I have one! It's the perfect casual fightstick. Since it's upgradable there is plenty of room to grow. It you want the upgraded parts they already sell a Elite which comes with Sanwa parts.
@unkn0wn Yes the stock stick will start to drift - I had to get under the hood and re-calibrate as well as use compressed air and a little re-greasing to get it back to where I needed it. The buttons haven't waned on me over time, but they are below-average at best. Sanwa buttons are recommended.
When you're thinking about to buy a F300 or Elite for fighting games, save some extra money for the F500 or Elite version. The extra space on the left for the hand would be much more comfortable, i think. I bought the F300 Elite version and I'm now saving money for a bigger fight stick.
in some unboxing videos i've seen it comes with octagonal restrictor gates. while some reviews/unboxings don't mention it at all. does it come with an octagonal gate or not?
I wish someone would come up with a fun colored arcade stick. I notice all the pre-made ones are all drab and grim reaper themed. My last two arcade sticks were the Dreamcast one with neon green buttons and the Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick. I thought of getting the Neo Geo stick, because at least it's not black, and I like the colorful buttons, but I'm not paying $190 for it. I'd rather make my own if I'm gonna pony up that much. Only problem is, I really don't wanna research parts and wirings for two weeks straight to figure what parts are compatible with what wiring and what not. Gah... maybe if I have extra time, I'll do it, but otherwise, I'll probably skip arcade sticks this generation.
the online listing for this stick also says it supports Nintendo Switch along with the other compatibilities. for this reason, I plan on using the pcb and wiring and nonessential buttons from this stick and put them into a custom case
This and the Qanba Drone are about the same price on Amzn($60). As you've reviewed both, which do you think would be the better purchase? Also considering possible future upgrades? The F300 looks super easy to mod and might be better when finished, but does the Drone come with better stock parts? P.S. a comparison video of both of these fight sticks would be awesome. Maybe like a sub-$100 fight stick comparison, that would be super useful info for a first stick purchase!
Either ones a good choice. In my opinion they're both easy to mod, but what do you want? Longevity or the ability to play on multiple systems? Drone has better stock parts and is of much better build quality. F300 is good if you want to play on multiple systems if you have the controller for that system. A buying guide and stick guide video will be made in the future btw
shell the extra twenty and get the f500 over the 300 due to case size. You WILL outgrow that f300's small case, unless you're looking for a portable stick.
2:23 Any reason why you didn't show any demonstration of this actually connecting to either console? I've tried the PS3/D-Input setting and the stick does not work on my Xbox 360 Arcade console. I've tried everything from hooking up a controller to the stick to the console, to going online to the Mayflash website and downloading the latest firmware for the stick. I cannot for the life of me get this thing to work on the 360. I am aware that the controller I used probably wouldn't have worked since it's wireless and comes with the chargeable battery pack, but I figured it was worth a try. And the instruction manual it came with lists that BOTH the "Game console" and the "X-Input/NS" modes support XBox 360. Can literally anybody else who may have had this issue help me out here? I'm about to just bite the bullet and go out looking for a hardwired controller or the Magicboots dongles that Mayflash also sells.
I got one a few months backs, it's sturdy, heavy, good grip underneath. My first stick, it's enhanced my gameplay so much. Join my club on Xbox, Way of the Warrior UK and let's fight!
Hi , I got this Mayflash fight stick f300 , just want to let you know , the mayflash does work on the xbox360 slim.. I bought the VOYEE , wired Xbox360 Controller Replacement for Xbox 360 Controller on amazon , works with the Mayflash , but it is better on the ps4.. , just wanna give you head's up that it works on Xbox360 slim, and ps3 , Ps4 slim, .. thanks as well .. great video
I hope you can reply with a response but have you tried using a Brooks converter (ps3 > ps4)? If so, do you have to attach it in the usb slot of the fightstick or the usb wire?
Hi there dude! I've got a Mayflash F300 but I've to say I wanted a qanba or smt in same quality, but you know, my budget wasn't enough hahahaa. But I've seen lots of video like this and modding Mayflash F300 with metalic buttons and stick makes it look just great. I was thinking in upgrade mine to sanwa parts with colored buttons but you've made just change my mind. hahaa. Nice video.
How's the stick treating you I was also torn between this and the qanba carbon on special on wish..... But apparently the weight on this is better than those... So it doesn't move around which is nice
Sherazaad Abdulla the stick works perfectly for me. I love fighting games like KOF that's why I bought it. I've tried in all Kof's and still working awesome. I also bought a complete sanwa kit -stick, buttons, octogonal restrictor and female-female cable for the stick- to mod it soon. I will say this stick goes great for those who doesn't want to spend or doesn't have enough of money.
Hello, I would like to know if you could play race game on it such as need for speed, forza, etc using the analogue ... I am curious because I'm a quadriplegic, I'm searching for a joystick like this, because it is easy for me to hold, control and manage
For the Mayflash F300, I recommend a light blue sanwa button with a green rim for X/A, a red sanwa button with a red rim for circle/B, a pink sanwa button with a dark blue rim for square/X, a green sanwa button with a yellow rim for triangle/Y and four black sanwa buttons with black rims for the L1/LB, L2/LT, R1/RB and R2/RT buttons. And as for the lever, a Myoungshin Fanta.
It's a lot bigger by the looks of it. Hori is usually a bit better than mayflash.. but the size of the mini is the main drawback. Even the buttons are not standard size.
I respect the metallic button layout, but was distasteful for me. Meh, as a first stick. Be aware that you will want to upgrade this stick within 150 hours of hard use (buttons start to stick.) Sorry bout’ that bronchitis lol.
hey can you do a vid for the typrs of korean stick on the market, i still use a ps3 madcatz ke edition stick for tekken, and id lke to replace the joystick itself at first, thx in advance.
f300 55.9 x 33 x 27.9 cm; 1.81 kg Don't know if that's for the packaging or box.. but it's ok size. I've heard it could do with an extra half an inch for hand rest area. Depends how you angle your hand to play I guess.
I'm not sure if there's a new one, but he has a mini stick, and it's BALLS The stick is okay, buttons are terrible, super light so it moves everywhere, and it's impossible to mod.
Not a bad review.. would have been nice to hear an audio demonstration of the default parts. Also if there was any input lag. And the button layout - is it neo geo style layout, or the street fighter style. I'm sure the f300 is the street fighter style layout. But besides that, pretty good review
Thanks. I'm new to this and want to get a joystick for my Raspberry Pi and just need to be sure it's deep enough for the good clicky buttons and joystick when this one wears out.
「Quality」 My real questions was does this count as a legacy stick, or modern ones. Because I'm not sure if Dragonball fighterz supports legacy sticks. For some reason some people with this stick use the PS3 setting on the ps4 and not the universal one making me think that it's counted as a legacy stick on the ps4.
I have one! It's the perfect casual fightstick. Since it's upgradable there is plenty of room to grow. It you want the upgraded parts they already sell a Elite which comes with Sanwa parts.
Background music is from tekken 7 character customization
sticks like these are literally only there for either for beginners or if you want to mod them since shells are so expensive for some reason
Hm, you just gave me an idea lol
Isnt that obvious lol
I have this stick and modified it with sanwa buttons and a crown stick.. it works pretty well for me
which crown stick did u mod it into? 309 mj?
I put in a 309-FJ.
@unknown from what i know, fightsticks dont ever really drift.
They are not like the joycon analog sticks lmao
@unkn0wn Yes the stock stick will start to drift - I had to get under the hood and re-calibrate as well as use compressed air and a little re-greasing to get it back to where I needed it. The buttons haven't waned on me over time, but they are below-average at best. Sanwa buttons are recommended.
Exactly the information I was looking for, thank you!
If you update the firmware you can also use it on the Nintendo switch!
You really need to get yourself a stable, non-wobbling table. Very distracting.
no
He should do a table review next time. He could probably mod it or something
this was a cool vid, i like how the silever replaced parts , really good stuff.
I wish you all the best health for 2018, keep up the great work!

i just got this stick and its the best . Planning to mod it in the future. I like hows it small and easy to store away.

you can get the Mayflash F500 Elite or F500. It supports upgrading components and custom artwork for top panel.
Wow what a high quality video, thanks! Just got mine for DBFZ
Fernando Carrillo how’s yours work for dbzf cas that’s what I want mine for does it play well with it easy to pick up
the online listing for this stick also says it supports Nintendo Switch along with the other compatibilities. for this reason, I plan on using the pcb and wiring and nonessential buttons from this stick and put them into a custom case

It's a bit extra for the half an inch of so needed to be comfortable. I think you might be right though.
I prefer the blue and black colours over the red and black though if I'm honest
I got the F300 Elite with sanwa components. Best for value vs performance.
The Mayflash Elite F500 .
I am curious on how to get the artwork.
Amazon did not sell or any online shops
Where can i buy the metallic parts like yours?
Kombat 36O FocusAttack

read the user manual( it comes with the firmware update bundle RAR file)

Hello may i asking you. I want to know about the function before i decide to buy it. Can F300 and PS4 controller assist. I mean can i use analog or another button on ps4 controller when i connecting with F300?
Would like to see more of this I LOVE YOUR REVIEWS 👍🏼🔥
I hope you can reply with a response but have you tried using a Brooks converter (ps3 > ps4)? If so, do you have to attach it in the usb slot of the fightstick or the usb wire?
got a deal for $25 used on this gonna buy it tomorrow wish me luck

Alexis de Jesus Restrepo de La Hoz thanks soo much for this bro this is exactly why I've chosen this stick I wanna do some mod artwork too
2:24 u can do that on ps4 too.. u don’t have to carry the DualShock 4
How?
Doesnt the dualshock need to be plugged into this stick though..
Do the stick rotate on itself, i hate that when it do that.
They also added support for the Nintendo Switch!
how do i do that
Hello, I would like to know if you could play race game on it such as need for speed, forza, etc using the analogue ... I am curious because I'm a quadriplegic, I'm searching for a joystick like this, because it is easy for me to hold, control and manage
You should give it a try! They aren’t that expensive, but there might be better options out there.
That's a neat trick to get it working on the xbox 360. Never heard of that.
I've tried it on mine, can't get it to work. I really hope the stick I got isn't a lemon or anything.
Amazing review! Subscribed.
whered the music come from? sick tunes! id love to know where i can find them
Is the Sanwa Stick ball suppose to spin around?
Been way out in the middle of no where it’s hard to get a good fight stick in store or even purchase one ☝️ nice videos been watching for a minute
What are the buttons you installed called?
rad video man glad u got better
That's so sick, what could be the estimated cost for a MF f500 with Sanwa stick/butts?
Just get a F500 Elite
Is this better than the Hori Fighting Stick Mini?
It's a lot bigger by the looks of it. Hori is usually a bit better than mayflash.. but the size of the mini is the main drawback. Even the buttons are not standard size.
Is it comfortable? I see there's not a big space for the left hand
Do i have to connect pad to this fightstick to make it work on PC?
should have no issues if you plug it in without a controller.
Nope just switch to the right input
I respect the metallic button layout, but was distasteful for me. Meh, as a first stick. Be aware that you will want to upgrade this stick within 150 hours of hard use (buttons start to stick.) Sorry bout’ that bronchitis lol.
do you know if the f500 has the same issue?
hey can you do a vid for the typrs of korean stick on the market, i still use a ps3 madcatz ke edition stick for tekken, and id lke to replace the joystick itself at first, thx in advance.
while the ps4 controller is connected, can someone use it? I only have one ps4 controller and I wanna play vs my friends using the stick
Could you please give me the dimensions on the base of the F300?
f300 55.9 x 33 x 27.9 cm; 1.81 kg
Don't know if that's for the packaging or box.. but it's ok size. I've heard it could do with an extra half an inch for hand rest area. Depends how you angle your hand to play I guess.
Is this stick compatible with the super retrocade? Good vid. Btw
Hey great video, can you review Hori Mini 4 ?
I'm not sure if there's a new one, but he has a mini stick, and it's BALLS
The stick is okay, buttons are terrible, super light so it moves everywhere, and it's impossible to mod.
How much noise does the stick make
exactly what I wanted to know. watched 3 or 4 f300 reviews and none cover it. Infact, most stick reviewers don't cover this aspect.
Does it support ps4 Pro?
what about the weight of the unit, it's not to light?
it has good weight
Thanks
Does this work with the Xbox One S ?
Is the stock stick compatible with a sanwa octagonal restrictor gate?
Yep.
I heard this stick now supports the nintendo Switch.
Is it compatible with fighterz
If u want to play wire less u can use a Mayflash magicboots dongle, no need to plug in a controller.
Do it work
Is this 8way stick?
I think it's dual 8 way / analogue / d-pad style switchable
Love this stick
Not a bad review.. would have been nice to hear an audio demonstration of the default parts. Also if there was any input lag. And the button layout - is it neo geo style layout, or the street fighter style. I'm sure the f300 is the street fighter style layout. But besides that, pretty good review
Does this have room for any type of Sanwa buttons?
Yes I did a modding video a little after this where I installed 30mm sanwas in it
Thanks. I'm new to this and want to get a joystick for my Raspberry Pi and just need to be sure it's deep enough for the good clicky buttons and joystick when this one wears out.
Does this work on the ps4 for Dragonball fighterz.
Mohamed Elmi the reason for that my friend is because they don't want to plug in the ps4 controller, as for the ps3 you don't need to plug anything
Does it work on raspberry pi?
Yep.
would this stick work on the mac
Not listed as such, but mayflash do make a lot of different adapters, so maybe
Good shit
Do i have to connect the Controller the whole time to play with that?
Tolgahan Saffak no u can use a Mayflash magicboots dongle
Aw yeah that midnight porn music.
That taken 6 customization music always reminded me of porn music.
I have this in my closet
Hmmmmm
Intrested
Please gift it to me
