@@UnseenVoices true, and it's actually a bit dangerous to suddenly run coz drivers can't predict your speed. The most important part, make eye contact with drivers. Make sure they know you're crossing. If their eyes are elsewhere, they can't see you.

My advice is that if you want to go to West Sumatra, it's better to take the bus, there will be lots of spectators by bus, even though it's a bit tiring traveling long distances to explore Sumatra

Indonesia has 1300 tribes and more than 700 ethnic languages. Say matur suwun or hatur nuhun to everybody it's not correct, you just say "terima kasih" for thank you in bahasa indonesia, Because Bahasa Indonesia is our national language.
Hey there! I'm aware Indonesia is a super diverse country which is one of the reasons I chose to visit. I also understand more often than not the way I address people is going to be incorrect but that's not why I'm doing it. My goal with trying to speak a few words in other languages than Bahasa Indonesia is to make them understand I'm putting more effort into studying the country compare to a normal foreigner and therefore make them feel more comfortable with me - and I feel I'm achieving that 🙏 Thanks for watching 🙌

Indonesian city and town is one of the safest place for jaywalking 😂i mean since jaywalking is part of the culture(kidding) , the driver is well adapt to the situation , so the chance of getting run over by vehicle while walking or crossing the road is lower than when you riding a motorcycle or driving a car . the driver will always gave you a way as long as you gave em the hand sign a.k.a the Jedi hand gesture (i'm dead serious about this just be polite at the driver don't just cross like careless idiot like in the west culture) Indonesian motorist ain't as egoist as the other country motorist most are dumb , but they are mostly nice .
pro tips of crossing the road in ID (other than at the allowed crossing zone)
1st look at the driver face or the incoming vehicle and smile ,
2nd gave em the jedi pose
3rd nod a bit at them
4th give thumb up while crossing or keep the jedi hand gesture .

Bro, if you want to go to Bandung, use the newest mode of transportation in Indonesia, namely the fast train or bullet train from Halim Perdanakusuma station to Padalarang Bandung.
Yeah, but the station is outside the city. If that's what you want then okay. But if you want to go to city center better take shuttle busses or regular train
