- Patch Quest is in the home stretch of development! In this devlog, let's chat about what I've been up to since the last one, new zones and monsters coming to the game, the road to 1.0 and working with a brand new publisher!
It's been a little while since the last Patch Quest devlog, but things have been moving really quickly with the game. I appreciate all your support and I can't wait for you to play my indie game on October 13th, 2022!

Gotta love the critter converter!! Like imagine a 100+ frogs hopping by your side, the idea of that is just absolutely wild to me
The true frog army will finally happen!
Sadly, there is a limit to how many critters you can have max. But the amount is still pretty high. 😄
I really enjoyed the update but I'm partially burnt out as I'm just looking for my missing pins

the new music is absolutely brilliant, and i would love if there was some sort of "jukebox" feature to listen to it outside of the areas you normally find them

I love the feel of unlocking the rust zone, and the contrast between the two crystal zones' sub areas.
The portal mechanic looks cool like not just two portals are connected, a few are. I like that

This video showed me that Patch Quest is using Commonwealth spelling which is delightful and heart warming, please do not get rid of it.
I love the world map you have currently, but I cant help but miss the randomized version. I think it would be cool if there was a different game mode for a randomizing map, just so players have the option to choose.
It would be cool to see the one way gates randomized.

This game it's amazing, it would be super cool if it had online multiplayer to share the amazing experience with you'r friends.
When this game gets published you’ll should try to get it out on Switch! I’m sure there’d need to be some tweaks, but in my opinion it would just be a perfect fit!

I will give my opinion here, and i think its kinda of anti-climatic getting one of the strongest things you can get in the game (the "super-charms") right at the start of the game, i think it would be more satisfying to get them a little later in the game, like as soon as you finish a important part of the game, like opening the 3 main gates surrouding your base and then the game rewards you with a super-charm for the rest of the game or something like that, and yeah i would also like that instead of 3 randomized picks you can choose from, the game just gives you a random charm, and since apparently theres a lot of them each playthrough would be even more unique and less repetitive, and also forcing you to try out other charms instead of your "favourite one" or "the S rank in the tier list".
This game is such a fun blend between genres. Hands up if this pleasantly reminds you of Insaniquarium.

But yeah I don't even have a way to play it yet since my laptops henges rusted off cause I live in Florida and the air is filled with salt, but I saw it said multi-player and it made me think of the days of playing smash TV with my sister before we had a falling out again

I think video is good but I think you should break your state of play videos in smaller bits for UA-cam to get more weekly content. And keep your long videos for your developer analysis of other games. Etc. Like 10 UA-cam short videos then a long video post. Vs 5 medium length videos.

Nope! These are just the new zones for launch. I have lots of plans for the game after the official launch :)
