My parents are from Tlaxcala Mexico(i was born and grew in LA CA) ive gone to visit multiple times. And the aztecs didnt give pity to them. Despite their numerous attempts they where never able to conquer Tlaxcala because yes they were a smaller state but had far stronger warriors than the aztecs. So during the battles the aztecs were only able to take a few captured warriors back to their sacrifices not whole massacres

They didn't actually sacrafice.. thats a Catholic Church addition to their narrative. They said the same about the Viking and Japanese, meanwhile Sweden and Japan have lowest crime rates and well the Vatican , has priests who can't keep their hands to themselves around little boys. In fact RICHARD the LIONHART partook in CANABLISM.
'"We shall never die of hunger
      While that we may first
      Slay the Saracens downright
Wash the flesh and roast the head..." ...this is what he said after his cooks had prepped him a meal with Sacren meat.
      The Tartarians also practiced it.
So the Kings of Europe would eat their opponents for medicinal purposes does it mean that all Western Europeans partook in their crimes. No.
Stop justifiying the genocide of Nahuatl people for this, if they partook in mass sacrafice, how come none of the other native tribes partook in it?
The reason why Mexicoatl did not take out Tlaxcala was because they were an alliance in the Azcapuzalco war, they had just started to fight against each other around 1500 as the Mexicoatl annexed Cholula against Tlaxcalan wishes. When Iberians arrive the war had already started and Tlaxcala would have won because the Tarascans had just joined them.
But history would repeat itself, as Tlaxcala and New Spain was overthrown by the Mestizo class of Tenochtilan (Mexicoatl) now called Mexico City, hence the reason why the country was called Mexico instead of Tlaxico.

If you listen to the documentary, they were deliberately not destroyed to provide captives for the flowery wars. That does not mean that the empire that dominated everything down to Guatemala could not take over a small area like Tlaxcala. But, the captives had to come from somewhere.

Yeah, they had no reason to like the Aztecs. Although, the Spaniards did deal poorly with the other native groups. The greater part of the suffering the Spanish brought was in the form of plagues and germs. Rather than intended killing and cruelty.

    • @misterkefir
      @misterkefir 5 років тому +19

That's a fact, not an opinion. Why was it like that? Well, that's because the spaniards actually wanted the amerindians to convert and save their souls..
anglos (puritans + other protestant sectarians) on the other hand, thought of themselves as the new israelites, thought that america was their new promised land and that the north amerindian population were the Canaanites, so their job was to kill them all right from the start.
This is actually 100% true, too. E. Michael Jones talked about it a lot in many of his podcasts, for example.

I have a disability which makes it hard for me to read and pronounce things properly, its just that I have a very high verbal IQ so it makes it seem out of place. If you notice I suck at reading things out loud but I do very well when I talk free form. I have trouble seeing the order of letters. Also dropping syllables is part of the Southern Ontario accent.
I don't say that to be like one of the big-brained things. Children in Ontario at least have IQ tests in grade school and I scored at a post-secondary level vocabulary in grade 3 and a 99.99 percentile in verbal IQ. But a sub-kindergarten level in terms of artistic ability and grade 1 in terms of letter printing.
Like I was never able to learn to hand write because my manual dexterity is so bad.
Its interesting with regards to reading because I only really learned to read in grade 2 but I read all 3 LOTR books in grade 4 and would often read a book a week.
Anyways learning disabilities always have interested me.

Cortez was never a colonizer for the Spanish crown .When Cortez left Spain at the age of 18 he wasn’t a soldier he wasn’t a politician he was a student of Spanish law. He originally landed in the Caribbean where he made his fortune then decides to sell everything because he wanted to completely remove himself from Spain. So he funded his own ships and crew of 500 people. There is a lot of lies about that have been told as truth concerning the arrival of the spaniards to the Americas Starting whit the narrative that it was a conquest.

The genocide, rape, robbery, theft of land and theft of resources does not seem like a feel good story. Around 95% of people in Mexico and Central America were killed and subsequently enslaved for 100s and 100s and 100s of years. Do you want to make a feel good story about concentration camps?

I doubt Bernal (not Bernial) said anything about any genocide. 95% of the people in Mexico and Central America were definitely NOT killed, though many were, that's a war of conquest for you. Enslavement of natives was generally forbidden, though of course, some bad people continued to do so. Making it seems like the Spanish conquest has anything to do with the concentration camps is ridiculous and intelectually dishonest. It was a war, and a conquest, so you got what you can expect from any war and conquest. Grow up, we've all been on both sides fo the conflict, yet we do not keep whining about it.

@@goodaimshield1115 that is factually untrue. It was a genocide. In fact it was one the largest genocides in history. The population of Mexico and Central America went from 28 million people in 1521 to a little over 2 million in a 40 year period. You can say fake facts but that is not the case. The life expectancy for a Inca Indian working in a Spanish silver mine was 6 months......this is hilarious the false justifications. If you want to play mental gymnastics to justify the world go ahead. I'm going to go off facts and real history and real events that shaped the world today.
