We love how we can take the Arctic Fox just about anywhere...and stay there with our solar/lithium battery set up. 😊

Solar panels really do give you freedom camp in a lot of different areas. Thanks for all the great information.

We are so glad we not only invested in solar, but lithium batteries to store and use the power.

Lots of great info! Will save this one for future reference. I would love to have the time to do the research like you did - so many nice boondocking spots 👍

It was nice to be able to scout out the sites in advance. We don’t always have that luxury.

I never realized there is a lot of boondocking sites around Las Vegas. It is hard to believe that such beauty is just outside of the city.

For years we'd fly to Vegas and stay on the strip, not even renting a car. It was wonderful to be able to stay there longer and drive around to all the beautiful natural sites surrounding the city.

We love Vegas too! We usually fly for short visits so it was nice to go with the RV and stay a bit longer.

Thank you for making the video. I have wanted to visit this area. Very informative and helpful! Looks like many places to visit in this area with lots of things to see!! I have a four wheel drive Tacoma with a short 8 foot Wells cargo trailer, so it appears my options are plentiful.

Just added these locations to my bucket list. THANK YOU!
I thought it was really nice that the ranger recommended places to boondock at. I'm guessing though he didn't warn you about the bumpy road. LOL!
Love Red Rock Canyon. Had to pleasure of going there for an afternoon. Still to this day, some of the best photo's I've ever taken was there. We also got to visit Hoover Dam and enjoy looking at this feat of human engineering in all it's majesty. Such a beautiful area. Beautiful site that you found. Really love the mountain views. Pretty cool that you can stay for 7 days without a permit. I'd definitely prefer the areas without to many people. (generators) LOL! I think I'd want to try out the Nelson Hills area first. The Gold Mine looks so cool. Great place to do some photography. The antique RV's are just to fun! LOL! Great video guys. Thanks for some great locations to visit.
    Peace & Love!
    Have a Glamtastic Day!

I wish we could have stayed up in the mountains for weeks, but there was no cell phone signal and we're still working. We'll have to go back when we retire (or take vacation).

They were great spots, but no parks. Just BLM and National Forest Service Land. No amenities.

Just check the temps before you go. Early in the fall is still super warm for no hook ups in Vegas. Unless you're like Sean... he loves the heat!

how often do you see dangerous snakes? im going there this summer with my kids, and it worries me so much, we are from a very cold place that doesnt have snakes of any kind. is it something your gonna see multiple times a day? once a day? maybe not even that much? im only worried about the spicy danger noodles. lol

    • @ChickerysTravels

I didn't see any snakes in Nevada or Arizona when we were there. I know they have snakes, but I just stayed away from rock piles and such.
