    Watching from next door....Rwanda. Inspirational and Yes I agree its incredible. Wow the biggest challenge "we try so hard to put each other down".     Ham is our youngster in Uganda, from trading in clothes from China to an entrepreneur.
    After construction of that mall by the Stadium, he gave his fellow traders 6mths free rent, he brought all his colleagues to his mall, he left the next malls almost empty, he knew the challenge of his fellow traders and good player of the game.
    I really admire his mindset, my daughter is in his school and it's a great school.

    I am Eritrean living in Uganda currently. I found this video randomly and I can't tell enough how proud and motivated I am. Seeing such intelligent and strong willed person. I agreed wz all he said. Its obvious there are many like minded Africans his idea of" it all starts and ends in the mind" was always in my mind but I couldn't make fruit of it. I believe Africa will overcome the soft battles in the future with such intelligent fellow Africans.
    Am happy for Mr hams achievements and my best of best whishes for his energy to multiply abundantly.

    I’m a Malian living in U.S. for years.
    This is the best video I have ever watched on your channel Wode Maya. This guy is very interesting, he is saying what I have been saying for years to my fellow Africans. Our biggest problem is the way we reason(mentality).
    When, we Africans understand that resentment towards the West is not a project for African development, then we can do something better for Africa.

      There are parts of the story not told which the Ugandans know about. You are importing and selling textiles in an economy which you admit is small. The suddenly you have money to put up a US $30M home. Wode Maya is doing a good job to give people hope. He should keep up anyway. It is up to the people to discern the facts.

    I have lived in Uganda for 8 years ...my biggest take was Ugandans are confident visionaries .... as a student at Makerere I witness my fellow students works tirelessly towards business endevours in big numbers something of which wasnt the case at my home country Tanzania ...I was imparted by the characteristic but in Tanzania the environment has offered me a different vibe

      @@Burner_Acc short answer is Uganda has no sea coast line. 😅- the sea ports play a big role in economy development. Talk about the money uganda pays Kenya and Tanzania to allow its goods go through the ports - all that money would remain within the country. Hope that makes sense now

    I have never commented on your videos before but I always watch you and your wife. This video is very powerful every African needs to see this especially the youths. I watch this video 2 times while taking note. Africans indeed are wicked to there fellow Africans jealousy, envy, betrayal. Our mentality really needs to change and that starts with the Africans in diaspora to help with that. This video really need to be watch by Africans especially the ones that forget their roots.

    Ham is amazing and he has a growth mindset, which is key for productivity. As Bob Marley always say, we have to free ourselves from mental slavery, and no one can do it for us. We all have the innate ability to do it, but as Ham said most of us are blinded by hate and anger. There is a helpful book that is changing minds and behaviors called Anger the Silent Whisper! Ham stay mentally strong, and Maya keep spreading positivity of where we all started.
