They both look nice on the outside to me, but I like the interior design of the Navigator ALOT more. Looks really classy inside.

Wow does the side profile of the Navigator EXTlook goofy and conversion van like. One thing is for sure, I would not want to own either of these out of warranty. Can't imagine how much it would cost to fix the starlight sky pattern in the sunroof of the X7 ect.

People that buy X7s don’t usually use their cars as pick ups, and have multiple vehicles.

2020 Lincoln Aviator is the same size as the X7. The Black Label will retail for 90 USD. I’m guessing 120k CAD ?

For me the regular Navgator reserve is the perfect SUV but if you don't want to break the bank, you can get a good used one for a couple of years old. My dad has one and they are good, will get it as my next SUV because he had an X5 and it was good, the X7 is the bigger version and can seat six but consider this. You can tow 8500 pounds with the Navigator and- Capable of producing 450 horsepower* and 510 lb.-ft. of torque,* the Twin-Turbocharged 3.5L engine in the Navigator is a true powerhouse. The X5 has problems with it's GPS that so true the X5 had the same problems. The gas consumption is fantastic and I love the heads up display. The gas consumption is better on the Navigator becasue Navgator has a start stop feature, the engine shuts down, when you are in traffic, when you want to drve, it will start.
Lol I had a 07 navigator I absolutely loved it but the gas killed me. 220-250 miles for $110 averaged 8-10mpg. Glad I got rid of it before gas went up another $1
Why compare 2 cars you believe are meant to do different. On top of that, choosing against it for not being able to do what it wasnt meant to do. Am I missing something?

The Navigators LED lights are really stunning!
There is an option for bench seat in the back making the X7 a 7 passenger car.

Compare it to the aviator
Forget horsepower , you should know that horsepower sell cars and TORQUE is what make a vehicle move forward ! ! Just wish that Lincoln would offer the 3 L diesel engine from the F150 !

Big Injun I think that is a far better comparison ... I think Lincoln will redesign the navigator to an even higher class when they redesign it ... since the aviator can be equipped to nearly $95k with all add-ons

It was the closest price wise, that is why we chose that one.
@@MotorPressReviews I'm 29 and personally I would choose the Lincoln over the BMW every day. If your buying a vehicle like that it's for the ride and you cant compare anything in the price point to the ride of a Lincoln.

Not a fair comparison. If the regular SWB Navigator was against the X7, between it and the BMW X7 would be a more fair comparison and a win between the two vehicles would be close first & second place.
The only reason it was close was that the Navigator was the LWB. If it would lose the space advantage, the X7 would be the clear winner times two.

Comparing apples to oranges... bmw x7 is tiny compared to navigator. The development philosophy and purpose is different. BMW is a sporty suv with extra seating as an afterthought and navigator is a people mover that is not meant to be sporty. Personally prefer the navigator’s styling way more as the bmw just looks dated from the outside. Also navigator is a truck so you could tow much more than a bmw!

Cadillac is ESV. In the USA it’s Reserve L and in Canada it’s Reserve EXT.

The Cadillac version of the Chevy Avalanche is called the escalade EXT. Therefore the navigator is either a navigator reserve or navigator reserve L. Same for the select version

If I'm driving a Navigator why would I give a damn about gas mileage, last time I checked BMW had a bad reliability problem, think about that before approching it.

I have the Navigator L reserve and X7 is pure shit in comparison. This is the Reserve L not EXT, that’s a shitty Cadillac. I’ll take that 2020 GLS over the X7 ANY day. I may just trade in the Navi for the GLS if the price is right.

Plus all wheels steer (yes, the rear wheels move/steer with the front ones), semi-automated driving, smooth steering and ride, and power that won’t leave desiring. Have smoked some SRTs, stis, older corvettes, camaros SSs, loud dodge challengers…
Quality, you got it right, materials awesome and Infotainment is easy to use and responsive with numerous easy to understand options and information.
Reliability has become a “hear say” for years, like an old joke, but after owning bimmers, Mercedes, Honda’s, Toyota’s, chevys, land rovers, they all seems pretty much the same. Well, the Land Rover is still new, so I have to see how that works.
These two reviewers are creepy the way they talk. Very Annoying!

The navigator is so ugly from the back. It looks like a bus.
The customers that are looking for a competitor of the x7 usually does not look at navigator because one is luxury German and the other is an american bus.
The X7 front end looks like a GIANT MOUSE which is that im really not in love with.
Both vehicles suck because the designers gave in to the lame fad/trend of gluing an iPad screen on top of the dash. All vehicles with this fad/trend are lame.
@Patron D. Hatcher, Sr. I would place it within the dash, where it belongs. I have a Range Rover. It's in the dash. I have a previous generation 750Li. It's in the dash. Rolls and Bentley still have their screens in the dash. Porsche still has theirs in the dash.

That was 40d other options are there which are very powerful such as 50d and x7M 8 cylinder more horsepower
BMW 2017 It says the 0-62mph of the 335hp X7 is 5.8 seconds. The 0-62 of the 450hp Navigator is 7.3 seconds. That’s according to the video. HP doesn’t really matter to BMW. Still fast.
