Quite often it is all about that gut feeling and the fish finder between your eyes 👀and in your heart ♥️ that gets you on the fish 😁. This feeling is something you can't really teach, and it takes the years of experience us anglers occrue that decides it for us.
However, these cold unsettled weather conditions we are experiencing will draw the fish to the banks in the early hours of the day, primarily to soak in that sun before they retreat back to the deeper waters. It doesn't usually last long, so hit those steep open edges before the fish move off that 'Cod drop' edge back into the deeper waters they reside in. Then think about fishing the deeper water column post sun up 🌞 to maximize your chances 👌.
