Baltimore is known more for its museums and history than football. Who wrote this script, Paul Tagliabue? When the Colts left in the middle of the night, tagliabue wouldn't even consider us for expansion. Canada had more faith in us than he. The Stallions were loved by the city and we won a Grey Cup. All the while Tagliabue and the rest of the NFL tried to shove the Washington Foreskins down our throat.

The Penguins are huge too, especially since the late 80s with Mario Lemieux and then Sidney Crosby. The Pirates are for sure at the back of the pack. in chicago, the blackhawks and the bulls share the united center, which is about in the center of the city limits. the bears are likely moving out of chicago but if they dont, soldier filed is a couple of miles east of the united center. then the mlb teams are literally on opposite ends of the city. none of this really matters all that much though because you can get from any one of them to the other easily on the train. but ive never known anyone that regularly goes to any games, forget about multiple sports. if i had to guess, id expect cubs/bulls/blackhawks to be the most common overlap, just because those seasons are way longer so tickets are cheaper. also more cubs fans are able to afford tickets regularly

Boston is a baseball town and then the Bruins, Celtics and Patriots are second. During Tom Brady’s time, it probably surpassed baseball when the Red Sox didn’t win the World Series, but Boston is known as Title Town due to its 37 sports championships. The Bruins are one of the original six hockey teams of the NHL so they are near and dear to Bostonians and New England as well. The Red Sox and Patriots have been struggling the last three years, so the Celtics and Bruins are the hottest ticket in town (the Celts are #1 in the league and the Bruins go between #1 and 2 in the NHL.). But few athletes have the fever following as Brady, even in retirement.

Green Bay is a very unique city. Basically the entire city lives and dies by the Packers. The organization is making the stadium and entire surrounding area a place where you can spend an entire weekend, and not get bored. They have a pro shop that is open year round, and a museum inside the stadium that is open year round. In the parking lot, there is a building that is only for tailgating and partying. Across the street is the practice facility where 5,000 or more fans will show up during the summer just to watch the players practice. The Packers then have a scrimmage where 70,000 people will show up just to watch a scrimmage. On the other side of the stadium there is a high end medical building where the players go for injuries, and other players from around the country come to to have surgery or rehab. You also have a super high end hotel right next to the stadium, a playground, a full size NFL football field for people to play on, a bar/restaurant, and a sledding hill that has an ice skating pond below it. They even plan on building more than that. When you come out of the pro shop, there is this really long fence that is painted in a Packer theme. Several of those houses on the other side of that fence, people don't even live there year round. They are just there for people to tailgate, and are insured for well over $1 million.

Yea the Cavs and Indians/Guardians may get some support if they’re winning but don’t get it twisted this is a Browns town. The city even sued Art Modell when he took our Browns away to ensure that everything Browns related like the franchise history and records remained with the city of Cleveland. Football is definitely king here so much so in fact I wouldn’t doubt that Ohio State football is second on the pecking order ahead of the other pro teams for a lot of folks here. The pro football hall of fame is down the road in Canton like cmon man.

Some cities with 4 teams (more if you include NY, LA), have their favorites but it can change depending on the teams success.
Boston is known as baseball city but all 4 of their sports teams were winning championships at the same time! So New England was almost equally excited about all of them. LA and NY are a baseball city (Dodgers, Yankees and then Mets.) In NY, depending on what sport or team is good, basketball and football are 2nd. LA, if good, basketball (Lakers), is tied with 1st. In Philly, it definitely football but if the Phillies are contenders (which is rare) then they are tied with a good Eagles team. Atlanta, it’s the Georgia Bulldogs (college football), then the Braves.

19:09 Pittsburgh has the Pirates MLB team as well. All of their teams have won at least 5 titles (6 tied most of any team for Steelers). A city of 300,000 people with 16 titles over 3 teams is the most outside of the major markets of NY, LA, Chicago, Boston. The Penguins are aging fast, Steelers are average and Pirates have been rebuilding for years BUT they still have the best ballpark in the league with THE best view. All That said- 5 is actually probably still pretty low on this list. They’re top 3 over Dallas and Philly imo. Green Bay 1 makes sense and Bills makes sense to me, too

The Bengals owner, Mike Brown, is the son of Paul Brown, who was the head coach for the Browns, and possibly GM. Paul Brown is considered by many to be the godfather of the nfl, even Bill Belicheck makes that claim. You should watch the history of Paul Brown and how he got fired in Cleveland, moved to Cincy and created another pro football team.

The emptiness is like others have said because it was COVID or they just took the picture before/after the game when it was mostly empty.
I will say this about the jags tho, the rest of the AFC South calls them the Tarp kitties for a reason. The upper deck is almost always covered in tarps to protect the seats because they won't be needed.

Maybe you already know this, but LA hasn't had a football team since 1994 when the Rams and Raiders left, so a generation of southern Californians (minus San Diego) was left without a NFL team. That said, many were fans of other teams during the 80s and 90s, mostly notably 49ers and Cowboys. Growing up, it was common to see fans of virtually every NFL team throughout SoCal, and still is.

15:58 UGA is based out of Athens, GA, which is about an hour away from the city. Almost everyone supports UGA or GT here until you get closer to the Alabama border where more Auburn and Alabama fan are.

Birmingham is always the top city watching college football that isn’t a city that involves the two teams playing. Oregon-Washington both games Bham was 3rd behind Seattle and Oregon area. Love Athens though, I’m trying to go to a game this year even tho I’m an Auburn fan, I just love SEC football.

You mentioned that the Bengals owner was named Brown . The Cleveland Browns were named that because their owner was Paul Brown . Paul Brown eventually sold the Browns and started the Bengals . I'm not sure if Paul Brown is still alive , if he is ,he is very old ,but the team is still owned by the Brown family .

In US, most people support more than one sport, depending on the season. Also, most teams regardless of sports have fans way beyond the city. Such as Atlanta Braves. The Braves have a whole region, like the state of Georgia and surrounding states. America is a very mobile society. People move around for jobs, school etc. However, they take their sports allegiant with them.

The only reason the Cowboys have high TV viewership is because the NFL has us watch them lose 15 primetime games per year. We don't have any other games to watch or we would.

Not at all. You just sound like a hater lmfaoo. You watch because you want to see them lose. Stop lying just to make yourself feel better. Cowboys have a high tv viewership bc yall love to watch them win or lose. Yall love to talk about them win or lose. Stop acting like that isnt why they have high viewership. Not to mention Dallas Cowboys is also the most valued sports franchise in the world. Dallas fans are everywhere. Yall do have other things to watch, you just a hater who doesnt want to admit it.

The reasoning for the Houston ranking is silly. Yes, although Houston has only had the Texans since 2002, they used to have the Houston Oilers from 1960 to 1997 when they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

We also love our bars & pubs. If you ever make your way here you can't forget to visit the strip district (no it's not nudy bars lol) there's a mix of merch stores, bars, novelty shops, even a smoked meat place. In my opinion, It's must visit if your a sports fan.

The juxtaposition of sports in Green Bay amuses me. The UW-GB Phoenix (college basketball) / Blizzard (arena football) / Gamblers (junior hockey), three modestly successful teams, share an arena across the street from the most historic and successful NFL team.
