Thanks for the feature guys! Love the event and look forward to coming back next year with it being more tested! Anyone who is interested in seeing the build i have videos on my channel.
Yes, there is on on the GRM forum and you can go see a few videos on my channel. they wheels are 16x8 and where on the car when i bought it. the tires that were on the car when i got it where stretched, so they fit better than this square set up. but these tires are 245/45/16 all around. the car had coil overs but one in the rear is seized so luckily it didn't rub in the rear, the front however i lifted about 1.5 inches and it would still snag the fender occasionally.
Shit ik you commented this 2 years ago, but as long as you know what the engine mounts look like in the stock engine you can just fabricate/machine the mounts in a way that will weld onto the rx7 engine bay and than throw the engine in like a stock engine. I’d say the bigger issue would be the wiring harness, but if you got a Holley tuner kit for like 2,000 than you can basically just plug and play
This is a 5.3L. No 5.3 has an LS designation. They're LM, L3, etc. They are in the same family of the LS. They share a lot of parts with the LS. But they are not LSs.
MASSIVE BUT YEA PLEASE EXPLAIN $2000 BUILD,,,, NOTHING ADDS UP UNDER $2GRAND AHHAHAA,, THE CAR ITSELF WOULD BEEN OVER 2G,,, FULLSTOP,,,then you have to put into the equation the cost of the original car he bought for the donor engine,,..etc,,,im just keen to see where and how the budget was made up thats all,,not hating,,just interested,,ahha
He could have gotten parts from friends or found some amazing deals. I plan on building an LS swapped FC Rx7. I already have many parts that can be used so my build will probably be under 3k. Got the car for $500 and already own a junkyard LS from a relative who didn't want the vehicle anymore.

Was there a build thread for this car? I would like to know a few details about, like tire/wheel size and how he made it fit in the rear?

I’ve followed this build on UA-cam, great job making it there and competing

It was great getting to know John. Look forward to completing with him again. Go check out his youtube channel. ua-cam.com/users/JWhit-FoxAholics
Thinking about purchasing a Mazda RX-7 how do they handle with the weight of the ls in the front
An rx7 engine is behind the front axle to so it has fantastic weight distribution
Love this build!
The 4.8 was taken as a sacrifice by the Rotary Gods. Do not take their wrath lightly. :)
the 5.3 blew up too lol
@@J-Whit That's funny. Can't make this stuff up
I mean a rotory is gonna kick the bucket to so k swap
Does an lm 5.3 match up with the trans in a 1989 fc?
i wish
How did you get the engine to mount in?

This must be a corvette or camaro owner ...😂😂😂
@@shiftycaponeixi1I've never owned either. Thanks for playing tho!!
Those wheels and tires are almost $2000 lmao.
I bought the car for $600 as a roller with those wheels. It came with a 5th spare too. And 1 set of tires is budget exempt, so i went with the a7s
I will buy it for $2000
