No matter what year this song has been done by Phil Collins, it NEVER goes out of date or style imo - it was, and always will be, a ‘classic’ for the ‘older’ generation of people (like me, who’s almost 70 yrs old now)! THIS IS GREAT MUSIC!
65 and still kicking, what a living legend. I really don't get people who say that his voice is gone and he doesn't sound good any longer. Obviously he isn't 20 anymore and you can hear the miles on his clock, but sill, for a 65 old man who was away from stage for like 10 years, didn't practice anymore and is nearly deaf along other issues, he sounds still pretty amaizing. Most people will never be able to sing like this even in their prime. Just listen at around 4:40 and tell me he can't sing anymore again, bullshit.
That's what I'm saying. Sure, he got older, but we all do, nothing to be ashamed about. Considering his age and what he went through already, his voice is in a pretty good shape.
I so agree. Maybe too it was the camera angle that created such a great performance. Seems like cameras focus on singer & guitars most often, but this was such a great feature of Nick.
