You’re doing it right my friend. Doing any job the right way takes time. It’s evident that the previous owner did the shortcuts. It’s interesting watching you go through it. We’re all rooting for you to get it running as well.
Omg that is soo true! It’s such a process just to get rescue bikes rolling! Excited to see what’s next and ur announcement. And I love love what u did on those tanks, that is sooo cool 🤩
I just bought a 79 fxs. It’s great to watch you work on your bike at the same time I’m working on mine. I love the level of detail that you are giving. My next task is timing of my electronic ignition.
Interesting what you tried on the fuel tanks. Many years ago a friend painted his car yellow and before it dried waved an acetylene torch over it allowing the black soot to fall on the paint. When dry put many coats of clear on. Was truly spectacular. Cheers from down under under. under.
Don't worry about how long it takes. Doing it right takes time. Looking forward to more videos on it. I like that flame idea for your tanks. Going to try that myself.
I wish I had a fraction of your mechanical skills. Great job.
i wanted to hear it start so badly. You are doing great job!

I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
The bike is coming along very nicely keep up the great work my friend
Appreciate it, I can't wait to ride it
Killer idea with the torch
I got the idea from some similar acetylene torch smoke paint jobs I've seen on gassers over the years. I may end up doing the whole bike like that!

Thanks! I've seen it on old Gasser drag cars before so figured I would try it
Good one, thanks for posting! People love using those automotive crimp connectors without even any shrink tubing, I hate them.
Yup, that's just a recipe for disaster! And the scotch locks, don't get me started on them...

Nice! I'm sure you'll get the ignition licked, glad to hear of another bike getting back on the road

10:15 is the main reason that I watch videos such as yours. Problem solving! That is an excellent idea that would never have occured to me.
Haha great, sometimes I have a good idea (not often though...)
Take your time and keep making good videos, I've been binging the episodes in this series. Looks awesome so far!
Appreciate it!
I'm sad your losing your shop . Hope you figure that out soon . The shovelhead video's are good ,I'm really enjoying them . Thank you .
Appreciate the comment, I've got a little plan in mind, will make a video about it in the next few weeks
You're doing a solid job man

Doing it right takes time and money, in the case of nose cone shovels always too much money.
What I dont like is the exposed wiring, especialy underneath the tank you should have some extra protection
Ay wey ! Ya mero al caso... Perdon. Al ollo...

Is this bike a Super Glide? And what year is the bike?
This is actually a 74 FLH with a low rider front end on it

01:58 I confess, I cringed
I should've had Kenneth catch it. One of those "crap I wasn't thinking" moments. Live and learn.
