- This tutorial will show you how to make the Granny Stripe Stitch. It is an easy 2 row repeat with the only difference between rows is how you start and end the rows!! This stitch can be made with any yarn and make a wonderfully soft and plush blanket using chunky yarn. The Granny Stripe Stitch works up fast and is great for beginners who have learned the double crochet.

I just want to say I have been crocheting for many years. I come to this Chanel to find new patterns and stitches. Let me just say. You are amazing. You were so clear. I attempted 3 different blankets and ended up stopping because I went crooked at some point. But your explaining the turn to the next rounds were clear and simple. Thank you so much.

I love the way you did the color change of the yarn. You explain everything really well without making anyone feel like you are talking down to them. Amazing
My first thought when I saw the blanket was that I absolutely love the border.
I have never done crochet before, but after this video I feel confident enough to start the blanket I have been dreaming of for years. This video is so clear and calm, you do an amazing job, thank you!

Hi Tammy....how do I do granny stripe with a double crochet stripe also...do I just dc in each stitch acrossed???
Is your Etsy shop closed? I wanted to purchase the written pattern. This is a very helpful video. Thanks!
What size crochet hook did you use?
Great tutorial! I'm a knitter and rally want to learn to crochet. I think a blanket will be the easiest way to learn. Can I use this same technique with fingering weight yarn?
Yes you can!
Hi Tammie, nice work and if you were to do bigger blanket how many chain do I make, do I multiply 15x what ever or how big do I want??
Hey. You dont have to multiply with 15, but your chain count just need to multiply with 3 + 2 extras in the end. So it also depends on your yarn and hook size. I would take my yarn and hook and make a small sample with lets say 15 chains + 2 and see what that measures and then multiply the chain count to your prefered size blanket. Hope it makes sense❤
Hi there, I am doing. My 1st blanket here with you. Seems the SC is so tight the rows are a little ruffley.is this normalbor should lay flat after 5 rows??
What is the details of the yarn and what size is the crochet hook? Is the yarn a 4 weight?
Yarn is a #4 weight and hook is a J/6mm. There are links in the description that will give all the details about the yarn. Happy crocheting!!
So sorry. I didn’t look. Thank you very much. I’ll try it. Mahalo ❤️🌺
