cat5e has up to 1gbps for up to like 140feet. it doesn't matter unless you're doing a big campus, which then you'd run cat 6 and then fiber in between buildings, which is a fuck ton more than you'd ever need in a home or small business.
Kevin Schafer this can replace your existing modem but this model is not a router. I purchased 4 google wifi access points and the first one acts as the router. My speed so waaaaay faster using my own equipment!
Just curious, is there anyone (Best Buy, Amazon, etc) that sells a cable box that is both router and modem like the one Armstrong makes me rent, but it's much better? REPLY
I think so. Staples or Walmart sell them but you have to make sure it's approved through armstrong. I purchased the modem separately because I google wifi which is awesome! Now that I use my own equipment my internet speed is thru the roof with no interruptions. Good luck
Nice 👍🏼Get the CM600 or choose one from your ISP approved modems list. Stay away from modem/router combos and the dreaded Intel Puma 6 chipset devices. Unfortunately most if not all Docsis 3.1 modems have that chipset installed.
He knows how to open the box and talk about it. neat. no setup.
Way to point that out captain obvious...
@@billbrown1380 well dont put it in the title mr “genius”
THANK YOU for mentioning that included cable is CAT5E!
Nobody mentions what cable is included, even the box or literature inside.
It is printed on the cable every few feet.

I have Armstrong cable. Can this replace my cable modem router that I have to pay for each month? Does it work as a router also?

Best bit of information was the last 30 seconds - giving your provider the MAC Address. I wouldn't have known to do that.
Vita Leonis what’s the MAC address??
It was more unboxing than anything. He set it up but didn’t even show anything. Worse video
The worst video you mean. Grammar, please.

That modem is a Puma modem, it's garbage.

What’s a puma modem ?
@@XXX-cn7gj The chipset has issues. I wonder if firmware upgrades have solved the problem.
Puma 6 chipset 👎
What's the issue with the chipset?
Latency issues bro. Intel is actually being sued for it. Look it up.
