Peter Palmer is my uncle. He never spoke of making this episode. Thanks for bring this to the internet.
Simple, clean and a good story. Thanks for sharing with us.
Enjoyed the movie 👍
Thanks.
Thank you so much, Bob and Johnie, for sharing this great show! It would have made a wonderful series especially with writer, Kathleen Hite of Gunsmoke fame.
This is so darn awesome ... thank you kindly Bob Terry 🙌😊
I liked it.
Just love these forsaken westerns! I remember seeing Jack Weston in the "Thomas Crown Affair"
Thanks for the western . Better than what's on television today.
Far better.
I definitely agreed
And this is a 60 year old cancelled pilot lol!
Very good episode. Critter is an awesome character, very aware of his surroundings and human behavior. I like very much how he caught them 3 being aware of them not praying or reading the bible
Always a treat to see these under the radar tv series Westerns. Appreciate all your efforts & continued success.
This is a beautiful episode .. The concept is good .... Looking forward to see more of this kind .... Thanks for uploading btw
According to Wikipedia Peter Palmer "was the first music major to letter in football at the university [University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign]. While at Illinois his team won the Big Ten championships in 1951 and 1953 and the Rose Bowl in 1952. Palmer sang the national anthem at every home game in 1953 before taking the field."
LOVE this channel! Thanks again, Mr. Terry :)
Love the Nightfall piano 🎹 in the very beginning of the video!
Thanks for uploading this episode.
You cant beat a good western..
This is golden. Jack Weston was in "Wait until Dark' and Crahan Denton was in "To Kill a Mockingbird".
That would have been a good show for kids to watch!!
Best site for complete b&w weterns ! Thanks bob!
Loved this show, thank you for the upload
This is the 2nd time I've watched this. It's brilliant.
Me too I agree big bad White

Awesome show, and yes it would've been a good series my compliments sir
Bravo
TAKE ME BACK! I WANNA BE A COWBOY
The only show I've seen the “Padre,” was in an episode of Have gun ,will travel . Can't remember which one it is but it's a powerful good episode.
THAT was plumb painful. Wagh!
This was the Pilot that would have been episode #73 of the Texan starring Rory Calhoun. They apparently slotted this pilot in which Rory did not appear.
I looked at CTVA EP Guides and they show something completely different from the previous one I mentioned. They showed the title and actors that appeared in the Texan episode.
A mountain man with perfect hair, teeth and no beard.
It's not real life.
No chew of bakker either!
A big old toothy grin 😀
petey palmer was dragged through the mud, he couldve been a huge star
Holy that's a old western siries
Crahan Denton who plays the leader of the "priest" gang is probably best remembered for his role as Walter Cunningham in To Kill A Mockingbird. He was also in Key Largo & The Great St Louis Bank Robbery.
I can see why this never got beyond the 'pilot' stage. A clean-shaven Mountain Man with a Fabian-style hairdo really is a bit too much....
Heck, Fess Parker who portrayed both Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone was clean-shaven. Clearly the young man was eye candy for the womenfolk.
I know I saw him in some other things I feel likehe always played those villin parts his voice and that look ,he was a shoein
Don't make,,then,, like use, to this,,day,,are,, joke,, don't make anymore,, wish, but,, back again,, great show was,, great and,, awesome to,miss, then all,,theri, was,, great,, thanks for reminding how,, great was, keep up gone
The chubby crook was in the Incredible Mr. Limpid!
You didn't mention Conlan Carter, who played "Doc"in Combat!
Maggie Sue yes he was on combat, my compliments 😉
I often wondered what Peter Palmer did after LIL Abner
Wonder who killed the tv show? This pilot was great.
Back then people knew a good padre from a bad one.
Doc from combat as a padre
This would have been a pretty good seris
I'm a thinking these lock downs remind me of Ireland and how wicked. Cromwell cleared the land of human kind. Think il head back up to the Rockies for a spell.
🤠
Poor old Doc (Conlon Carter) in serious need of a Medic!!!!
THz, they should have made at least dozen more like this. Simple lesion, do NOT EVER be fooled or modern days applies what each of wear. It said on the bible, men shall not be judged by what he wears. The 3 murderers MOST likely hanged in those days as the FULLY deserved retributions on behalf of those senseless murders killed 3-Padress. Know this is fiction, but the principle will always be applied on man kind CZ...
Western with indian
@@valerieary6770 "Indians" are rarely featured in westerns, contrary to popular perception.
I can see why it never became a TV series.
So many e r howard tropes.
It was just okay
Murder of a priest is a sacrilege plus murder.
Peter Palmer Picked a Proper Pilot Picture. A Proper Pilot Picture Peter Palmer Picked.
If Peter Palmer Picked a Proper Pilot Picture, Where's The Proper Pilot Picture Peter Palmer Picked?
Mules are okay but donkeys are better 🐎🐎🐎🐎
KEEP AMERICA GREAT TRUMP 2020
Whyyy isn't there trusts, and loves for others than oneself or selves.whilst we lived and are LIVING LIFE IN THE EARTH,THE LORD GOD AND JESUS CHRIST,CREATED
,MAKE MADE.
superstitious?
yes that is sad indeed anthony. a bit of advice for relieving that sadness is
don't believe everything you think. it's really that simple
It was a really bad western starting with the name
“Critter”. Just too many gaps that made it nearly comical.
James Lucas, I don't agree. Although it was a bit 'rough' at times, I figure had it been made into an actual series, they'd have smoothed it out. I liked it.
had to fail, aint got no good inglish
Kinda corny - the acting is a bit melodramatic.
