This is technically in the Genre of Classical Music due to it having been played by an Orchestra and there having been a Composer of said song when you get to mainstream music sung by an artist then its under many Genres such as Classic/RnB/HipHop so thats why this will always be heard as a Classic Song plus this and that its *"One of the Greatest TV/Movie Songs ever Writen and One of the Longest living Songs for Over 30 Years"* yeah I think wanting this to be heard as a classic in 400 years is nothing. This Song is bound to be heard forever or at least until Earth ceases to exsist.
The flutes are flawless but what makes this so special is that guy back there with the timpani, punching in! Excellent reproduction! It added what the original lacked.
I’ve played this several times in community bands. I fought for the timp part. It gives me goosebumps every time we played it or I hear it. I played cymbals, gong, and assorted little perc instruments. One of our favorites to play.
This is awesome. Both STAR TREK and STAR WARS universes are great, and we all should enjoy them instead of fighting. They're different and cool at the same time. Long life to STAR TREK and STAR WARS!
Creeper Queendom Yeah it's a late answer but it must have been great to play this. I would love to play this in the orchestra I play in but we just played star trek through the years so I don't think we play sth from the reboot anytime soon (but we play Indiana Jones at the moment. It's fun but it's Lv.5 so it's really hard and yeah...) Which instrument do you play? Sorry for my bad english btw
I want the music for this on the flute 😂 i got the damn chills from thiss ommggg 😭😭 like this made me wanna cry, thats how good this was. I rarely curse but this was f*cking good. I play the flute and I was listening to the first song from the reboot series in 2009, and boyyy the music is sooo gooood. And the thing is, im only 15. I started watching Star Trek like last year and i started from the beginning with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley. Bro i love this so much 😂❤️ great job performing it.
Oh that beautiful horn crack. i was first chair for our concert band for our districts. I feel a bit better knowing that the other horns werent the only ones that crack that little melody. 2 days practice, i miss this piece D=
We're playing this in my highschool band right now, our concert is tomorrow. Definitely a fun piece to play! Especially with bass clarinets to the left of you, and tubas behind you.
Imagine being able to play that high on the trumpet and not sound like crap. Couldn’t be me lol (btw we’re doing this in my band and only one person can hit the high notes but she sounds really good so we’re saved)
I was literally thinking the same thing. a couple of BPM faster and its perfect. that and the drum fill during the intro needs to be more subtle. other than that, this is spot on
Beautiful, simply beautifully done, the entire end credits of the J.J. Abrams Movie. And to those whom criticized him for not being true, his composer beautifully blended his contemporary take on the original theme, as well as included the modified oma'ge to the original theme by putting it all in there in the blend. Well done. Somewhere in heaven Nimoy is smiling. God Speed Leonard... You are, and will be forever missed, and S...SPOCK!!!... No.......... Good bye old friend. You will Forever \\\///,-, Live Long, and Prosper.
wtf? You sound like "If we had some eggs, we could have ham and eggs, if we had some ham." Good music is awesome, regardless the source. If you didn't like "2001: A Space Odyssey" would you equally denigrate "On The Shores of the Beautiful Blue Danube"? (god Danube you!)
Yes, it can. This is a suite of themes from the 2009 movie, specifically the main theme and end credits. Michael Giacchino created his own Star Trek theme, which is used throughout most of the film, but during the credits, he uses the original Alexander Courage theme while seamlessly blending it with the theme he wrote. Or are just not aware that this is how the music is presented in the film and its soundtrack?
Predo Victor Ive Never been a Star Trek Fan, and when that moment you mentioned came with This Song... I almost dropped tears because of the EPICNESS!!! X3
Woah woah woah woah. Dude, you're blowing this way out of proportion. I just personally think that we can all have opinions. I liked this, and you didn't. We can agree on that. But I just think you're blowing this a little out of proportion, my friend. We can all have opinions, but there needn't be any cursing or other childish ways of insulting one another to solve it. I have had far too many arguments in which all that occured was cursing, and no resolution of conflict.
I'd like this to be heard as "classic" in 400 years..

"Technically" Classical Music is defined by the time period, following Baroque and preceding Romantic.
This is contemporary, AKA neoclassical.
"Is that classical music?" - McCoy
"I believe it is." - Spock
A legend music
Played this on clarinet for my dad on his birthday, because he loved Star Trek in college, and he loved it
The flutes are flawless but what makes this so special is that guy back there with the timpani, punching in! Excellent reproduction! It added what the original lacked.
these guys did the original this is a mix of differant themes from star trek.
Pietro Dantas I need to learn to play this on the timpani by Saturday and I'm shaking
hope that worked out for ya ...

it was so much fun playing Piccolo for this song. One of my favorites :)
The original was badass. But this version gives me...absolute....CHILLS!
I really like where the two themes are interlinked for the ending.
This is awesome. Both STAR TREK and STAR WARS universes are great, and we all should enjoy them instead of fighting. They're different and cool at the same time. Long life to STAR TREK and STAR WARS!
Ive heard this piece when i was a baby because my dad watched star trek and now im enjoying it😂
Played this piece last year and it still hasn't gotten old to me. Shout out to those flutes who did a totally rad job in this c:

Sorry for my bad english btw
Could you give me the name of your part, I'm looking to play it with my own band :)
Chills, man. Chills.
Best symphony ever
Very nice! I really enjoyed playing this in high school and this ensemble sounds great! Balanced, great dynamics, good intonation, and precision.
Space... The final frontier... These are the voyages of starship, Enterpr.....
I am unbelievably happy right now because this is something I could technically play
This is so good I love it so much
Keep your negative issues to yourself. This song gave me such goosebumps.

Playing this is one of the great joys of life
This makes me want to be part of star fleet every time....!
Played this last year, such an amazing piece.
That's exactly what I thought too, thanks for clearing that up!
I particularly liked the flourishes in the second part.
Is it just me or does that audio sound TOO good?
....Wow! I got this piece to play with the symphonic band at my school. I'm glad I found this video so I could follow along. Wonderful audio!
傑出演奏
would have paid to be in the room for that, awe inspiring.
Very good.
We're playing this in my highschool band right now, our concert is tomorrow. Definitely a fun piece to play! Especially with bass clarinets to the left of you, and tubas behind you.
we're playing this song in my high school band this year! i love it :3

Great Job! My High school Band is preforming this same suite tonight!! Going to be so Epic!
Sounds great!

Musica trascendente, bella e coinvolgente.
Flawless. Brilliant!
Muy bueno, very good!
It wasn't what I was expecting, but it's very enjoyable in its own right :D.
Of all the star trek themes this one ranks high
excelente. muito bom mesmo
Brilliant recreation by an Wind Orchestra.
AWSOMEEEE ITS SO AWSOME IT LIKES ME
wow, it sounds very good, i play this in my orchestra too.
Great job!
Bloody awesome !!!
Imagine being able to play that high on the trumpet and not sound like crap. Couldn’t be me lol (btw we’re doing this in my band and only one person can hit the high notes but she sounds really good so we’re saved)
awesome!
WOW!!!!
Playing it at 2x the speed is really funny 😂
I played this piece with the SA Police band its so fun to play
I was literally thinking the same thing. a couple of BPM faster and its perfect. that and the drum fill during the intro needs to be more subtle. other than that, this is spot on
Great work!!!! I want to play it!
great job!
Awesome!!
I'm playing this in band!
very nicely done ! Bravo !
Who is performing? The players all look very young. The performance is flawless! Great Job! subarashii des!
Michael Giacchino most likely chose young men and women because of the instrumental songs name(enterprising young men)
Buzz Bray Its Asia. Their education system is insane xD.
@@Nicholascogswell No, Giacchino didn't choose them. This is the Taipei Wind Orchestra performing at a concert, so it's not the original recording.

Muito bem executado!
muito boa esta musica
Genial, muito bom, música a linguagem universal de fato.
GOOSE BUMPS!
As a modern Trek fan, I'll always call the classics the best, but I do enjoy Abrams' take on Star Trek.
Terry Chiou, look!!!
DA HORA MUITO BOM
Damn that timphony (sorry for misspelling)
👏👏👏👏🖖🖖🖖
No Crescendo at the end? common most fun part
Even if it wasn't well balanced, it still sounded good.
Terry Chiou, listen! It's "Star Trek"!!!
AWESOME
srsly it would be good music if it was'nt star trek
I love this arrangement for woodwind! But still prefer the original with string section.
Wow, they used actual French horns in this.
It can't decide if it wants to be original or new theme
Yes, it can. This is a suite of themes from the 2009 movie, specifically the main theme and end credits. It needs to be a little more up-tempo. But I agree, they sound great.
Mother of trumpet at 1:16
if there were no video you wouldnt know that an orchestra were playing it
where in the movies does this song first appear?
8 the begining when the titles come up
Predo Victor Ive Never been a Star Trek Fan, and when that moment you mentioned came with This Song... I almost dropped tears because of the EPICNESS!!! X3
Every time the uss Enterprise gets back up after getting hit hard or I’m the beginning of the movie lol
@@yubipuni2812 i just like the music
A strings section would help but great piece!
This is a wind orchestra. No strings.
Like a string section?
This is a wind orchestra. No strings.
Who doesn't?
Why does his orchestra only hit sour notes when they're playing the Alexander Courage "Trek" theme? At least twice?
No, it doesn't "only hit sour notes."
wow might download on i tunes its epic better than the same track with the film

我們是星艦社團,請問這曲目之後還會演奏嗎?
"Let's punch it!"
It was good for such a small orchestra but I think he could have done better with a much fuller orchestration. This just sounds somewhat thin
No, it doesn't sound "thin." And "fuller orchestration"? This is a wind orchestra. There's only so much orchestration you can use.
wat is 1:16
