another cracking upload George ,stunning fish, not sure about the 4 am start though haha , visiting Berwick upon Tweed in a couple of weeks , gonna have a go from the pier there , hopefully I find a good luck charm on the way 😄
Thanks Neil! Fishing is just about the only thing that’ll get me up that time haha, and I pretty much always pay for it later on in the day! Good luck for your trip 👍
First time I've come across your UA-cam videos. It was great to see that you where returning the bass, always great to see that. I've been bass fishing for well over 30 years & have caught 1000's on lures. The best way to catch them is on the fly fantastic sport
Thanks for watching Mark! I definitely want to try catch them on the fly one day, I’m not so good with a fly rod for now though. I’ve had a few trout in my time on one but I think I’d struggle casting a big bass fly!
You don't really need to cast to far if you can get amongst them. An 8 or 9wt rod is all you need. Try a small popper fly moved quickly across the surface, the takes are explosive. Definitely the best way to catch bass. 👍🎣🏴
@@markrickard6728 Thanks for the advice! The Jury is still out for me on if topwater fishing works in general in water this dirty. Have tried a few times with poppers and patchinkos with no luck! Maybe next time im in Wales i'll have a try
Good morning buddy. Just managed to catch up watching your video. What an absolute belter and them bass were certainly on fire today as were you. All the hard work and effort and persistence paid off my friend. Looks like that little blue square thing whatever you found was your lucky charm today. Imagine if you had your crocs on as well 😵😁🤣!!!!!!! Just noticed as well you have 10,000 subscribers. That’s absolutely amazing and well deserved. Do you have an amazing fishing channel and your attitude and commitment is just spot-on. Well done young man 👍🏽😁🥰
Thanks mate! Yeah i've found myself a new lucky charm 100%. Thanks for the congratulations too, there's a 10k subscriber special out tomorrow to look forward to 👍
1000 casts between each fish lol Some nice bass caught there weĺl done you Weather was against you for sure atleast sun was out this time 👍👍👍😜🏴🦕🦄😁✌🤞
It looks like some days it is just "on" at this mark and others. Like you say, you just have to put the time in and keep turning up to get rewarded. I don't feel so bad for blanking the first time now! Just ordered myself a load of sand eel, crab and shrimp flies that you cast with a clear bombarda float, so looking forward to testing out that setup in a week or two. I reckon these bass are getting wise to the soft plastic sand eel and it will bring me a monster 😉
That sounds like a good plan mate. I reckon at that venue you'd have a decent chance with a powerful fly rod too, now that would be something special! Good luck and might see you down there one day
I think making the catch, holding the rod with one hand and fiddling around with the net, expanding it with your other hand is the only way to do it. 💪🏻Having the net ready at your feet in advance is bad mojo! At least, that's my experience.😆 Great catch!
Haha yeah you’re right about that mate! I never need the net when it’s out ready, and always need it when it isn’t! Have lost a few fish because of it over the years though but it makes things a bit more interesting in the moment!
The net you are using looks like the Rigged and Ready travel net, but with a longer handle or extender, is that correct. And if so where do you get an extender for it? Thanks.
@@adventurefishinguk Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Unfortunately cannot see a bigger option on the Rigged and Ready site, just the one travel net. Great channel btw, really enjoying your adventures
Lovely fish! What weight line/leader? And are you fishing this on the bottom or on the surface/how much do you let it sink? Going to try and replicate this! Cheers mate
We would all love to know in advance the day on which the fish might be interested in taking a lure. But then it wouldn't be fishing would it? Lovely job doing the fishing fella. Dave.

Thanks Alan, that's the reward for getting out and about first light!
Your honesty is refreshing about the dreaded blanks George....but as you say, the graft paid off! Great session, great commentary, well done! 👏
Thanks John, fishings sometimes like that and i'm not afraid to admit it! Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
Love your enthusiasm. Great videos. Thank you.

Thanks mate, couldn't agree more! Makes it all worthwhile
Happy to see you rewarded for all your hard work all the best and God bless
Thank you! Yeah it's great when it all starts coming together 👍
What a cracking day's catch you had. Well done mate.
Thanks mate, always great after a blank streak to finally get on to them 👍
Well done, that was some stunning Bass!!!!
Excellent video and good job you found the blue tile😁
😎🎣🐟
Thank you! No doubt in my mind the lucky tile was responsible 😂
Jaysus man, they were some beautiful bars of swimming silver, and definitely worth the previous blanks.
I'm a tad jelly at the minute.
Thanks mate, some really nice fish coming out at the moment!
Some belting bass on that session mate ! Keep up the good videos it’s nice to come along on the adventures with u
Thanks Matt, happy to have you along for the ride!

Excellent session, nice one.
Higher tide, windy conditions + the Tile worked well for you.

Unlucky George on the firs 4 sessions. Great results though definitely worth the patience for those fish! great video bro! ☺

Best video yet mate! What a session
Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed it!
Great fishing day! I've just started lure fishing to this year. Not much luck, but enjoying the basic set up. You have a new subscriber. ☺
Thanks for subscribing mate, really appreciate that! Can be tough to get started but once you get catching you'll be addicted to it!
Nice to see people catch and releasing what they don't want to take rather than just coshing everything.
I release pretty much every fish I catch mate!

Well done that made up for the blanks
Absolutely did mate and thanks for watching!
Great fish. Well done. 👍🐟👍🐟👍

WOW, man, congrats! 😀 What a day.... Would love to do some sea bass fishing, but they are really scarce up around the Swedish west coast.

Nice bass.
Thanks mate!
Great video and well done on the awesome fish, what weight is that savage gear sandeel please ?
Thank you! I think this one is the 22 gram version 👍
Cracking session 🌟👍🎣
Thanks mate!
How long can you fish the flood on the mark
depends on the tide, I've never caught anything past the flood. Sometimes the fishing window is as little as 40 mins
Lovely fish! What weight line/leader? And are you fishing this on the bottom or on the surface/how much do you let it sink? Going to try and replicate this! Cheers mate
22lb line and 14/16lb fluoro leader mate. Nothing complicated about the retrieve!

i think you'd do well with my custom pattern i.s.p. seeker the colour pattern works wonders when the normal 1s let me down

The conditions couldn’t be any better it was perfect. The wind was not a problem all of its just bringing them towards you
Very true! Wind was only a problem for the filming side of things 😂 seemed to help the fishing!
Great vid
Thanks mate!
Nice fish that
Thank you 👍
I know the feeling sometimes I go three or four sessions without a bass
Me too mate, can be brutal! Makes it all the more worthwhile when it happens though
Because I have been mostly fishing the Bristol Channel so all my best bass have been on baits, lures just seem to not work in the silty water.
You might be surprised mate, i recently though lure fishing in this muddy water was impossible. Just needs to be in the right place at the right time!
Interesting how the tactics are identical to how we fish striped bass in Quebec.
Yeah very interesting, i'd love to catch a striped bass one day
