spaces and transformations. This stuff they're talking about goes even beyond that, crossing over into the field of advanced mathematical physics.

@@ianbenjimanI went back and watched 1/2 of the original JRE Terrance Howard episode - up to the opening of the flower part. The 2nd time around I understood better what he was getting at. If I understood correctly the negative spaces between those spheres contains magnetic n (something else, electric?) fields. When you add more of those negative spaces to it, due to those fields they automatically attract and form repeatable symmetrical shapes that can scale up to infinity. If I understand it correctly he thinks that infinite field is the ether which contains electro magmatic fields. It’s the canvas which our reality presents itself.

I can’t tell if he was correct but he was not talking crazy stuff. Everyone got stuck on his 1x1=2 or using the wrong vocab/terms n quickly dismissed him - that’s throwing the baby out with the bath water.
