Please, never stop making these. As a jv/varsity borderline defensemen there is nothing I love more then studying the game and looking for ways to improve!
That's retarded advice to give. Football defense is all about schemes and X' s and O's, where to lineup, what gap etc. Defense in lacrosse only involves personal skill, chemistry with your fellow D men and goalie. Once you and your teammates have your own lingo on when to help out or step up than it becomes instinct.
American GanGster Lock not necessarily, defense requires a lot of lower body strength and foot and stick placement. Helps with physicality and just overall speed. Not really retarded advice by any means all top pro athletes were multi sport athletes,
Hell yeah,I remember during one of my games I knocked a kid clean on the ground and ref 1 said it was a foul then ref 2 said “nope, that’s just physics sir.clean and fair hit” I’ll remember that forever.
As a football, hockey and lacrosse player, I always said contact in lax sucks. If you take a clean to the chest than 8/10 you're going to lose your breathe for a good 8-12 seconds. If you take a blow to the shoulder than there's a 50% chance you dislocate it. The padding is so small in that sport.
American GanGster I’m a senior and been starting Varsity 4 years and played at least Rec since I was six, I’ve NEVER gotten injured playing lacrosse, FWI hockey chest pads are recommended by all and excepted by all for lacrosse, and I’m a hard hitting D-Man and I’ve never been injured. I’ve broken about 10 people homes before but that’s besides the point, that’s what makes it awesome. You get pure body in body contact to knock the life out of poorly positioned attackmen
I think Cornell is a very strong team coming into this season. They’re not losing a lot of production on offense and obviously Teat is coming back this year. I think if UVA can put the pieces together that they can be one of the strongest and most exciting teams this year. I also think Yale and Duke are going to be very tough to beat this year, even though they lost some of their best players
@@LacrosseAnalytics Yeah I agree with your analysis. UVA had some really great freshmen come in like 2 years ago and now that they're upperclassmen and have had all the development time I expect them to be a super strong team. Yale should be disgusting with TD Ierlan, I don't know about Duke, though, because I think they lost a ton of starters.
Duke did lose Guterding obviously and a few other players but they kept 2 All-American defenders (Cade Van Rhaaphorst and JT Giles-Harris) and all of their impact midfielders which is why I think they’ll be good again this year. However, it’ll be interesting to see who has the keys to the offense now that Guterding is gone
@@LacrosseAnalytics Wow I was sure that both those defenders would have graduated by now. I feel like I've been seeing #2 and #77 on the field a ton over the last coupe of years, they must've started as freshmen or sophomores.
Cuse player dives to try ands draw a penalty but retains possession through the end of the game, ultimately losing the game. That’s why I love lacrosse and hate basketball
In a way, yes. The definition of a slash in lacrosse is very different than a slash in hockey though. In lacrosse, a slash is basically any stick check to the helmet, or an overly aggressive check to a body part outside of the hands or forearms.
i wish wlax was as physical as this “we don’t want g i r l s to get hurt!” ma’am ima need you to shut that bullshit up. give us an actual helmet and padding and we are good to go. how annoying

This is only the beginning, much more to come man!
Play football it helps defense come so much easier to play and understand, from experience

I’m with you man I played as a youngin in like 1st grade then gave it up for baseball until this year sophomore year and I’m picking it up pretty fast

About time D gets some credit 😊

A lot of people just see big hits and think it’s a foul. This is a good video to prove them wrong.
Exactly, it’s not all dirty crosschecks and hits to the head
It's all perfectly legal until you find something wrong
Hell yeah,I remember during one of my games I knocked a kid clean on the ground and ref 1 said it was a foul then ref 2 said “nope, that’s just physics sir.clean and fair hit” I’ll remember that forever.
I love that you continue to actually make videos instead of fade away to never return
Thank you! I love making them so don’t expect a shortage anytime soon
@@LacrosseAnalytics The irony 🥺
Thx I’m glad your letting us defenders shine
Perfect video for my Saturday morning cup of joe! Thanks for all the videos that you do, my players love them.
Great to hear!
I love this. All but one of these hits was deemed clean/no flags. Usually, defensive highlights are just penalty reels.
These are so satisfying to watch...
Exactly what I need to prepare for my indoor game in a couple of hours
Love to hear it
those were some good hits
You can hit in lacrosse? Maybe I should watch some more...

American GanGster Lock there is most definitely not 50% chance of dislocating it

I wish pro lacrosse was more popular it’s such a fun sport
Yeah same
Maryland was in so many of these. Go Terps!

I would like to see nfl and rugby superstars on this
Christian Estrada they would smoke them, idiot..
Please make a 2019 one
Thought I would see a lot more Sexton in this video.
Pipe Villa these highlights are only for the playoffs, not the regular season. ND only made it one game in
Lacrosse Analytics sorry didn’t realize it’s from the playoffs only 🤦♂️ great video then lol
All good haha, don’t worry about it
#3 for Cornell is a monster
2019 version please
100% will be a 2019 version, I’m currently compiling all the film for it. Not sure when it’ll be out but you can expect it within the next month or so
Can I get any predictions for this season? Who do you think is looking the strongest so far?
Personally I'm really excited for Cornell and will be as long as they have Teat

Didn't see any big hits here so you can drop that off title if you want.
yeh I'll make sure to do that, thanks!
Why isn't this game the national sport of both Canada & the US? It's thousands of years old...
Yet this year it seems like every hit in college lax gets called

So, this is hockey but you're allowed to slash?
