The Archon is hands down my favourite boss in the Darksiders series. The music, the mechanics, the voicelines, he's just such an awesome boss to fight!
He's a very cool and unique character for sure, and we're always glad to keep hearing that voice actor doing things. So we agree, plus taking on something that powerful is always fun.
@@TrueMastersandMorons I have a few things to tell you guys 1 i never EVER imagined seeing Gollum in a Darksiders video which is at the same time, surprising and annoying which brings to point 2, why annoying? well because it seems like no matter where i go on the internet i almost ALWAYS find something Gollum related whether it is on videos Video games or videos in general or in game/figurine selling stores and because i can immitate is voice pretty well in both english and french (even in personality tests😭😤) And 3 to answer your question the Seraphim is for the Angels what Lilith and the Princes of Hell are to demons (just like them they are the first generation of their species to be created, and also tend to have multiple wings)
if i remember correctly, somewhere in the games they say that the dark prince's time is ending. that he is in the final stages of his rule. i always thought this to be a reference to how samael's power is said to be great enough to be a threat to the prince of lies and we - as war- restored his power and freed him. after all the keys aren't entrusted to low level demons and angels, but beings of great power.
There is a point in one of the comics where that comment is made (if it's said the games too we can't remember where). But that is true, Samael's power was fully restored, and if ever there was a motivation to vie for control of the throne, it's after years of imprisonment.

Another excellent video! You both do an excellent job at putting all the little pieces together most of us glaze over until it presented and the light bulb comes on.
Three things: 1. I have that copy of the Divine Comedy! I recieved it as a gift from my English Teacher when I was a Sophomore or Junior. 2. Also, I was one of the ones who told you that. Glad to know you caught that as well. Yay! 3. Look up Rosescythe, you won't be disappointed. They've made covers for nearly every song on the Darksiders 2 soundtrack. Stains Of Heresy is the Archon's theme and my favorite theme in the game, as well as my fave cover by Rosescythe. I'd also recommend their covers of the Trailer Theme, Crowfather Theme, and The Guardian Theme.
Also, everything I see the Archon fall down once you defeat him, I can't help but wonder how Death got the key. The Archon was still holding it as far as we knew. So either Death took if off his hands once he ran him through with Harvester. Or in a more funny scenario, he had to go get the key off of the dead body of the Archon that was now several thousand feet underneath him at the least. Womp womp womp. Course chances are he grabbed it during the stabbing with Harvester part, but imagine if the game actually made you ride Despair down to those pretty fields and forests again trying to find this dead bastard to get the key. Or if they played it out as a cutscene for a bit of humor. Course it could've given them a chance to play with us again by either having Lilith contact him by saying something like, "You're so close now." or "Yes my child, soon now....soon you'll have your brethren restored to you." Or hell even another being could contact him during such a search. That being Absalom, which could be used to give us more insight on the relationship he and Death had. Aside from being close knit brothers. Perhaps Corruption's way of trying to lead Death to fall as Absalom did? Or we could even get another memory triggered by something during the search. One that gives again, insight, into the relationship Death had with Absalom before the events that led to Absalom's demise came to pass. Just a little something to make interesting conversation and to poke a bit of fun.

Well, do you think that since the Dark Prince was the disembodied voice in Darksiders 2 that HE may be revealed in the upcoming Darksiders 3? Also, if you meet and work with Samael in D1 then fight him in D2... do you think in D3 we'll get to fight Lilith? I would LOVE to fight Lilith! I'm probably just overthinking this and looking for patterns but I can't help it since I'm so freakin' excited for the upcoming game!!!! You guys need to do a lore on Ostegoth please! I just rewatched all your lore videos yesterday so I really think you should at least mention our goat pal Ostegoth in an assorted video. Especially since its implied that the Nephilim may have been the ones to wipe out his people... Oh and maybe Karn cause he's just so adorable trying to be helpful and all. He really is like a 'Pup', eager to go adventuring and please people.
It's entirely possible that we will we expect to see him at some point in the game series and her being on a sanctioned council mission could be a perfect excuse for the council to intervene thus allowing contact with him without being allowed to fight him. As for fighting Lilith it's totally possible (and even kind of likely as a known female antagonist) So i guess what we're saying is "yeah anything's possible just got to wait and see. :P"

for those who are wondering the phrase seraphim is the collective name given to the angels who served directly under god in the book of revelations archangels like michael gabriel and even lucifer (before his fall from grace) as such the seraphim are the most powerful angels in heaven they are only a single step below god in terms of power
Specifically War and Death? War is straight up a beefy tank, Death is the Melee DPS of the group for sure. But the interesting addition here of Weaponry that makes up for the weaknesses definitely pushes Death into the lead. War and all the weapons he gains are big strong hits that aren't really fast, he can dodge and dash but all in all not exceptionally agile. Even the Harvester that War get's he uses as a big two handed sweeping attack of death. Where as Death is agile and made for speed while still being quite strong, BUT he has weapons like the Giant two handed maces, axes and such that make him slower but more powerful, and even the gauntlets and such that allow for more agile but weaker attacks. Not to mention Unlike in War's game Death can swap out equipment weapons, armor, and such as the situation requires. War is stuck with one of two armors and 3 weapons. In our opinion War gets more fun toys that make up for some of those deficiencies but all in all Death wins.

(to be fair we do have more info on him than any other horseman) the only thing that brings doubt into our minds is a comment made by one of the creators of DS 3 where in they stated "With Darksiders 3 you will be playing the strongest Horseman to date" But we do personally see that as "Fury has her council sanctioned powers" Where Death wasn't on a sanctioned mission and War "technically" was but had a major power drain due to being dead and in the abyss for however long. (*whispering* Plus we're pretty sure the council was draining him because they suck)
I've learned one thing never stick with a description for a character in an early game cuz later on apparently they're going to change the gender of a character because originally in the third game they had to change the character for some reason it was originally in the first one a male so for them dramatically change it really mean something and it really bothers me at times I don't care that it's a female I'm just upset that they changed it after the point of creation it's like why what was the point?
