    I do enjoy on-board wet laps as there’s an added element which alters the run of the mill ‘balls out’
    brake late thrash about !
    The new tarmac has to be a great enhancement in safety too.

    I never loved Porsches. Sure, I liked the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder just fine, but I could never get behind the 911, just not my cup of tea.
    But there's something about the Cayman-platform that really hits the spot for some reason! It's more traditional exotic looking, great shape, the head and rear lights are gorgeous and it's still a Porsche, so it drives like a maniac! I'd so want one of those Boxster Spyders which is pretty much a GT4 that you can take the roof off! That's the absolute dream!

    Always appreciate sharing of laps and it is especially interesting to see how those tires and the 718 performs in the wet. Is that a normal thing for the brakes to make the noise in the wet conditions? Giving respect to the previous six cylinder in previous models, I dig the noises of the 718's turbo 4.

      @sebastianvittel74 5 років тому

      Richard Murray, Jr. if going fast you don’t nee to do it, it was a pedagogic lap to show what happen when the grip limit arrive, to show that nothing bad happen VS early throttle gaz who can makes you in trouble.
      Rain driving must be done with understeer for the feeling

    • @981porsche3
      @981porsche3 5 років тому

      @Richard Murray, Jr.: The corrections you see are correcting understeer. I think that was the point. Also, you do not want heavy lateral g-forces on the dry line, which is the reason for wide entry and staying off the dry-line apex. Rubber builds up on the areas where cars normally have heavy lateral g’s during dry conditions, and those areas become extra slick when wet-hence staying off them in the rain by taking a wide line and favoring understeer.
