All of these comments are so true… The most underrated band of the entire era. Unfortunate timing to be heaped together with the glam shit and then grunge. As many else have said I have completely worn this out in the cassette form and then a couple of CDs! Such a classic outfit that should be recognized on a much larger scale. "There is no reasonFor livin' in sin I don't believe when they say hey boy, you better give in You know I'll fight for what I know Till the day that I die 'Cause I'm better off dead Then buried along with my pride"
when talking of BADLANDS the word genius gets kicked around, some people don't know they are extra ordinary, and too few recognize it after they're gone, this was project that had it all vocals, perfect lead, bass and drums just listen, damn what talent
I thought it would last forever. I thought good music was gonna stay around forever, but I lost track listening to Frank Zappa's entire back catalog and then I tuned into MTV again after a year or so and it rapidly turned shit. I can't stand the 90s grunge most of it, but not all. Looking at it from a distance I got narrow minded because of all the garbage. Basically, grunge is a perversion of metal and alternative started really good and then became mainstream therefore no longer alternative. Pearl Jam maybe I should listen to again. Ray Gillen can't be matched. He was extraordinary! I'm influenced by him, Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Frank Dimino, that's my music that's my era 60s through 80s had the best music!
This cd still gets plenty of spin... Best damn rock cd of that time. Voodoo Highway and Dusk also rock heavy. Fuck man!..that guitar shred 4:07-5:31 just amazing.
Loving very RAY💕Badland for me is not the Bester Band...RAY, YES, was the BESTER🤷♀️🙏🎶Discorde Lee-Ray😪Lee keep it, simple, no need for all that🤷♀️What cinema to play his guitar! He ANNOYS me👺Others are largely at your level without all this Trafalgar😹RONDINELLI, Forcefield, Phenomena💥RAY was PHENOMENAL 👍🔥🎶
Some of Jake's best guitarwork!!! Amazing riffs and solos!!!

F'N JUST AMAZING ALBUM AND UNDERRATED!! love this band, pure f'n rock that still kicks ass today, after all these years!!
Miss these awesome bands... I live in the past (and I wasn't even born in the 80's)

Ray Gillen we miss you. If you had lived you would have done more great things
How has this album never been re-released? This was probably the best of the hard rock bands from that era.
Because singer knowingly gave aids to couple women. So label decided to shelve the albums forever.
@@quit293 ....I knew one of those women. She had a short response to getting HIV from having sex with Ray. She said, and I quote..."WORTH IT"!!!!!!
Another cassette I wore out back during the summer of '89. I was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wa......good times:)
Amazing song!We want Red Dragon Cartel worldwide tour to keep Ray's memory alive and to remember all the great Badlands songs!R.I.P.Ray Gillen.
Appropriate for 2020
true
the perfect band....!!
Saw them 4 times back in the day..
They were awesome!!!
I saw Badlands in concert in 1989. Great freaking show. They opened for Tesla. Jake and Ray stole the show.
Luck guy!!! I hope see this band in heaven! rs
"The Old ones hope and the lost ones scream...." I miss these guys. I wore this fuckin album OUT!
Amazing to hear
Kick ass!
