Probably completely insane theory: Karn is Thane's son.
My reasoning: That helmet Ulthane made for Thane now belongs to Karn. Presumably it was given to him; I doubt he stole it. I also seem to remember Karn saying it had sentimental value. So if Thane gifted a family heirloom to his son (potentially as some sort of coming-of-age present), then everything makes sense.

Nice video guys! You guys should do one on the Horsemen’s “ultimate forms,” i.e. War’s Chaos form and Death’s Reaper form (maybe do some speculation on Fury’s ultimate form?)

You guys HAVE to do ultimate forms for death and war! Reaper and Chaos
As you already know (at least I think so). Ulthane saved mankind with Fury's help. And then he probably lost his fellow-friends Makers in the battle against the Destroyer and his forces.
And Darksiders 3 ending shows us how Ulthane knew the way of creating Strife's gun. And by looking at that Death is using the second one he received from the Makers in their land. I think Strife was safed by Ulhtane as well.
You guys should update this video. Darksiders 3 has more info on the dark hammer

Great video. And well I thought I knew almost everything from Darksiders games. But this scene with Ulthane being shocked when he learnt about Abbadon . I didn't know. U really surprised me
RIGHT!!?!?!? We were so very surprised to find that was a thing. Isaac has now played through that game (including the channel play through) 3 or 4 times. NEVER found that one. Glad we could show you something new. :)
A month late, but Death was never even close to full strength in his game. For goodness sake there's two characters mentioning this (Samael, and the Lord of Bones), and he doesn't even have his Harvester. He's more handicapped than War is considering War has both Harvester AND Chaoseater.
That aside great video. I think the reason War cannot harm Ulthane is simply because he, unlike Death, doesn't have the strength to do so without his Chaos form yet. We fight side by side with Karn in Darksiders 2, and he isn't even scratched by any being either, which is funny considering most think him young and inexperienced. Also look at Eideard taking multiple shots from The Guardian all while channeling his strength into trying to help it. Makers are almost impossible to kill.
Another great video guys and glad you found out about that optional cutscene with Ulthane. I've watch a lot of playthroughs of Darksiders and many usually miss that scene, which is a cool scene in itself imo.
Totally agreed, we'd never seen it before and it was a really cool moment. It was also hard to find that clip for the very reasons you mention, lol

Please make a video on the ultimate forms of the horsemen. Like where they came from and how they emerged of you can.
I'll tell you what i know about it: Nephilims are half demon and half angel so their power and abilities are unstable. Some times they can unleash great level of power (chaotic form) for limited time and then need to recover cause thier bodies cannot stand much time with so powerfull force inside. Their power varies thorugh the time slightly because of this lack of balance in them. Thanks to their mixed nature they are far more difficult to kill and dont die with ease(more difficult to kill than demon or angels). Their mind too are not too balanced as well because of their nature.

You guys are still doing great videos. You have improved alot from what i can tell as well. The lores and lets plays are fun, entertaining and i learn quite a bit. Isaac and Tarren keep it going.

I just watched all of your Darksiders Lore videos to get myself ready for Darksiders 3 tomorrow! I think if you guys animate more on the videos they would be even better - for example, making little cartoons to explain some points beyond showing a picture of a character etc. But I get that this would be time consuming.. Just a thought :)
Thanks for the input, we're working on making these lore videos more engaging all the time. We love the idea of animating bits, but unfortunately animation is not a skill set we've cultivated as of yet.
at the end of the day, Ulthaine was very much angry and sad at himself for causing Humanity's extinction

Wasnt it stated by the lord of bones that death wasnt at full power and until he was, he was beneath him.
Oh the biggest suggestion I feel would help is getting some more art in video.

Thought Death wasn’t at full strength in Darksiders 2 also I was so made I couldn’t keep that hammer in Darksiders 1.
Death is at his full base strength. His "limitations" are that he wasn't allowed to use his Harvester (his true blade) and that since he wasn't on a council sanctioned mission he wasn't given the council's boost power that many presume that they give on sanctioned missions.
Lol. The hammer would be awesome but I think Ulthane would beat War into the ground before letting that go.

Wonderful video fellas, I love Ulthane and can't wait to see what he and Fury are going to be up to in Darksiders 3. As far as how to improve the videos... well I'm no video editor so I can't really say think of anything technical. As far as your scripts for these lore videos I love how thorough you guys are in your research and I'll bet it is time consuming. I have no idea other than maybe asking a third party volunteer to help you with the research part (gathering data and evidence) that way all you have to do is proof read instead of doing all the research yourselves and you can give them credit in the vid. After all, your not Two Men and a Mic anymore and there are plenty of morons out there :D. Of course it would have to be someone you trust and really knows their stuff as well as good research techniques instead of just quoting everything from wikipedia. Easier said than found I know but it's all I can think of.
If nothing is glaring at you from the technical end we'll take that as win :)
Also thank you so much for the heartfelt response, and long term that is totally something we want to look into.
The stuff you added in this video definitely in enhanced it and made it more engaging, but to make it better you just Gotta try stuff out and see if it works or not.

Dang, I made a whole play through of this game, and I had no idea there was a cutscene with Ulthane, after you come back from Eden.

We've thought multiple times of bringing more people into the team. But we don't make any money for this and thus couldn't hire anyone even if we wanted too.
As for logo we just recently changed from Two Men and a Mic to True Masters and Morons and with that came a new Logo and intro.

True Masters and Morons Lore over the seven seals and how the breaking of the final seal resurrected war and death? Or how that relates the level of control the council has over the horsemen?
Some ideas: the four chosen in darksiders 1 or the optional bosses in darksiders 2
Gimli wouldn't feel no longer as the ofcose one in the group, he be the most intimadated of the bunch. Ldgolas better watch what he says now.

To answer your question, the videos are already great. If you were to do something different. I say grab our attention even more with fonts spelling out difficult names and locations. Maybe some portions of gameplay when regarding certain items/characters/locations can also be edited in.
During the second game Death was not at full power also tho. Because the seals were not broken yet.
That kinda cleared the air about Ulthane a little bit since I only played Darksiders 2

Steve Bruce Death cut it off when War went a little battle crazy, rampaged on Earth, and stabbed Death. The gauntlet is an artificial replacement.
Thane is a warrior by trade. He is devoted enough a warrior to spend his breathing moments training at his place.
I would say thane is the stronger than ulthane.
War not being able to harm ulthane at a powerless stage is not an argument for ulthanes strength.
Death was able to do so much to thane cuz he is death. And thane will one shot you in game if ur level ain't high enough.
Imagine, if u could rewrite the lord of the rings, and make it more like this game. What would journeying though moria be like?

Question thats always bothered me, "Why! doesnt WAR! dual blade?" why is my boy not use both swords hes strong enough to do so
That just reduces the strength behind each swing. Why swing half as hard with two blades when you can swing at full power every time with one? That's our opinion anyway. rawr :)

If you think that your earlier stuff is poorly done have you thought of redoing them in your new format?
Most of our earlier work is actually just reading the content from books and logs within the games themselves like we're voice actors recreating a dramatic reading. And while we could either re read them that way or summarize and re release we don't think that we ever will for 3 reasons. 1. we feel like it's a cheep grab for views, kind of like game creators releasing "the definitive edition" of their games, Nothing new, just prettier. (Not that we don't sometimes buy those if we really love the games) so we don't want to do that... For now who knows what the future holds. 2. Most of the older stuff done this way really couldn't be moved to our new process, Just not enough information. And 3. While we will probably never make content like that again, that was our original idea, to read and try to put passion and acting into our lore videos, and those old videos will always hold a special place in our hearts, Even if the quality was crap. :P

Is there any backstory on the chosen that War killed?
Virtually none. We find out in Darksiders 2 that they are creatures from the abyss, not demons, but there is little to no elaboration on that subject.

How did Lilith find out of abadons plans with Azreal and Ulthane if she was not present?
We know that she's a master of seduction and manipulation, we also infer based upon her age and status that she has eyes and ears all over the place. It's never explained how, just that she knew.
She didn't had to be there. She might catched one of HellGuards and find out that angelic forces are preparing for sth huge. Besides I wouldn't be surprised if she would have a spy among the angels. After all even one of the maker fell in love with her so an angel would as well. Lilith is tricky

It is not wrong at all. :) Well so far, as long as it's on post apocalyptic earth it's almost a guarantee at this point. :P (we don't think strife's game will be on earth but still)
@@TrueMastersandMorons well we're going by the fact that at the end of the 3rd game it's revealed that the 4th horseman has already been on earth ....we don't know for how long or if his game takes place before all the other ones or if it takes place after
@@TrueMastersandMorons we have to assume it post apocalyptic earth since War going to earth without the 7th seal being broken is the whole reason the shit hit the fan (although if he hadn't the horsemen would've ended up clueless and taken the fall for the three sides little scheme to wipe out humanity)what we have to wonder is what Strife's job is in his game....it seems that the council had some idea what he was doing when fury showed up...so far each horsemen's job has been as followed:
War....to clean up the earth of Hell's forces/Death:to find out the "truth" behind War's punishment/Fury:sent to earth to basically get it ready for War when he eventually comes since she got rid of the sins but not the chosen

Actually both Death and war wasn't at full strength the difference is that war's sealed while death's was denied neither being at full power in the beginning of their games
Death can't use his scythe, which definitely is a handicap, but as far as we know Death's personal abilities aren't hampered at all, he just can't use his mightiest weapon. It's always inferred that on an official council mission the horsemen are given a boost of some kind, but there's nothing anywhere saying Death was drained, at worst he's at his normal "base" ability level during his game. Whereas as we're told many times that War had the vast majority of his power specifically taken from him.
@@TrueMastersandMorons it's cool you guys replied but y'all must have forgotten the lord of bones stating that because death is doing his quest n it's not part of his duty he is denied his rightful power not weapon. Though he is indeed not in possion of that either lastly what's the name of the music in your opening if you don't mind me asking
While the Lord of bones does say that we believe that's because the lord of bones thinks that the full power that the horsemen are granted on sanctioned missions should be allowed to death at all times because it's his right as a rider. Could easily be wrong though.
That being said we believe that Death is not at a weakened state as War was in his game. Death is simply at what would be considered his base power, no help from nor hindrance due to the council, simply Death being Death. He would be at a greater power if he was on a sanctioned mission we believe because the council gives a boost to power on sanctioned missions.
