She was a smart, caring, wonderful woman! I was always told since childhood, I was part Lakota. I had a few friends that were also part Lakota that I spoke with online quite often. Some years ago I drove into Arizona through New Mexico, and I was looking for the Navajo County offices. I was misdirected by a woman at the AZ Tourism Station off I-40. I filled up the fuel tank, had drinking water, and other supplies. Then just before turning south on the road that was to take me to my destination, there was a sign posted, warning that there were no road services, patrol, fuel stations, or food vendors for the next 57 miles. Every now and then, there were mailboxes with family names posted near the road, but when one looked for a house or a building, or activity of some sort, none were to be seen. Finally, almost an hour later, I arrived at the town of Saint Johns. I could not find the Navajo County Offices, so I stopped at the only gasoline station in town. The attendant told me the county offices there were for Apache County. I asked him if I had to drive back the 57 miles to I-40, and he directed me to a "shortcut". He told me there was another road, but that it was closed certain days of the week. In fact, there were Native Americans posted at the closed off entrance to the aforementioned road. I remember the first time I heard john barry, my father took me to see king kong at the baker theatre in Dover new jersey in 1976, his music captured my attention and I haven't stopped listening since
If there ever was a song that best describes music, Dances With Wolves, it is this song; to include the melody, harmony, key, metre and rhythm. Each element is speaking loudly, then softly, fast then slow, to the others in a way that draws one into its arms, causing one's emotions to a blissful state. The pitches of highs and lows in this music are organised in such a way that is perfect for the ears, the heart and soul of the listeners. A beautiful and wonderful piece of music, that complements each element in its arrangement. Though cannot see John Barry in the movie, he is there through his arrangements every second of this wonderful movie and through all his arrangements within as well.
Fantastic performance and so much more beautiful seeing the orchestra play. Bravo TSSO and shame it wasnt the full soundtrack. Loving the intent focus of those on the drums, often dont get enough credit.

The playing and conducting is of such a high standard that it is a pity that a longer suite was not played. Of particular note is the contribution of the drums which is vividly caught by a recording of exceptional quality.
I had no idea what to expect, Taiwan being some distance away from England, but I would be pleased if someone could identify the conductor who certainly deserves to be recognised.

音樂是如此神奇
This is my 2nd favorite John Barry composition, the score from Somewhere in Time being my favorite. If you haven't heard it, you are missing out.
Gary Kerkstra My exact thoughts. This piece spans the entire movie’s storyline. Very evocative.
Excellent job! I know this music is hard. Trumpet work is just killer. The whole movie was hard to produce. Buffalo running almost 20 miles after the money shots. Was worth it.
It's one thing to hear music like this and quite another to watch it being produced. I would love to see it in person. It's just wonderful.
Le plus beau film d'indiens que j'ai jamais vu
Fantastic percussion: the drums of war, straight from the battlefield into the music hall.
A gift to the Classical Music by John Barry at his impassioned best!
So beautiful. This is a first class band. And I heard that the musicians are only amateurs, from eclectic mix of working individuals from different companies. They're awesome!
I played Dances With Wolves music composition by the great, great late John Barry every day straight for 2 years. This still moves me to tears in 2018. This was a magnificent performance and I so enjoyed seeing and hearing it. Thank you.
Fabulous performance. Flawless. Bravo!
It´s so sad to get older and see all the people who made your childhood something special pass aways..Im so glad there are recordings by now! :p
six months on, it still sounds fresh, and I still say take a bow you musicians in orchestra.
Bravo maestro and orchestra, very very nice performance of a wonderful piece of music..watching from Canada..
What a wonderful Interpretation of John Barry's great piece of Music: excellent!!!
One of the best musical scores in movie history 👍
I remember the first time I heard john barry, my father took me to see king kong at the baker theatre in Dover new jersey in 1976, his music captured my attention and I haven't stopped listening since
Very nice! I'm 38...I still remember playing this song in High School 1994. The movie itself is ONE OF A KIND!!
This is a great tribute to John Barry. I have listened this score so infinite times and continue.
As a man who eats music this is indeed a magnificent feast for a starving man. Joe.
John Barry - Thank you for the beautiful music, RIP
+Dominic Martinez He was the greatest
I hope Kevin finds this!
Beautiful. Thank You.🌼🌹🌸🌻🍀
Fantastic performance and so much more beautiful seeing the orchestra play. Bravo TSSO and shame it wasnt the full soundtrack. Loving the intent focus of those on the drums, often dont get enough credit.
your music is so beautiful, brings tears to my eyes...Thank you Thank you...Buddy S.
Quite possibly the sweetest music that I have ever heard
John Barry . Thank You so much for your talent & giving the world your art pieces of music

Incredible, I just wish I had speakers loud enough to surround myself with this wonderful sound. Fantastic, Thank you
Music transcends time, space, culture, language an vain imaginings. It's simply breathtaking!
So wunderschön! Danke sehr! ❤️❤️❤️
Beautifully done by the Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra
And then there was PEACEFUL BLISS!
Beautiful sublime music and performance. No matter how many times I listen to it, it always gives me this fuzzy feeling each time I listen to it.
Perfekt gespielt wie im Film, den ich sehr schätze und der mich oft erinnert an Socke 😊 und John.
I have never seen this film again because it is so sad. Je n'ai jamais revu ce film tellement il est triste 😥
+Darrell Jones what's england got to do with it u bigheaded idiot
That Taiwan is some distance away from England is no more than a statement of geographical fact which should, of itself, be an adequate explanation of my limited acquaintance with the talents of the musicians of Taiwan, but nevertheless I acknowledge your very kind description of me and I appreciate the obvious generosity of spirit which has prompted it.
@@israelbenyehuda958 I believe he was saying he was from England and that marked out why he might not be as familiar with an asian conductor. You went out of your way to insult when the DJ had not been rude at all. Shame you werent man enough to apologise.
