Silk Degrees is a classic album, and this song is a very good example of why it’s a classic. Thanks for a fun ride down memory lane, John. Great request, and a superlative reaction, Harri!
Boz has done every genre of music just about. I've seen him do rock, blues, R&B, jazz, yacht music and more. It's always good. He just turned 80 years old on June 8 and he's still touring. He's also a great guitar player.
Boz toured with Donald Fagen and Michael McDonald on a show called the Dukes Of September, and of the three, Scaggs has virtually the same voice that he had 40-plus years ago. And he can play that guitar very well.
At 2 months short of 70, I still think that Boz Scaggs is the best. And "Silk Degrees" if not the best album ever. It is at least my favorite album ever.
Now that I have gone back and listened again to many of his songs, I have come to the conclusion that Boz Scaggs is very under appreciated. Anyway, I certainly enjoyed this one. Thanks Harri and John. 🌺✌️
The link below leads to another UA-cam posting, a Boz Scaggs concert from 1974 at the newly restored Oakland Paramount Theater for the release of his "Slow Dancer" album (the one before "Silk Degrees"). 1st set was from past releases, and the 2nd set was the new album. KSAN (early FM) broadcast a lot of shows a lot of live shows. It was Boz & band and and orchestra. Really is a crime just how underappreciated his pre-Silk Degrees success ua-cam.com/video/CVgO1dD_mko/v-deo.htmlsi=gUh1xqPtzTWZaChY
For those who don’t recognize Dudek’s name, he played 2nd lead guitar on “Ramblin’ Man” behind Dicky Betts and acoustic guitar on “Jessica.” He’s played with everyone including Steve Miller, Stevie Nicks, and Cher.
Went to his concert in 1978. His Silk Degrees tour. Over 12 months went to his concert, Bob Marley, Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, The Doobie Brothers, ELO and The Eagles. I was in the Navy and was lucky enough to be stationed on shore at the time.
John, what a magnificent find and submission! This is the youngest Boz I have seen, and his fuel tank was full in the lead-up to this one. His career is still going strong.⠀ Harri, your review and commentary were great. Bravo, gents!
I was too young to remember how popular Silk Degrees was. I remember I first heard Boz Scaggs around 1980. I really started listening to him in the 90’s. He has made some solid albums like Some Change, and some blues rock albums like Come On Home and Memphis. They’re worth checking out!!

Boz is the best. I absolutely L❤️VE his music, his style and his stage presence.

I just saw Boz 2 years ago, and he still sounds great.

A particularly nice number from the Dukes of September tour is "Miss Sun," featuring Miss Monet.
@@cindybyrne1167 Harri has reacted to that one. So good!

Jeff on drums (Pre Toto). Basically Boz was just about Toto w/Boz as the frontman.
I just love Boz Scaggs, thank you for sharing this great song John and great reaction Harri.
Please listen to his”Lowdown”. Takes me right back to the ‘70’s.
In case you missed it, here's Harri's reaction to Boz's "Lowdown" from two years ago.

Awesome song. Thanks, Harri and John Chu. Haven't heard this in decades. Love his soulful voice and the backup singers' harmonies as well.
Great song!!!
Love Boz Scaggs!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Les Dudek (Long hair, guitar) enjoying the jam! Thanks Hari for the reaction - great song!

LOOK at that babyface!! 😍 I don't think I've ever seen him anything other than road-worn and grizzled.
Thank you for the reaction! Love it!
Love Boz❣Great request, great reaction❤🔥
For some good blues, listen to "Somebody Loan Me a Dime" with Boz and Duane Allman.
Oh yes. That's so amazing
💞💞💞 he made love with the vocals
One of my favorite sons from the fantastic Silk Degrees album!
Brilliant Harri ...
More please .

You've got to react to "Lido Shuffle" w/lyrics Silk Degrees
Georgia is the best song from Silk Degrees !
Love the scatting. 😀
One of the least celebrated of the great song artists! Been a fan as long as he has been performing!
Early Boz is pretty great too. Near You and Might Have To Cry from My Time a BOZ ANTHOLOGY...
I'll go for the studio version 😊
Great live performance but a much different vibe than the studio version. I like the studio version style a little better.
Hi would you react to a music video request for me?
