Thank you so much for your very kind and uplifting comment. I have been at it for awhile now and yes progress has been slow. But I face a difficult challenge...I started out as a channel that was mainly about orchids and have expanded to include all plants that I am passionate about. So in essence I am starting from scratch and coming into it brand new again. My hope is to continue to provide good content, educational information, inspiration, laughter and to provide innovative and creative ideas. Just as long as I do that then I know I am accomplishing my mission regardless of the numbers. I know how much my plant adventures have done for me in regards to my mental, physical and spiritual health and I can only hope that I can spread the blessing to others. OMG!! As an Ecuadorian myself how did I not know they have a nursery here. I’m shook, so many amazing plants! I can’t even pronounce the names of the ones I liked but the mamay like with the silver was my fav.
LOL! Yea they opened up in October 2018...and they had quite the variety and I was told that they get new shipment in every Friday so they continue to get new varieties on a consistent basis. I feel very fortunate to have them in my own backyard. ...and the mamei is one of my faves also! You have great taste!

But know prices on rare aroids have really gone up so they are becoming pricey everywhere. When I lived in the P.I. I was too young to appreciate the wondrous world of plants that grow there. I am very fortunate that there are endless varieties here that are on the market and sold in many nurseries and garden centers. I consider myself very fortunate and much like you have really gotten addicted to them while here. I am hoping that you have a fabulous time here. Enjoy yourself and make sure you stay safe. @@PictureMaria1 yes finally! Took a day off work and drove down with my five year old. 😂 It was a lot of me saying "please don't touch the pretty leaves honey" 😂. She reallllllly liked the Regale too. I ended up getting the veitchii, Mamei, Verrocusum, black Velvet alocasia, and a crystallinum. ♥️ Good timing too because someone offered me a small used greenhouse right after. All my plants are so much happier outside! I haven't done trades before but I'd be interested once I start getting my propogation game on. I just started doing it a lot more lately. It's fun experimenting!
WOW! You also got some awesome stuff!!! ...and yes right on time for the greenhouse!!! Now that is definately on my wishlist! Some of my plants are struggling because of all the rain. I always have plant anxieties during our rainy and winter season. Enjoy your greenhouse and growing your plants outdoors...it does make a massive difference! My plants are growing like weeds...and I LOVE IT!!!
@@PictureMaria1 I worried about the same thing... Too much rain. We are getting inundated up here. The greenhouse is mostly waterproof... It's one of those styles that's got the heavy metal pole frame and a thick plastic cover that goes over the frame. Lottttts of holes I've had to patch though 😂 I need to game plan how I'm going to handle out cold nights next winter. Cause it gets cooold in Gainesville at night. What would you say is the most cold sensitive that you need to bring in? The Anthurium?
@@hollybeck605 Some people say that they shouldn't go lower than about 40 - 50 degrees. And majority that say that just as long as you have it covered they can survive our winters. But I think it also depends on the plant size and maturity. Your smaller plants may experience a bit more trauma from the cold. I brought majority of mine indoors when it got down to 30 degrees. I was too scared to leave them outdoors. I would especially bring in your rarer more expensive varieties...the ones that you would absolutely have a fit if anything happened too. LOL!

If you going to philippines kabayan visit mga garden dun. Kc super ganda...I feel bad the plant is damaged and need extra attention and care. I order 4 x and sent me a damaged and some is ok. But the price is reasonable.

It was my prewritten wishlist. I was checking off the plants they had and evaluating the ones that I could get within my budget. I was basically going through the process of elimination. Didn’t you see the serious look on my face...this is serious business here!! LOL!
I went there yesterday. Most often you will find with many nurseries that a majority of their plants are not posted on their website. I haven’t been to one nursery yet that has been able to post all of their plants online. That’s why if I am able to go I always make a personal visit to the nursery. It has always been well worth the trip even if I have to drive for hours to get there.
No I didn’t. It was my shopping trip and as I stated in the video I wasn’t shopping for orchids this time around. I am trying to balance out my garden with a variety of plants and my collection is actually dominated by orchids. But I wanted to make sure I included them because I did want to let everyone know that they do have a lot of orchids as well. Sorry the orchid videos that I will be posting will be the ones that I have in my garden collection. I will be doing an orchid and bloom tour real soon.

No...but majority of the prices for aroids range from $40 - 50 and the rarer varieties will start at about $80 and go up depending on size and rarity.
