Great video, josh... just sub's up. Ktaxon is a n unbranded Glarry. I think you and i are the only people to get a good glarry, i have a giz-102 which is a set neck version of an Ibanez AX series. Like the video style, keep at it and I'll keep watching...oh and make sure to thank Sean for sending people your way.

Playable, too. If you remember, back in the day, there were many guitars, cheap and otherwise that were strictly unplayable. Rarely happens, these days. I have the cheapest Epiphone there is, $119 delivered, and it is playable. (Playable? It is a nice guitar!!) $119 is about $20 in the 60s. You wouldn't get much for that money at that time.
Tuning pegs cost more than this guitar. Trying to get back on the horse, but can’t do it without people like you.

Wow, hard to complain about a $69 guitar that was packed so well with a usable practice amp included. It has a nice heel joint too instead of a giant block. Shark fin inlays?! And you can get just the guitar for $59?!
If I had to whine a little, that middle pickup is pretty noisy, but I’m nitpicking for real. Some people don’t mind that much noise on a single coil. At this price, people can upgrade that pickup. The humbuckers are definitely usable,l for anyone, even if they’re likely not Alnico magnets.
I love your humidity test. It should officially be called the “Lanai Humidity Test,” as a nod to The Golden Girls and every Floridian with a Lanai, lol. The sliding door was perfect!
Btw, you know your new wife is gonna smack ya one of these days. She’s clearly been talking to Cathy over at @Scar My Pickups, lol. 😂😂😂

I got a Ktaxon Ibanez type Bass guitar. It played out of the box, but after a change, to a better set of strings, a truss rod adjustment, filing of the fret edges and it was how I like my bass.
Glad to know more feedback about this company. Haven’t seen much YT videos on this model
I bought the Ktaxon Burning Fire style bass with a pair of fairly weak humbuckers. Fret ends were perfect, and intonation was perfect as well. I think the tuning keys are iffy, seeing as it doesn't stay in tune after playing for 10 to 15 minutes. Will be looking to change the strings but unsure of what brand to get on a tight budget.
@h.w.hilton6819 Try tightening the tuners. That's what I did to mine, and the problem was solved. They were really smooth but loose. I changed the strings too. Now it stays in tune

In a world of companies that suck the money out of their customers, I get it.
But wood grows out of the ground and a CNC can make most of the guitar.
I'm assuming all you did was tune it and no other prep, right? A lot of guys will say it's straight out of the box but you can tell they've put some work on it for their video.
That said, i really appreciate you presenting guitars as is, as a customer, it's a massive resource, especially when you are still learning the strings.

Thank you for starting a great channel! And with so many guitars under or near $100 on Amazon, you will have no shortage of content when you have the money to spend. I know I'll never be able to afford a multi-thousand dollar guitar, so i am forcing myself to be content with what is in my meager price range.
I picked up a Mitchell short scale guitar around christmas and I think it is pretty good considering it was so cheap. Give one of them a try when the opportunity comes around!@@StraightOutOfTheBox

These are great as beginner guitars. Looks sharp and doesn't sound bad on a better amp. I would get something like this as a go to for noodling and coming up with ideas. Thanks for sharing.

I think any of those guitars on Amazon could be good, if you know how to change the strings, clean the fretboard, and make adjustments. As long as the neck isn't wrapped, I think they could be really good!

Back in the late 1900's, I had a mall-store Dean plywood strat knockoff that wasn't even vaguely good. For $150, it had three pickups (H-S-S) which, other than the bridge sounding a little brighter and a little louder, didn't necessarily sound like the clear difference between humbuckers and single-coils like this guitar. This looks like a TON of guitar for the money!

I got mine today, of course they went up a bit, but it’s still the best bang for buck I’ve ever come across. Intonation was perfect except the high E was just a bit sharp. Well done frets. I wish I could have had this when I first started playing 👏👏👏👏👏

Your man on scar didn't like the Fesley 400 m. For the price I love it. paid 139 for the bundle. However I am a beginner so don't know the ins and out of a quality guitar vs a pos. Care to do a tie breaker and take a look at it? I got the satin black with black neck model btw.
How was your intonation? I got the sunburst one about a year ago.
Didn’t check the intonation to be honest. Maybe I’m a future video. But it passed the jam test!

If they made the top horn about 1 or 2 cm thinner/ sharper or the bottom thicker it would be perfectly proportional.

Bought a Ktaxon guitar rack... not the best company for customer service. They put the instructions on a small, thin paper you can't read. They assembled a part befor shipping that thebinstructions list as a part, making me think I was missing parts, lol. Are they compensating in any way for you to review this or no?
