    Hey guys! It's Jake with Lax Weekly and today I'm talking all about the most important parts of lacrosse - confidence. You must build confidence if you want to be an elite lacrosse player.
    For the longest time, I thought confidence was something you had or you didn't, but now my mindset has changed. I think anyone can learn confidence, just like anyone can learn basic lacrosse stick skills.
    Here are my 5 Tips:
    1) Practice + Document
    2) Journal
    3) Find a habit to calm you down
    4) Control the controllables
    5) Embrace the negative
    I hope these lacrosse tips help, and I look forward to hearing your feedback. Feel free to email me contactlaxweekly@gmail.com

    I wish I would’ve gotten this advice as a young player. I was a pretty good player but had terrible confidence issues. No coaches ever talked about the mental aspect and importance of confidence. With my sons just starting out now I’m going to make sure they know how to keep their mindset right.

    I just started playing I’m starting to understand more but I’m nervous about shooting. My brothers who are great at it say that it’s weird that I’m able to cradle with ease but struggle shooting. I play at a small armory and I feel very inexperienced bc most players have played for at least 3-4 years.

    • @alexi5273
      @alexi5273 3 роки тому +1

      I feel you too I started a month ago and I’m still very inexperienced and it is my FIRST ever sport I played. I am a freshmen and joined late season and I always judge myself for not catching the ball or throwing it properly because everyone else can do that so easily even though they have like 2-4 years of experience

    i dont have the confidence to shoot i am so good at ball controller and i am fast but i never shoot

    • @XavierWorthyfan
      @XavierWorthyfan Рік тому

      I think I have a fast shot and I hustle hard but I feel the same way. I’ve been playing for almost a year. I would like to say I can shoot on the run over a defenders shoulder but even though I practice a lot and have been working on specific stuff recently, i don’t even try to shoot in game usually. Some kids take as many shots in one game as I’ve taken in like 15 games.
