To all my foreign friends out here, I am giving y'all a small advice. Indians always mix English and Hindi and it's really not a problem if sometimes you started speaking English. So, never get nervous if you accidently forget Hindi, English may play a backup and people will consider as fine cuz I am Indian LOL

@@Aethelhadas Welcome sis :) and yes, for speaking or listening purposes DO NOT visit this channel. Very good for vocabulary, grammar and writing/reading. However listening and speaking is absolutely not in the way it should be. So, prefer other channels over this.

@@bojanav.7051 Nobody speaks entirely in Hindi. In formal or business settings people speak English. Common phrases such as thank you, sorry, hello, excuse me, bye etc are understood by almost all of the Indians especially the younger gen. Hindi + English mixed (80% hindi +20% english) is used in informal/normal communication. You can learn that best from cartoons in Hindi. (Someone actually mentioned they learnt from there and I think thats a brilliant idea). You can level up by songs and movies in Hindi.
Hindi channels here are good for vocabulary and they tell you how to say a certain word or phrases but in reality people speak with their own accent/ regional accent and slangs.
When I arrived to Saudi Arabia, an Indian citizen helped me to find my friends, so I decided to learn Indian language to thank any body from India.

Let me tell u my secret. I watched Japanese children's show like Ninja Hattori and shinchan in Hindi . And learned Hindi in just about 1 year ( only speaking) and later started learning to write.

Looked up this video because I met a sweet Indian lady at our grocery store. We have hit it off and I recently found out she speaks Hindi. I thought it would be fun to learn a few words in her language and speak a couple with her. I don't expect to be fluent but thought it would be a kind gesture and honestly I enjoy languages.

I have recently moved into a neighborhood that has a large Hindi population. I am so impressed with how peaceful and kind they are but still very guarded. I have always wanted to learn the language and this seems like such a fun and easy way to learn. I am thankful for these lessons and can't wait to speak it very soon.

I visited Delhi in 1972 . I am a Malaysian of Indian origin. The Delhites refused to speak in English to me (as I appeared Indian to them ) Hindi was alien as Greek was to me . Within one week I was able to understand and communicate a bit in Hindi . It was like learning to swim as a result of being pushed in to the pool .
Actually being a Malaysian Tamil I found that Hindi had many common words with Tamil and Malay .. .. yes Malay
yes because hindi is direct descendent of Sanskrit and we know the similarities between Sanskrit and Tamil.

I had a chance to play in a Bollywood film if I had learned Hindi properly. So, I'm giving it a try. I already understand 90% of the words, but never had a dialogue with anyone in Hindi. The Grammar, pronouns are same, but verbs and literal words are different. Both of these languages are based on Sanskrit language, but Hindi uses Sanskrit words, whereas urdu mostly uses Persian words.

This is the best Hindi learning Channel ever, reading writing and speaking. It doesn't make you memorize the sentance but it teaches you, how to make sentance yourself in 40 hrs only
I understand hindi because I came from an indian family but the thing is I was raised in Singapore where English is used the most. So my hindi isnt fluent. I can read and write and understand but I just cant speak and I am failing my hindi classes lol. So hopefully I can improve my hindi. Good luck to everyone learning hindi!

Some of my coworkers at my job are Punjabi, they speak both Hindi and Punjabi. There are many more resources for Hindi than Punjabi, so I think I will study basic Hindi in order to be able to greet them and say things like "Good job! Great work!"
