I've seen a few vids on navionics but none have included the weather and tide info or using the buoys, really good information there. Thanks, great vid!
Good video! On my map it often shows the depth number with another number under it and to the right. For example, it might say 22/5 Can you tell me what the second number means please? I’m assuming it’s the amount of tidal movement but I could be wrong :/
After watching your video, in order to use the relief shading, you got to have a plotter and you can only get it in 3D which it not available for South China Sea, Japan and the Philippines. For some reason Navionics short changing the people in this part of the world. As much as I would love to have this info to do fishing here it’s not possible. Thanks for the good presentation.
It's great,, very beautiful and very clear, I can see the reef and the depth, I also want to have the navionics app,, I hope you can help me, I don't have enough questions I hope how to download it
That looks great but mine doesn't show the peaks like yours does. The lakes I use shows that relief Shading is available on my chart. Are you using the sonar settings also. I haven't put my boat in the water since installing. I'm looking at Rodman Reservoir and Georgia's Lake and neither looks near as good as yours.
Hello dear captain. I appreciate your video because I need some advice from you before to applicate for navionics app. 1. What brand (iphone/androit) and model of cellular is the best if someone won't to aplicate for navionics as his for fishing ? 2. Must I download a particular navionics app for fishing ? 3. How much do an avionics app for fishing cost today august 2023..
Good question! I have the latest model iPad and iPhone (14). It works well on both. 2. There is only one navionics app that I know of. 3. Not sure of the cost. Check the App Store!
@ChunkyPuffinSeaFishing meanwhile, I did get in contact with navionics because the image of the bottom structure of relief shading is midday posible as the image is totally blurred image.. Waiting for them to attend it. I did pay 29.90 for it they told me that that is the cost to get the app Till what depth maximum did you use yours with good depth structure shade ?
I've not got a fish finder so was wondering if I'd be able to locate marks ive seen on the Navionics app by using GPS location function within navionics, if that's possible? Many thanks... jj
Great video thanks. My tablet is pretty good (Samsung) but my relief shading doesn't look quite as 'sharp' as yours - I can't see any of the wrecks in any detail - just dark smudges. Can you think why this might be?
That’s a great question. I’m using an iPad or my iPhone and I get great definition on both. There are some parts of the UK that do struggle with definition, but they are constantly being enhanced by Navionics. Try looking at the south coast.. if that’s blurry it might be your internet connection or your Samsung! 😬
Hi John, it’s a Soft Hull inflatable Boat.. exactly the same as a Rib except the hull is either flat or inflated. It means it can be rolled down into a car boot. Much more transportable.
Hi David, that’s a great question. I’m afraid I’m a garmin fan, so I can’t help with Axiom, but I will say it will be an option within the settings. It is on my garmin.
Hi Cameron, certain fish finders have a ‘navionics card’ which allows you to transfer the data across. But to be honest, I just use my phone and iPad on the boat for the navigation and my fish Finder is separate.
Hello, thank you very much for the information. I have a Varmint sandbox with a Navionex map, but the map has to the bottom lines. Can you help me, how can I reach it as it is on the video, even though I am from North Africa? Can you direct me to a company to buy it? Thank you
Will navionics relief shadow show details of wreck cave platue hills andnal kind of structure far out in offshore deep sea salt water in depth above 800 feet ?
This is a very good question. Honestly I am not sure if it will give that much detail for 800 feet. The greater the depth. The less detail you have. However 100m is still very clear
Hiya mate thanks for this 1, I can see how this will really help me out. How much is the paid version of the app. I've just bought a Honwave T38 airdeck with outboard so can't wait 2get out there when weather allows. Thanks again and im enjoying the channel...
Thanks John! Really glad to hear it! It was £23 annual subscription when I did mine 2 years ago, but not sure if it’s changed. It’s definitely worth it though.
Have you got relief shading? I would try resetting your app if you can. You may have to update your maps for the area. Plus a good Wi-Fi signal will help. A bad signal cal prevent it from showing..
its really good until something goes wrong,i use my iphone and ipad which for 2 years have been spot on until now as they wont update,i cannot get in touch with anyone at all about this problem, great vid though
Good question! I think Navionics works on most models of iPad.. as long as the operating system is up to date.. you can download it from the App Store.. I do take my iPad out occasionally if on the big boat, but when I’m on my sib I use my phone which has navionics on it too!
How much is the full navionics package now 2024 .me just bought ridgiflex 400 delux would love to spend my retirement offshore North East England. Tia for any advice.
Wow - high quality stuff! Very helpful and well explained, cheers! Love my SIB and the people who get the most out of it!
Sibs are great! The best way to fish! 😁
I've seen a few vids on navionics but none have included the weather and tide info or using the buoys, really good information there. Thanks, great vid!
Thank you!! I might do a few more advanced ones in time..
thanks for your thoughts! 😊

That’s sad to hear! I use mine on a tablet, not a plotter..
It's great,, very beautiful and very clear, I can see the reef and the depth, I also want to have the navionics app,, I hope you can help me, I don't have enough questions I hope how to download it
Great video and explanation 👏👏🥇 anyone know which one to pick up because so many options

I've not got a fish finder so was wondering if I'd be able to locate marks ive seen on the Navionics app by using GPS location function within navionics, if that's possible? Many thanks... jj
Yes absolutely! I often put co ordinates into navionics and save them as marks. You can even export marks too from navionics..

Hello.
What is best way to transfer gps coordinates from a laptop into a NAvionics card installed on a fish finder installed on boat?
Hello.
What app version do you have?
Is it premium plus?
How do I transfer marks from the app onto the fish finder?
Cameron
Hi Cameron, certain fish finders have a ‘navionics card’ which allows you to transfer the data across. But to be honest, I just use my phone and iPad on the boat for the navigation and my fish Finder is separate.
@@ChunkyPuffinSeaFishing thanks. That’s a great idea. I’ll do that too😎

I’m afraid I have no idea! You might need to message navionics and ask for their help.
