I have wanted to make this stitch for a while. Although I follow you, this is the first time I have seen this video! Thank you, you made the Filet Crochet simple x
Sarah .. you are very talented in crocheting. Thank you for breaking these projects down step by step. You give me the courage to try new stitches. Thank you so very much for your time in making these and sharing. 😀
Hi amazing pattern. I have already started my project. Can you pls suggest which border will go well with this. Can we increase this or this is the maximum height we can make
I don’t know if you are still interested in a response but I finished my square with a half double crochet border (3 stitches in the corners to allow for stretch) and it came out really nice. I’ll try to add a photo.
I’d like to do a large version of this filet pattern. But concerned about the wavy edges. How can they be straightened? By the way I think your crochet videos are excellent
You could but I have found that solid colors show up the open work much better. Varigation seems to fool the eye and you don't see it stand out as much. It loses punch and is too busy.
Hello i just took some yarn and did this but the problem is the number of rows i jave is decreasing. Am i counting it wrong??? The first row had 39 and the last row became 29 lol
Are you making sure to count everything correctly including the chain spaces? 😊 It can be helpful to use stitch markers to help you keep track of how many stitches you have, and to check after you’ve completed each row until you get the hang of it.
Hi Sheila I don't have a written pattern for this at the moment, I'm in the process of updating all my tutorials with written patterns but this obviously takes time so keep watching :)
@@bellacococrochet I have a pattern that is filet for a baby blanket and I'm having trouble deciphering the instructions. ie. the solid squares on my graph count as dc in each of next 2 sts (either a ch-1 sp or a dc). An open square on the graph counts as dc in next st (either a ch-1 sp or a dc), ch 1, skip next st. I'm somewhat new to following patterns. I mostly free hand a project. Thanks for replying.
Just so easy to understand. This has explained it beautifully. Thanks.
Very encouraging for learners of Filet Crochet. You simplified and explained the rudiments very well. Well done and thanks from Australia 🐨🐨

Thanks for this!!!!
Hi bella please can you create a tutorial on how to increase with filet design
Love it Thank you
Can you do this pattern as a temperature blanket? Love your tutorials
I apologize, I meant to ask in that last comment if a person could just keep on going and make this a blanket using this stitch. :)
Yes, you could definitely make a blanket out of this!
Very pretty..TFS
Wonderful, I've been looking for something like this. Are you a mind reader 😁 thank you.
Can you use a multicolor yarn when doing filet crochet or is solid is better??
You could but I have found that solid colors show up the open work much better. Varigation seems to fool the eye and you don't see it stand out as much. It loses punch and is too busy.
Very easy to understand love it do you have any other pattern

How is this written in a pattern. what does it look like translated into word directions?

What do you guys call US treble crochet?
a US treble is a UK double treble x
Double crochet
👏💓😘💓💓💓
Nice & very easy
Noice
This is just double crochet...not treble
U. S. Double crochet but U.K treble, they mention it 1:50 (:
I work in UK terms so a UK Treble is a US Double, its the same stitch just different terminology :)
