This little vid covers the absolute basics of tenements and the WA Miners Right. This is for people just starting out or coming over from the East. We hope it's of some help when your starting off!
You always share things in plain English for the beginners and hobby prospectors like me and i am forever grateful. Hoping when i get to finally get out there will come see ya & say g'day. Cheers Tony. Take care and stay safe.
Just got my first prospecting licence aproved last week and have been following you for ages on youtube. Couldnt be more apreciative of the information you share! genuinely thankfull. keep em coming!
Gday Tony and Lisa, thankyou for going thru this in detail, I have been getting a few people asking to explain leases and processes, you have made my life easy I will just refer them to this video. Stay safe keep the dream alive.
I hate that if you peg a block and pay a lot money to do so that people have the right and permission to prospect and camp on it till its live it isn't a cheap hobby I like that you have the approach tony that mum and dad leases are off limits. as usual a lot of good useful information
Hi Tony , thanks for all your help. I'm trying to decide what would be the best machine for pushing and detecting ....I'm thinking a 30 t excavator with a push blade ?
Depends on what your trying to achieve....Blades on diggers are useful if your learning as you can press down the blade and it steady's you. 30t is great but expensive to move around. Your welcome to send me an email to discuss if thats of any help.
G'day Tony and Lisa, you have mentioned going on a pending tenement in a private person's name isn't really cricket. Is it considered alright to apply for a 40E permit on a large E that is held in an individuals name or is this a bit rude also??
g'day...please remember that my comments are a reflection of how I do things and part of the reason I mention it is because I see so many people out here that just don't have any 'ethics' when it comes to gold. That being said, I would personally never go on someone's pending ground....particularly if I know them. For me it's a respect thing and there is plenty of WA to prospect. To answer your question, I would avoid small E's....one or two blocks as 'usually' if they are in a private name it will be a small operator. Years ago over near Meekatharra a fella had a one block E and in one season had over 50 40E's placed on it. Thats up to 150 prospectors crawling over his lease. 100% legal by the way...but is it right? Thanks you very much for your support and questions.
@goldtalkleonora6881 thanks heaps for the reply guys, my question was definitely "ethics" related and I value your opinion! Lots of places to have a scratch and you answered my question perfectly thankyou 😊
Hi Tony , Can I add someone to a Section 40e once it has been issued? I have one that became live on Monday and a mate has just become available to head out prospecting with me? I am the only person listed on the 40e
@@goldtalkleonora6881 Thanks Mate. I have read the website and the mining act and couldnt find a definitive answer. My mate can spend some of his own money and put his own S40e in . Cheers
What is happening to the Goldfields with the Government giving back the land to the Aboriginals - does this mean we have no rights to detect on the gold fields after this is put into practice: The Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021?
Hi Stuart, that is not whats happening. The new laws will have little to no effect on metal detecting....the truth is, the obligations you have are already there. The new laws are about protecting all Australians cultural heritage...in my opinion only.
I can not believe how many people want to detect where you are working. Yes it's a Pending tenement but come on, don't go with in 100 meters of someone else, so some respect.

I hate it too Greg....but the rules are the rules.
WE used to do our gear every day with fuel oil and grease and filters blown out.
same...clean air and grease is cheap maintenance up here!
What about a hand operated dry blower ie Bellows Hand crank or rope pull. Excellent thx
if it's hand operated then no probs.
@@goldtalkleonora6881 cheers
Hi Tony , thanks for all your help.

WE used to use the same set up as Tony with the excavator and a grader blade as a cutting edge on a wide mud bucket.

If an exploration tenement holder just says no , do we have the right to peg am spl and take the matter to the warden ?
what do you mean by 'say's no'?

check with DMIRS but I would be fairly sure that you could not add to it.
