Playing with a live band for the first time? The performance was amazing, like it was their millionth time with a live band. Also, the best thing about Funk is it puts you in a good mood even if you're having a bad day.
think he meant public performance. these are highly rehearsed, complex arrangements. Also, apart from the performance with Daryl Hall, there's another video (of jealous) floating around with a full band, this one with gospel singers, maybe KRCW radio station or something like that, like these guys here seem taken right out of church, but that one with a different ending with the bass solo instead of this also cool key change stuff.

During "Must of been" the drummers were sooooo incredibly in sync together. Absolutely talented dudes! Omg that was so visually pleasing and pleasing to the ears.
I agree. I saw them a few years ago. It was just the two of them and they were jumping from keys to bass, to cowbells with synths and drum loops filling in all the gaps. It was a bit disappointing. THIS set up is exactly what I was hoping to see.
Is it a joke ? On the contrary, I think he was in holiday when Chromeo came at TD 🤔 usually the engineer is a magician but here it sounds like something he recorded with an old phone 😟
I LOVE CHROMEO. Discovered them in the late 2000s with Fancy Footwork. I finally saw them live a few months ago and they were so good. So worth seeing, they play to the crowd and are genuinely entertaining.
This frontman sucks. I'm a singer/bassist I'm a connisuer of the funk. A Trufunk soulja if you will. He's really bad. No soul at all. He sounds like someone who's never sang? No vibrato, no tone, no dirt or grit. Just my opinion. But please no prince comparisons. Maybe a tiny bit in the keys. But thats it. #CRINGE
Chromeo is amazing and so underrated. They put on a phenomenal show and their music never disappoints. Even my 1 year old dances when we put them on. LOVE!!!
Been listening to these guys since probably 2012ish. Glad they’re finally get some real recognition this past year or 2. P-Thugg is such an underrated keyboardist.

NPR Tiny Desk brings the best of everything, I listen to tiny desk concerts at least 6 hours a day at work. I've discovered so many amazing musicians through NPR. Forever grateful. Please keep them coming
They take heavy inspiration from the guys that came before daft punk and Jamiroquai. Breakbot feels like a brother of Chromeo, specially in his album Still Waters, which basically sounds JUST like Business Casual by Chromeo. I love them all!
Been a fan for a long time. It's so amazing to finally see them with a band. I think they'd be 100 times better live with a backing band. Make it happen Dave and P.
These mother's funkier than a dirty pamper... These man's dirtier than an open hamper, y'all!!! Watched me this bout 400 times already it still ain't getting old.
The band knocked it out of the park, and you could tell they were all having a blast playing together. Also, that version of "Must've been" was *chef's kiss* Long live the Funklordz!
The NPR Tiny desk concert Transcends music Genre. The production quality is raw, yet refined on the tracks. I never know who to give the most credit: The band for the performance, the audio engineers for the amazing quality time and time again, or Bob for recognizing and recruiting talent to the desk. Vulfpeck is great too!

Been waiting almost 10 years to see them play with a live band, ever since they jammed at Daryl Hall's house! I really hope they tour with this band!!

Do yourself a solid and see these guys live... Been a huge fan since bonoroo 2014..pure unadulterated funk
Derrick Moore honestly. I heard Needy Girl years ago and have just loved every release since
They had a great live show with just the two of them, but I always wanted to see them play with a full live band! It's like they read my mind

The audio mix is ridiculously good. Whoever your sound guy is, he deserves an award.
How can you tell they're male just by hearing their engineering?
Good point. But I knew it was a guy cause I’ve seen his name before in the credits. Assuming it’s the same person. Josh Rogosin

I love Chromeo so much 😭 I clicked so fast
About time! Too many people are sleeping on Chromeo. They're great to see live also.
the talk box is awesome i love it
I cannot get over this was the first time with a live band. Goodness. The band is genuinely fantastic. Philly puts out so many amazing artists
Props to Philly! Cradle of Liberty - and lots of great music.
