@@idk27212 well the writing in Urdu is kinda similar or almost similar to Arabic which is the hardest language to learn, and I'm an Urdu speaker but there are many words, idioms, phrases and stuff that are even difficult for me to learn so it may not be "easy" but "easier" compared to a few other languages

living in Pakistan for me as Persian speaker is quite interesting but i live in Peshawar where most of the people speaks Pashto and using form this website Iam able to learn Urdu very easily.

I'm from Lahore and appreciate the fact that many people do wanna learn Urdu... In our country it's such a mess... We don't know about what words mean... Basic words even... Kids aty school ask teacher to either give a synonym for the word or just translate it in English to understand the meaning properly and to be honest I'm quite pissed off because of it... Urdu Should be our first priority as natives but we don't really get it...😌

I am from Assam, India and I can understand 99% of the things she is saying, because it's so similar to Hindi that I learnt in School and from Hindi movies.
As an Assam born our innate benefits are that we can speak Assamese, Bengali Hindi, English, Urdu (95% ) and Odia (80% similarity with Assamese).

I was actually born in Pakistan but moved to America when I was 4. My parents speak Urdu but I was strictly taught English when I came to live in the U.S. This caused an odd affect which allowed me to understand Urdu perfectly, but never be able to speak it. I spoke Urdu to my Pakistani coworker today. I just asked him how he was (in Urdu) and he got so excited and had the biggest smile on his face. All i said were three words and he acted like i had given him the most amazing gift ever. Makes me want to learn the language more!

I've always wanted to learn a second language. I study German when i have time, but i do not speak it to anyone so i forget a lot. Hopefully i will get better!

@@fazeenabdeen because the letters aren't really "that arabic"... I'm a native arabic speaker (morocco) and their script is adapted to their language, it does look more persian than arabic. It sounds weird but although the script is indeed Arabic, they're using it the "persian way", so when I see their letters, I think "persian" lol not arabic.

It because small part of urdu is came from TURKISH..
Abdullah Khan Hindi is a copy of Urdu , Urdu is 900 years old language while Hindi was made last century and is Urdu but with a Sanskrit script .urdu is a mixture of Arabic , Persian , Turkic and punjabi while Hindi doesn’t have as much mixture.

Urdu is really easy for me coz my mother tongue is Hindi and its really similar to Urdu if it comes to communication but writing structure is different

99% of people who say salamo aaleykom dont even mean it literally so its exactly same as hello. Sometimes people who say "hello" even mean it actually more than people who say "salamo aaleykom"

@@ddy4772 Urdu Was Established way before than hindi its like 6 centuries.... However Urdu has a lot of Turkish loan words whereas hindi is basically Corrupted version of Urdu with Sanskrit loan word.... i am From nepal and ya Nepali Also uses Sanskrit loan words

"Urdu" is a turkish word which means "Army"
When Muslim armies atta¢ked south asia they were having a hard time to communicate each other, so they created a language Urdu, which is very similar to Arabic, Turkish & Persian. Hence Urdu called as a language of army, urdu also known as a language of spiritually & poetry. Urdu is a national language of Pakistan 🇵🇰
Urdu is not only mixture of Turkish, Arabic and Persian???? In urdu 60% words are from hindu vedic sanskrit.... rest 40% is Persian Turkish Irani Arabic.... urdu was introduced by mughals because mughals were facing language barriers with Indians so , they added 40% their native words into sanskrit and made a new language known as urdu ... pakistani urdu is more sanskrit in comparison to Turkish Arabic as well as Persian ( afgani) .... that's the reason pakistani's can understand "hindi"... secondly urdu is Hindustani zuban and many states of India is having urdu as their official language..... thirdly Indians speak mixture of Sanskrit, hindiko and punjabi....
