As far as I know you are not allowed to cross check in lacrosse?! I wouldn’t teach it this way. You can definitely put a hand on the guy’s hip while on the stick…that’s not cross checking that just defense. A cross check is making contact with the shaft between the hands…you can sort of get away with it…but don’t teach it like that.
