You can always spot Filipino live sellers to any plant expo in Thailand especially when it comes to Cacti. After plant expo , Filipino sellers tend to visit nursery/farm to continue the live selling or they even visit the Chatuchak Plant/Flower Market. As a newbie collector of plants, we love these Filipino online sellers because they are able to bring plants from Thailand back to Philippines. We are able to acquire plants from Thailand without leaving the Philiipines or even leaving our houses.

For a beginner collector, This is so impressive. The varities, colors, verigations as well as the prices; it's a huge sea of green leaves. I wish I could attend. Thank you for sharing.
Its a good time to be a beginner collector. Some of the “rare” plants of the last 5-6 years have become very cheap! We paid 5-10x more to collect those during the covid era. So much diversity to enjoy.
thank you for this video!!! I love it. Are plants from all over the world in the exhibition hall free to be brought in? Do I need to apply for importation separately?
Im a little confused by the question… the plants brought into the exhibition are either locally grown or has been imported into Thailand. People can buy them freely. However to ship them out of Thailand and into your home country, you will have to process your imports based on your country regulation.
For those who buy the plants before others see them, do you think it’s because people are collectors or do you think some people want to buy the most exclusive plants so they can clone them?
I think its both. I’ve heard there are collectors who hoard these rare plants just to be the only ones in the world who have the few. A lot of millionaires have this kind of mindset. But for the most part people want to have return on their investment, so they bring it home and quietly propagate it. For example: 1 x $10,000 plant can be turned into 4 $5,000 plants in about 6 months. He can sell 3 of them and still have 1 parent plant to keep producing off of.
Hey Seun, I know you don't do a lot of prop vids nowadays but could you possibly do one for piper plants or maybe plan to go to a nursery that specializes in pipers in the near future? Thanks for all you do ❤❤❤.
It's a plant exhibition plus sale and I feel bad that many customers/visitors don't get to see some amazing plants because somebody has already bought it as soon as it was unboxed. Here in my state, we also have these types of plant exhibitions, some even go for as long as 10 days. Everyone participating in such exhibition knows that the plants have to be exhibited for full 10 days. Customers/visitors can book and pay for the plants that they want. The plants are tagged as sold/booked, however, the plant stays exhibited for 10 days. Only on the last day the plant is taken off the shelf and handed over to the buyer. All the plants are in full display till the last day of the exhibition. This avoids over crowding on the first day, plus you don't miss any plants even if you visit on the last day.
