A few Corrections: 1. "Joota" is singular "a shoe" for "a pair of shoes" its "jooton ka joura" 2. "Dress" is also called "Joura" 3. You can also say "Dhoondna" instead of "Talash kerna" as it more commonly used 4. Also "Bhagna" and "Dorna" have similar meanings "to run" so they are often used interchangeably.(This one's actually not a correction but an additional information)

Don't mind. I can spot 40% words in Quran, which are used in Urdu literature as root words. Thanx
Shukriya, you are the great Urdu Ustadzah. I want to teach my daughter with this Urdu Language video. Very2 clear sound. I've one question for you, what is the differences between Urdu and Hindi language? Salaam from Indonesia
There are small differences between Urdu and Hindi in the slang. But the “formal” aspect of both languages is where there are bigger differences. You may think of them as different dialects in a sense.
Azerbaijani is a Turkic language language whereas Urdu is a member of the Indo-Aryan branch of the Indo-European language family. Since both languages contain a lot of Persian and Arabic loanwords, many words may seem familiar. However, Urdu is unrelated to Azeri, but is related Punjabi and Hindi. It's distantly related to Persian. Azeri on the other hand is related to Turkish, Kazakh and the like.
Zerdari, you are absolutely right. Muslim speak Persio Arabic root word based Urdu, while others speak their own native based Urdu. You can find actual Muslim Urdu in poetry and literature of the past history. Non Muslim compare this Urdu from Quran and from the Persian Kingdom heritage. It would be good, if Gurba kushtam roze awwal, haha... Thank you.
Great video! I am curious actually if learning Hindi would be a useful step to learn Urdu? I've read that they're mostly the same language, but they seem to have different feels to them. I'm only asking because there are so many Hindi resources out there, but relatively few for Urdu
Jamie52Firstly hindi script(devnagari) would be easier for starters, as urdu script is lack of some vowels so hard to read... and also materials for hindi learning are better

I can speak a little bit in Urdu.. But I've a problem I Dun know the main different between hindi & Urdu when we talk to someone.. Maybe it's verbal dissimilar.. Can u suggest me how can understand the different between hindi & Urdu sentences?? Wanna learn Urdu.. Um From BD.. 👍
There is some pronunciation different between them, like in urdu its "Zindabad" it means long live, while in hindi it's mostly pronounced "jindabad". Urdu also uses more Farsi and arabic words while Hindi uses more sanskrit words, like for saying thanks in urdu we say 'Shukriya' but in hindi its 'Dhanyavad' there are many examples but in a normal conversation between both Hindi and an urdu speaker, both can understand each other almost perfectly, but if you want to speak literally urdu and hindi (pure) then the difference between both is huge and understanding each other is very difficult...

Allah is Arabic in origin while Khuda is Persian in origin. I think the former was made popular by Gulf expatriates.

There are two types of "R" letters. The heavier one which sounds in between "R" and "D" is correct for those words.
