People used to give their hearts making video games back then. Max Payne, Command Conquer's, Half Lifes, Prince of Persias, just a bunch of popular examples and most of these were even made by companies which we call "money hungry" today. Players these days, youngers than us, have very different taste than us in gaming (Streaming based, mostly online and competitive probably) and this taste dont fit with OG gamers, like those who used to play settlers or idk, Doom or something. There are still amazing games which you would have fun playing even todays age of yours but pretty rare. This, combined with our growing age which brings us overthinking, life complications and experience, makes it harder to enjoy upcoming video games
I genuinely feel like Nintendo is the only publisher out there atm (you could also say FromSoftware) that actually puts time and lots if care into their products. For example if you play either any of the switch Zelda games (Breath Of The Wild/ Tears Of The Kingdom) or Elden Ring, you can see how much love is put into them and how the developers put the players first unlike companies such as Activision and EA

I get the feeling that a lot of games nowadays lack soul and passion from the devs and that translates into some people like myself noticing that and not having as much fun. Now, nearly every gaming company focuses on engagement numbers, micro transactions, battle passes, content locked behind dlc that should be in the base game, etc. Purely focused on the business part of the game, while disregarding on just making a game that is fun. Here's the crux of it, which i dont believe was really touched on. And, hear me out.. Online gaming has ruined gaming in general. The funnest times i had growing up were Halo LAN parties. 8-16 mates in a single house screaming at you every 5 seconds for team killing was absolutely the pinnocle of fun. There was no META tactics because everyone learnt how to play just against their mates and the AI in campaign. Fast forward to online gaming and everyone just needs to win at all costs. The only way to do that is to get good. To do that you have to become sweaty and the cycle continues. Abuse meta tactics repeatedly over and over again. Theres no trying different things cause playing differently is harder and the skill gap is so much higher online. So maybe then, if i can get that new card, or that new +1 item or get a new build I can stay competitive. Ugh it feeds itself.
There are fun games out there it's about expanding your horizons and not playing PIFA every year. I play a game like persona 3 reload and actually enjoyed it, the music, the narrative and that ending man, old me would never touch something like that.

Online gaming has killed the gaming industry. Developers only care about online modes as it makes them more money, and if you’re a casual player you just can’t pick your the controller and enjoy the games anymore unless you are exceptionally good at it.
ua-cam.com/video/LTvWMXlRHds/v-deo.htmlsi=pLWLY4SBCLTSeXf2 is a great response video. This topic really bugs me because it is essentially "back in my day" nonsense disguised as fact
true! but i have to say if a game is good like really good i personally have no problem to buy a battle pass or a skin. Like OG fornite or warzone year 1. Or even fifa when it was fun and good.
yall are just looking at the wrong games, these are mostly online games we still got games like gts 5, god of war, jedi survivors, black myth wukong, elden ring, rdr2, legend of zelda e.t.c theyre so many good games withlout any of these problems
No they don't you're just older and have changed. I really hate these types of videos because they're needless and the classic nostalgia bait stuff. Gaming has only gotten better because there is more games. I used to play Dead Island 1 as a kid a lot but never finished it because I remember never wanting to, Dead Island 2 is such a superior game its insane. Look back at fifa rants from 10 years ago and you'll see this is just a cycle of people growing and changing.
I think mobile gaming ruined it and everything else followed. Once you could put music into your phone without ever going to buy the album it all became about elasticity on entertainment industry
Might be just getting older and an increase in standard for quality games. I was in middle school when fallout 4 dropped and I thought it was an amazing game. Now I can’t even get past the intro scene before closing the game. Games like cyberpunk 2077 just ruined Bethesda games for me. Red dead was fun but got bored of the meh combat system. God of war had repetitive combat so I quit that too. Honestly since Witcher 3, I’ve only completed cyberpunk 2077.
The funny thing is the best devs have all swapped to single player games look at dark souls annd baldurs gate and elden ring and xenoblade chronicles and persona the quality's not gone anywhere
There are games that are still fun today, but it is the minority. Back then the vast majority of games were fun. And exactly that is why the saying "video games aren't fun anymore" exist. Developers don't learn from the best current games and the best games in the past. Sadly.
Would love for you to make Fun related content and be an example and for it to be stonks. I quit Fifa this year, and never buying it again (EA = clueless comp) hope you read and think about it.
For myself : 1- SBMM ( not fun to play sweats every game ) 2- Football games ( Pes died after they released Pes 13 , best game ever ,) FIFA ( attacking Ai died and defensive Ai got better every year ) 3- Technology believe it or not , they focus more on graphics then the actual game Here are my favourite games ever : Pes 08,11,12,13 COD : MWF2 , Black ops FIFA : 04, 15,17,18 FIFA Street 2 - 2012 Assassins creed Ezio collection Stronghold 1-2-3-4 Tekken 5- tag Mortal combat 1,2,3,4 NFS 1-2 Split Second Dynasty Warriors 6
Saying games aren’t fun anymore then showing just shooters like cod Fortnite and apex yea those games aren’t fun it’s the same thing over and over, broaden your scope and you’ll find fun things to play
the irony of you watching this when you constantly promote packs and just packs packs packs lmao dude every time I open your stream its packs on screen
No video games are still fun you are just playing the shit ones we have god of war, Elden ring, buldergate, college football, etc… don’t say video games are not fun anymore when you don’t even try to have fun playing them.
Not everybody plays those games, tho. As a football fan, I used to enjoy football games. This video literally explains why, and it's not only the football community
@@ViscaBarca14 Okay, so why is it called ‘Why Video Games Aren’t Fun Anymore’? If you only play football games and think all football games are shit, then you’re just a shit eater. Online gaming has killed the gaming industry. Developers only care about online modes as it makes them more money, and if you’re a casual player you just can’t pick your the controller and enjoy the games anymore unless you are exceptionally good at it.
11:15 🤣🤣🤣
Awkwarddd
ua-cam.com/video/LTvWMXlRHds/v-deo.htmlsi=pLWLY4SBCLTSeXf2 is a great response video. This topic really bugs me because it is essentially "back in my day" nonsense disguised as fact
Most ppl who say this are like young I mean below 18 and it’s because they have a.
Low attention span and can’t play anything that isn’t multiplayer
Me still here playing Skyrim 💀
play more story games and indie games thats where its at
this was so sad man
true! but i have to say if a game is good like really good i personally have no problem to buy a battle pass or a skin. Like OG fornite or warzone year 1. Or even fifa when it was fun and good.
Mobile games are to blame . But it does not excuse it
You should do more reaction vids on here
yall are just looking at the wrong games, these are mostly online games we still got games like gts 5, god of war, jedi survivors, black myth wukong, elden ring, rdr2, legend of zelda e.t.c theyre so many good games withlout any of these problems
Miniminter spotted 👀
Every game a copy and paste every year. Buy the game then buy certain battle pass.
It’s like paying the same game every year.
The streets will never forget my performance on hijack bo2 gun game
I think most people are caught up in playing the same game year after year. No one is trying new games now days
Gaming becoming mainstream caused it to become more competitive, mixed along with the increase of lazy productions.
We are just older now lol
pick you should react to the downfall of ultmate team y dagnal diagnol and , why fifa feels different now by vizeh aswell
It’s online games are dying story mode games singer players games get better and better and they are consistent
It’s simple SBMM
games like gta, the old cods and prime fn have messed up our expectations imo
pick should make a reaction channel
Miniminter in thumbnail???
There are games that are still fun today, but it is the minority.
Back then the vast majority of games were fun.
And exactly that is why the saying "video games aren't fun anymore" exist.
Developers don't learn from the best current games and the best games in the past. Sadly.
Game never use to freeze??? You ever play Nintendo 64?
UA-cam KILLED GAMING… just that simple
Would love for you to make Fun related content and be an example and for it to be stonks. I quit Fifa this year, and never buying it again (EA = clueless comp) hope you read and think about it.
And your right maybe we’re just getting old!!! But games now compared to back then are shit
GOALS 2036 will save us
Social Media killed it
They’re not fun anymore cuz we’re grown asf now and life can be a motherfu**er at times or perhaps that only my reality 👍🏽😅
Idk about making videos like this, I understand reacting to videos that pertain directly to you, but this is a bit wild.
This Video made by and for nostalgia merchants only . Gaming is way better the last decade than before.
I am done with eafc. Its not fun to play anymore. I now gonna play my games i played in a while. I always grind eafc but now its not fun anymore.
For myself :
1- SBMM ( not fun to play sweats every game )
2- Football games ( Pes died after they released Pes 13 , best game ever ,) FIFA ( attacking Ai died and defensive Ai got better every year )
3- Technology believe it or not , they focus more on graphics then the actual game
Here are my favourite games ever :
Pes 08,11,12,13
COD : MWF2 , Black ops
FIFA : 04, 15,17,18
FIFA Street 2 - 2012
Assassins creed Ezio collection
Stronghold 1-2-3-4
Tekken 5- tag
Mortal combat 1,2,3,4
NFS 1-2
Split Second
Dynasty Warriors 6
Want to know a football game that’s not shit? Real life. Go register for a local football team and try out, or go play a game with your friends. Try new games other than football games because you complain about shit but still eat the shit. So, don’t complain
@@ViscaBarca14 then its not gaming that itsnt fun anymore, its the games u play
Play wukong
man this video is good but this dude acts too much and it's annoying as hell... not the first video of that guy i almost quit in the middle of it
W vid as always
Boomer Issue
I agree unless it's GTA. All games are paid to win
Yooooooooo
PICK MY KING
Games have gotten worse
