Everyone in this band looks like a different fred armison character and I love it
OMG! You’re so right!! 😂😂😂
So you suggesting that they are not all Fred Armison? hmmmmm.... have to rethink this.
@@model_number_band I think you’re overthinking it lol
Whenever i see them, i have the same reaction haha
i have some dark indierock platlists and tracks in mi chann3l , don't miss it , those are the best selections 🔥💎
babe wake up new parquet courts kexp session just dropped
Too bad the album sucks ass
There is no babe, is there?
@@skootdiggity1301 absolutely not
Phenomenal post
It's wild seeing Andrew Savage perform live. He just goes 10x harder than he ever does on the album versions of the songs. I saw them perform in March and his voice has just such immense power.
Totally agree with this-I saw them for the first time in April and was blown away by his energy! They were so great live.
SAVAGE IS MY NAME BECAUSE SAVAGE IS HOW I FEEL!!!
Damn, I was supposed to see him a few months ago but the show was cancelled. Luckily I've seen Parquet Courts before but this Savage show would have been in a tiny venue.
I just actually discovered this ….. and I love his voice live much much better
The proof is here
props to kexp's sound engineers for making every single performance sound phenomenal
Paul Dano killing it on keys
that drummer goes alright too
We all know the instrument keeping all this from falling apart is that bass.
They deserve all the love and sportscars in the world
And all the new tires Sean can fit on his car!
Can't wait for this to be back in my recommendations like 3 years from now randomly.
I don't know why but I just love the vocalist's voice, it gives me nostalgia and it fits perfectly with the instrumental
Maybe because they remind you of the band Pavement?
@@walshwalsh6828 Maybe Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers also ?
the clash vibes
Not sure why everyone’s saying it’s coz they’re like another vocalist. They’re just nice and he has a great voice
Thank you KEXP for introducing us to so many great bands
Awesome pfp
@@malcolmforsythe4329 same to you
@@Boston84 Thanks it's from this really tight band called King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard... Jk 😂
@@malcolmforsythe4329 oh wow never heard of them 😂
I like how they have this old school garage rock and roll kind of sound buried deep in their style 🐰🖤
Oh it's there alright
Listen to light up gold!
It's basically straight garage punk and shows how they've built to get here, fucking killer record too
honestly Homo Sapien sounds like a song they wrote in that era
@@jackknowles5295 came here to say this, but you beat me to it. those first few songs they reel off take me back to 90's punk shows... but better than any band I had the pleasure of seeing.
buried deep? it's like front and center imo lol
Old school garage rock is on the sleeve mate.
The man on da bass is rock f'n solid.
They look like they are still having a great time playing together. Love it.
Incredible show guys!!🔥🔥🔥
Love how the bassist enjoy his work.
Anyone else see this video come up, listen to it and then have to go back to old sessions too? If you dig this at all, would recommend checking out their performance of "One Man, No City"
Every art student's favorite band
Every single one? On planet Earth?
just everyones favourite band
Saw them in Oakland! They are on fire right now, please go see them if you can!
Me too. Seeing legit crowd surfing made me smile! PQ is 100% committed!
I saw them in Paris a few weeks ago! Absolutey insane show
Great musical evolution watching this band from the beginning to see where they are now ,they have come really far in their songwriting 👍🏻👍🏻😎🎸💪🏻🖖🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love Parquet Courts❣️Love the singer’s voice and their great lyrics!
Kexp just hitting it with their lineup recently
His mouth is sooo large. Makes a great large sound. What amazing stuff
it's like everytime a kexp live performance is recommended to me, which is far and few between, I instantly get hooked onto the music. cheers guys
Love the mix of energy and instrumental harmony they bring, layered perfectly with the vocals and lyrics. I feel I can always pick up something new listening to their tunes.
Delicious show
Incredible live show
Now that's how you do a KEXP performance!!! Great set!
dust is literally everywhere
Sweep!!!!!!
New Parquet Court live on kexp, I can wake up from hibernation!
I’m picking up some on some talking heads and I love it!
I fucking love Parquet Courts!
This is disarmingly charming.
Thank you ! these guys are one of the best bands in the last ten years. In the top ten
What a great band --- KEXP do it again. Brilliant
Real fun, thanks fellas!
the banter! so good
New Parquet KEXP? Hellz yeah
Such an incredible band 😍
He sounds like King Krule's angry uncle
Parquet Court muy bueno
31st of May Paradiso Amsterdam. Can't wait! KEXP thanks for all the great recordings!
I was there too, great show! I have been listening to them since Wide Awake came out, but I booked tickets to the show after seeing this video
So eagerly awaiting this upload!! Super freaking sweet 💕
So bad ass!!! Thanks, as always, KEXP!!!
Love it!
Plant Life FTW! 🤘🤘
I like the way the drummer and guitarist go in and out time.
This is amazing
Wow that third song is a fuckin' JAMMM!!! KEEP IT COMIN' BABYY. But damn, what a performance, the other three were sick too.
Sounds like a complete band. Like the full sum of its parts.
Love it all. I just found them at a Mdou Moctar show
Wow totally amazed seeing latinoamerican subs, thanks a lot for this!!! Are there going to be more videos with that?
U guy so awesome
WOO!
Great mix , engineers 👏👏
The live version Plant Life has a real Talking Heads thing going
Their San Diego show at the end of April was awesome!
i caught them in Pomona on April 29th it was sweet! I got a set list from Sean
Going to see them in Glasgow tomorrow. Should be good.
Its been a while. But im glad to he back
YEAH!!!!
Oh you just gotta fucking LOVE to see em break out a melodica, man. It reawakens the 13 year old inside me that just discovered Gorillaz lol.
Oh and also great jam by the way ✌🏻
his voice is fucking insane
Wash it down with a Green River... excellent
They are just an experience
PC, keep on exciting us :)
TREMENDOS
❤️
I wanna steal Austin’s sweater too
gracias por los subtítulos en español:)
Austin looks like the weird neighbour or librarian from a goosebumps episode
I finally saw him in person, and the awkwardness is real
This next's one called freebird iii
Need those sweaters
Really great performance, this version of Homo Sapien rips.
F O R G E T A B O U T I T
Socrates?
@@skeezeball89 He died in the fuckin gutter!!!!!! 😂
14:25 favorite part. Love the percussion. Mega LCD Soundsystem vibes.
Also getting a big Gang of Four vibe from that song.
None of them could have been in any other band.
Check out Teenage Cool Kids, A. Savage's band before Parquet Courts.
Also Fergus and Geronimo. A Savages other other band
HardCore ParCour!
I need Austin’s jumper. Can anybody tell me where to find one/it?
Why do the vocals sound like they are hella far from the mics when, for the most part, they ain't? Otherwise the mix is great!
Mix is definitely weird for vocals. First song sounded like he was on the other side of a tunnel lol
I feel like the amount of energy he has to put into the vocals would generally come out loud af but withouth that energy its a completely diff song. Idk im for sure clueless in regards to that side of things. It sounds pretty spot on to their studio recordings but for sure an odd mix sounds killer to my ear holes. Really regretting missing their recent asheville show
I hope Obama is watching
Plant Life into Homo Sapien...DAMN fellas!
come to brasil porra
This is like the punk version of Phish....such versatility. Great band.
Was in a bummed mood...not no more!
I had no idea Fred armison and Paul Dano started a band
Anyone know what keyboard Andrew is playing in 'Watching Strangers Smile'? Thanks!
Key boar 👽
28:59 Was it a reference to their song? 🤔
First track is heavily like secret Island by swell maps !!!!
Какой ужас! Сначала так подумал. Но, блин, зацепило чем-то! Как-то присмотрелся, прислушался, - да они же гении!
Always loved these since a friend showed me them. He sounds like the bloke from Tears For Fears.
What synth is Austin using?
I think i like them live better than their studio recordings....
Holy Plant Life, Batman!
Homo Sapien FUCKING SLAPPPPS
I like that andrew gets a song to just play melodica and not sing
rest in piece Bossa nova civic club
Close your eyes, you can hear The Stranglers renewed....
The Maroon 5 cover band Maroon 6 should do Freebird 3
they got dear evan hansen on the drums
😮- buy the sound man a drink 🥃
Brau
Stop being so fantastic, you're making the rest of us look bad :)
Austin Brown and Paul Dano have to be brothers.
