    One of the most comfortable extreme ( metal shaped ) guitars I’ve ever played . The short wing on the bottom made it more comfortable to play in a classical position . It makes sense that it would be considering Randy studied classical guitar .

    I have wanted one of these ever since they were released. I own a USA Jackson King V that i love and i wonder how this would compare in sound and build quality to my King V

    • @dumpsterplayer5133
      @dumpsterplayer5133 3 роки тому +9

      Its honestly a little bit boring compared to the old USA production line, or even the Japanese production line (even after the Professional Pro was discontinued they continued to make USA-class instrument for the local market). Doesn't even have colored bevels or pinstriping, when Snow White Black Bevel is like THE RR1 color scheme and pinstripe is classic Rhoads.
      For the asking price new, I'm not sure if its ever worth over just importing an old JDM Rhoads, or rather 2-3 of them given the price difference. I picked up a Japanese Rhoads Custom (top of the line models of the early 90s, same spec as the USA Rhoads Custom that became the RR1) recently and its as well made as any USA I've played.

    • @_ProTrax
      @_ProTrax 3 роки тому +3

    Dude, the JB is my fav pickup! Love how upfront and present its mids are; it's a straight-up fucking crunch machine.
    I have one in the bridge of a Schecter C-1 Classic that I keep in drop-A. Most folks don't think of the JB as a pickup for severely downtuned guitars, but I was shocked at how well it works in that low tuning. Just an amazing all-around pickup.

    I have a Jackson RR5 from 2000 and it's an MIJ with a set neck. Totally awesome metal guitar. Also it's black and gold which is awesome.

    • @raygodmanMX
      @raygodmanMX Рік тому

      If it is a MIJ RR5 it is one solid piece of rock maple from headstock to butt, it's neck thru not a set neck. Your RR5 is much BETTER than a mere set neck lol.

    How is the quality compared to ESP E-II line up? I need to choose between this jackson and the E-II Arrow.

      I presume that in terms of fit, finish and hardware both are very solid choices. The dealbreaker is the neck shape; ESP and Jackson are VERY different in terms of neck feel.

    That was the best Demo, I have heard you play. The clarity mid range and highs were amazing. I would like to hear a comparison with the same amp and settings with your Solar guitars vs. the Jackson RRTyou just played.. Your lead sound and playing was amazing. I hope you have that sound on your next Album,

    But more than 2000€ *without* stainless steel frets is a no no !
    I'm waiting for an E II Arrow or a Jackson MIJ RR with SS frets.
    It's time to up their game at this price point.

    Had my transparent black USA made RR1T since 2005 and I don't think I could ever be without it. I swapped out the TB4 and SH2N for some EMG81's I had lying around as a bit of a make work project. Can't really decide if I like them or the Seymour Duncans better, but might put the EMGs in something else if it came along. I also changed it to 2 vol/1 tone when I re-wired it.

    Overpriced, like the entire market. Thank you Ola for having reasonable prices. I would say only a handful of makers are offering fair prices. Solar, Ormsby, and Dunable, would be the top 3 for me easy. Well done gentlemen!

      Almost every Indonesian made guitar falls in the Solar ballpark price wise, like the LTD Deluxe series. Japanese labour is far more expensive and so are are the guitars. In fact, the only thing stopping me from buying a Solar is Indonesian quality control, I wish Ola would go Korean with his brand. Seems like a good middle ground between Indonesia and Japan, every guitar I’ve owned from the Korean WMI factory has been excellent!
