Nice one Allen , i always buy ex BT vans every 3 years when they upgrade there fleet and they are really well racked out with good quality steel powder coated racking that’s perfect for our trade.....👍

It's great to have your ladders under the floor rather than on roof - except when you come back to van and some arse has parked 6 inches from your bumper. No way to get then in or out except having to move van. Thanks for another great vid.
Never had one issue with getting the ladders out, Normally parked on a customer drive. Thanks.
Great video! I total agree when you say its better racking your own van out to meet your own personal needs, did mine recently for about £250, It was a right mess before now its so much better, and I reckon having a tidy van has effect on the way you work too.

I do like your setup, I've always built my own racking, no way any pre made racking would enable me to get as much kit in.
The thing with ply is if you need to fit in extra equipment or something doesn't work you can change it.

Never thought of the metal racking. Good idea as will be lighter than making all out of plywood

Very well done, only issue I would have would be when I have full heating system it doesn’t leave much space for material but still superb 👌🏻
I was planning to do this tomorrow to a Movano. I am a chippy by trade and could make some great racking. but its time and weight that's the problem. using garage racking is cheap, fast and light compared to wood. the problem I am having is I want to fit full sheets of ply or plasterboard under the false floor. but obviously, I don't want the floor to feel like a trampoline.. UPDATE, halfway finished, gave up on the false floor idea. Got two sets of 180x90x45mm shelving units lovely blue colour. shelves on one board rack on the other, small workbench against the bulkhead. I intend on making my first video, I have spent £80 so far lol. added a few nuts and bolts don't trust the clips. so glad I never spent loads on timber now.
Just watched your video very nice job l have done my oown van but completely different to what you have done but what you say about buying manufactured racking is true, your better to do it yourself and make it to suit your needs, you should put in some led lights, there great on the dark days and evening calls, very impressive job

Very nice job there Alan...Any reason you don't go for telescopic ladders? I would think they would be much easier to store in a van...Also, any recommendations on van security?
I must admit I just chuck everything in the back of my van..all my fittings etc are in fatmax boxes.
