I like the idea that the Lord of Hollows quit the Council a lot better, than he got fired. He just seems so disillusioned with the Council that it makes so much sense.
I feel like the lord of hollows being called "traitor" implies that at some point the council and some high ranking demons joined forces for a short time to halt mankind threat to them, and possibly around that time the lord of hollows left the council. considering the ending, the demons (and maybe the council too) were trying to find him to silence him for good, but they obvously aren't on the same side of this conflict
Good video! I might also add that the Council want the sigil for themselves when they see it, and both they and Ulthane seem to know what it is. ...Without telling us of course because where's the fun in that? Onward to irrelevant stuff! I started new game plus for DS2 back before the remaster and got to (I think) near the end of the Kingdom of the Dead before I started doing other things. When the Deathinitive Edition came out, my original save files ported over, but since Karn's side quests were originally part of a DLC I didn't have (something I had completely forgotten), I hadn't completed them in that game. I went back to that save file recently with the intention of completing the Crucible, and I was backtracking through the Forgelands to get Book of the Dead pages and such (skill points and stat boosts are life!), and discovered that Karn's stuff was still waiting to be found. I thought at first it was a glitch and the file hadn't copied over properly, but no, I just hadn't done those quests before. And the dialogue when you give the items to Karn without him asking you to look for them is *hilarious*! It opens up with Death saying "The things you people leave lying around," then when you give Karn the platter and he claims it as his, Death says, "This... _thing_ is yours?" XD Karn gets so defensive! Then for the helmet, Karn says it's not his, it's Thane's, and Death's response is something like, "and of course you had nothing to do with it being in a dungeon," at which point Karn admits to "borrowing" it. The dialogue for the compass was pretty similar to the usual one. In other news, I got a better hardrive. I forgot just how *GORGEOUS* the DS3 graphics are! There's a *huge* difference between low shadow quality and medium shadow quality. Now when I die, it's not the game lagging; it's just me failing.
SLR 409 It’s a spinoff title that will be in the same universe but loosely connected to the franchise. Darksiders 4 will release later and will be the official game with strife
In regards to the Sigil, Ancient ones recognize its potency. Charred Council, Ulthane, and even Lucifer remark - where as Ulthane is the one who tells Fury that she should keep it when she tries to offer it to him; saying she doesn't feel worthy to wield The Lord of Hallow's gift.
How the hell human will ever become powerful enough to challenge Heaven and Hell? will we going to create portal to hell and found a cursed sarcophagus where a naked guy is buried?
I would like to give the insight and possibility that instead of being one of the council that the Lord Of Hollows was just one of their forces with my evidence being pointed to the Abomination Vault novel where it is seen that the council has more pawns than that of the riders, like the Keeper of Oblivion and I believe the Riders of Perdition are also of the council. I would be wondering if you'll take up on that idea but when he had said that he was of the council thats what i had figured he meant
Well actually the harvester (deaths main weapon) also doesn't have any symbols or writing, just skulls reminiscent of the souls that are used for currency in DS1 and 3.
I think the lord of hollows had that sigil and that’s what gave him his council power and then he empowered it with souls to allow the holder of it to be strong enough to destroy the council members real forms
Lot's of people call it that for shorthand. Obviously the design is a little different but, maybe...? We couldn't find a hard yes or no, so we didn't mention it.
It has a similar appearance for sure. A lot of people just call it that. We don't know anything about ti for sure. Other than it has a demon on one side and angel on the other.
I'll be honest, I didn't like the inconsistency DS3 offered. The Council seemed considerably angry that Abaddon betrayed the Balance in Darksiders 1 which is what prompted them to send War in the first place. It's not that they didn't care about humanity mind you. They could have simply be unaware of other methods such as the Tree of Life or utilizing the Well of Souls. It's entirely possible too that Death was only able to achieve resurrecting humanity, assuming he did so at the end of DS2, because he had the souls of the Nephilim - equivalent exchange. The Council wasn't aware that Death kept the artifact intake despite telling Death to destroy it which Death lies about.
Eeehhhhh, I’m not sure some of this is correct. For one thing, I’m relatively sure that The Hollows is not a realm of Hell. If it were, it wouldn’t be literally in the Earth. We know that “realms” are different planets in the Darksiders lore and that it requires some kind of magic, usually a portal, to travel to and from them. And portals always look basically the same, sometimes just with different colors. But Fury can climb out of The Hollows without ever going through a portal. Plus, when Fury says “The Hollows is a hell all its own”, the game captions don’t capitalize hell, which means it’s not talking about Hell the place, but rather a wholly undesirable location to be in. Some people call their workplace a hell. I also don’t think the Lord of Hollows was a MEMBER of the Charred Council. He says he “belonged to” the Charred Council and asks Fury if it’s so unbelievable that he was once “counted among their number” and that led me to believe that he meant he served the Council in the same way the Horsemen do. Especially considering that he says he was a force for Balance, indicating that he did the work himself. And when have the Council ever been known to do anything themselves? It seems more likely to me that he was another enforcer for the Council. I’m not even super convinced that he’s a demon. He doesn’t look anything like a demon, for one. No horns, no wings. Even Vulgrim had wings. Vulgrim’s wings look like they had been cut/ripped off and bandaged up, but the Lord of Hollows doesn’t even have little wing stumps.
Only if it’s been previously established that he’s talking about the Charred Council entity instead of the faction controlled by the Charred Council. If he’s talking about the faction, which is what it sounds more like to me, then “counted among their number” means that he was part of the faction. The Horsemen can be counted among the number of the Charred Council faction.
He also has the ark of the covenant on his back literally, that thing is supposedly missing on our plain as well, his given jester helmet as well I'd believe he was close to the humans which is why he was removed.
Lot's of people refer to it as the arc of the covenant (which, minus the demonic motifs it does bear a strong resemblance to). Beyond that, we don't really know. We assume he made it, and before he burst into light we thought that's where he was keeping his souls, but now we have no idea.
Do you guys plan on playing Darksiders Genesis whenever that comes out? And by the way thank you for showing my comment in the beginning of the video I consider that to be a huge honor
Another excellent lore video. I love these ^^ Apropos Darksiders. I presume that you guys have the announcement of the new Darksiders prequel / side game? ua-cam.com/video/tfziRNV4ujA/v-deo.html

The best video so far. Why not do a lore video on the council and their real intentions. That and who the charred council really is.
Solle true but after how Darksiders 3 ended, I’m now questioning the charred council and their true intentions.
They are making another game! Darksiders genesis!!!

Just wanna day love you guys and don’t ever stop making Darksiders videos
Was anyone else thinking DARK SOULS when they heard about this guy?
How the hell human will ever become powerful enough to challenge Heaven and Hell? will we going to create portal to hell and found a cursed sarcophagus where a naked guy is buried?
*oh* *shit*
Probably tech
please do a lore video on the valkrur from valkyria chronicles

The Lord of Hollows practically says this, he was just an "employee" and not part of the Council itself.
@@FatalFist Ya thats what im saying!
I just realized that Death is the only one that has symbols or writing on his weapon.. any ideas?

they said it is a prequel which we knew but that we will be seeing events like the war on eden and the battle of the nephelin!! I cant freakin wait
This was good can’t wait to your lore video on the seven deadly sins and can your next video be on the seven deadly sins
Also, is that Arc of the Covenant? I never noticed the statues on the Lord of Hollow's chest he carries on his back.
Lot's of people call it that for shorthand. Obviously the design is a little different but, maybe...? We couldn't find a hard yes or no, so we didn't mention it.
I'm curious about what's strapped to his back. It looks a lot like depictions of the Ark of the Covenant.
It has a similar appearance for sure. A lot of people just call it that. We don't know anything about ti for sure. Other than it has a demon on one side and angel on the other.
I still don't understand why fury tried to call Rampage during battle, seems kinda out of place...
Just like the other horsemen, "Ah, this fight is fairly even, let me stack the odds in my favor" *summons horse*
War use. Ruin against the destroyer and death use despairs against the guardian

Anyone know when THQ Nordic will be presenting or talking at E3?
Everyone but fury knew that her watcher was envy
I believe the stone sigil is going to call the creator and he's going to give humanity the evolution it needs to be equal
No one will comment that he is carring the Arc of Alliance?
He’s was cryptic till the very end
Yea... that bastard. lol

Yes! and thanks for the lore request :)
Maby you can do a video about Charred Council or Seven Deadly Sins?
Cuáles son sus expectativas con respecto al nuevo juego, centrado en Strife. Saludos desde Argentina
We like it and look forward to finding out the story, we're also very excited about the co-op game aspect. :) Greetings from USA. :)
Slightly un-related but can you do a video on the Keyblade War, or Keyblade itself?
**Laughs in Dark Souls**
Can you comment on the new darksiders that just got announced
Comment.
(We look forward to it. Playing co-op as Strife and War in a Diablo Style game sounds super fun! :) )
A other good vidoe dude keep it up andt still we dont see lucifer
What about strife and his game
His game is not out now. So he can't be here
Why is no one talking about the ark of the covenant looking box on the Lord of Hollows' back?
Because no one knows that it is?
Another excellent lore video. I love these ^^
