This video represents part of a system-wide educational intervention for the Banner Health network of 28 hospitals over 6 Western States. We developed an airway lead program to focus on improving safety with airway management in emergency departments and ICUs in the network. Each ED and ICU has an airway lead. The educational intervention includes a 1 day long simulation based day demonstrating the principles of optimal airway management for them to take back to their facility for local implementation. In addition, we made this virtual reality video installed on a Oculus Go that each airway lead will use to implement the educational and patient safety principles in their facility.
