Hey guys, I'm not familiar with fish in Sweden, just wondering what that fish could have been besides a cod that you lost? Do you have White Sea bass there?
CoLbEeBrYaN late answer, but rather late than never. I live near and fish where they were, there are also different spiecies of flatfish and sea trout, also mackerel and herring. But most likely it was a sea trout
we tried, and of course it works, but the problem is to lift the fish off the bottom on lighter rods. Where we are fishing there's often a lot of current, so you are not only fishing the fish but also the boat drifting. I guess if you are fishing a spot with less current i would be a lot easier.
I was flyfishing for Cod a few times, in northern Germany, where i live. Most of our Cod are a bit smaller, about 50 cm is the average size and in my opinion u need atleast an 8 weight, if you fish deeper than 4 meter. In shallower water u could take a 6 or 7 weight. But as i said our Cod are a bit smaller :)
Moin Steffan, what fly line do you unse for Pearch (the one in Pearch Pro 2017) for example? Could you unse the same one for cod from shore as well? Thanks a lot!
i use 5-weight for pollock and sea trout. you need power in the rod to keep the cod out of the kelp, so 7 would be appropriate imo (which is what i use)
On a lot of these shows they are using stripping guards that look to be made of neoprene. Where do they get them from? The most brand in the states makes their's out of lycra.
What is the point of doing this when you do not even have to cast? That the point of fly fishing. Its all about the presentation. You might as well use conventional tackle. This is not fly fishing. This is fly jigging.
bustedcrunk no it just confuses me why they bring out all of their gear (like a strip basket) when they could just drop down the fly, drift, and bounce it off the bottom
That is a new twist on fly fishing for sure. Excellent video as usual from the fly tv guys.
Amazing video guys 💥💥
Really enjoyed that! some good action there...
Great stuff, guys!
great video..wish we had cod up here..looks like alot of fun catching them on a fly. :)
awesome show !
Awesome. Loved it.
Nice, I like it, congrats! ;)
Great show. What fly line did u use to get down deep
when doing catch and release, you should really push the barb down or break it off. makes a big difference for the fish.
Så jäkla coolt ;)
How is the nice music om the begin called, when you say, and we're doing this.?

ElliotPRSN could have been, but most likely it was a very big cod!
do u think it would be able to fish a 7 weight for them
why not, but the fight will be a good time longer
yea defo, i use 7-weight and i've yet to meet a fish too large to handle.
Vad är det för låt som börjar vid 12:00 ?
Song in the first part of the video??
lila/svart bästa färgen på fluga! :-)
Reckon this type of thing would be doable on lighter rods than a #10? Say #5-6?

Hej Simon.
dom fleste tillverkarna av ekolod, har bra lod till rimliga priser! Jag hade tittat på Lowrance modellerna som heter "hook" eller "elite".

gcmillar tiemco are making these
👍
cod on fly? whaaaat? XD
snygg video vmh jens flugfiskarn ifrån strömsund
hvor kraftige fluestænger bruger i? :)
Nicholai Andersen klass 9/10

+Dan 2c plus Nah, man. That's a pretty uptight perspective... Fish however you find fun.

The point of fly fishing is catching fish and having fun.
Jin Kim exactly my point. This looks quite boring.
It's fly TV Dan. If they used spin tackle it wouldn't make sence to make a video for FLY TV. More videos more money.
Why don't you ever take the fish home and eat them?
Sometimes we do!
