What a remarkable Western! I used to sit perched on my dear old WWII vet father's lap when watching this and other Westerns; Actor Rory Calhoun was one of my favorite cowboys. I miss you, Pop. ❤
My grandfather was born in 1880, he and my grandmother gave birth to my mother when he was age 58, and she being 42. It was my grandfather's lap I sat on while in his rocking chair and we watched this show, and many others too. That was on Galveston Island, Texas.
Hey Analog TV Obscurity, This was a special series...thanks for making this episode available. There are only three that I've seen. Can you find any others? Thanks, Bill F.
I think that Horse is the well know beautiful "Dice" in USA maybe called a Pinto still but possibly another more finessed colour description .You should look up the great book HOLLYWOOD HORSES.
In the real west there was one woman to 20 men, most were either salloon workers or bonded workers (servants and wives. that were brough from the East either by contract or by marriage.)Barbars were also surgeons , they would heal broken limbs and pull teeth and stech up cuts. There was no plaster or cotten wool etc.

A truly great Western ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
"A man of no use to himself cant be of any use to anyone."
An example of a real man. Sight for sore eyes. A righteous one
First time to see this episode. Very good, and surprising all around.
All day TV for me,😊
Great movie. Watching Rory when he was a bit younger than Rawhide was fantastic! Even those cigarette commercials were pretty cool!
Even as a little boy l remembered quick draw of the Texan...😊
Rory played the part just right.
Enjoyed this!
It would take a Texan to smoke them dang viceroy's.
From time to time, " The Tree Of Liberty Has To Be Fertilized With Blood"! ...TJ

I have the complete series on DVD
Thank you
Not too strong.
Not too light.
Viceroy's got the taste that's right.
As a young boy it was one of my favorites
I think the Texan could take them all , maybe even the Rifleman , who never lost a show down !
I wish we had 10 of him today to take down the SWAMP.
No one takes Lucas McCain!
Way back when cigarette advertising was accepted
The tree of Liberty.
Listen to The Texans gun shots during the shootout at the end. His gun sounds like a cannon and the others is a normal shot.
he used the 45 long colt the others used the 44 or 36 calibers, less powerful, his went thru the door
He was shootin a .30 Carbine, que no?
There's a different between a 45 Long Colt and the 44-40.
That's right 😅
Is there any color version of this ? Like to know what color his horse is.
I think that Horse is the well know beautiful "Dice" in USA maybe called a Pinto still but possibly another more finessed colour description .You should look up the great book HOLLYWOOD HORSES.
Black and white, seriously.
The horse is/was a Pinto named Domino and was a dark brown or almost black and of course white.
Good thing for those big boulders laying around in the yard. 😂
Obviously, this was another Bill Longley.
I still think that Harris would get more than 3 votes were this method used in 2024.
But not too many more.
1000 MOVIES , BUT THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER
The usual bad guys

Try In The Heat of the Night
I am trying to find ep BLOOD MONEY WITH RAlLPH MEEKER
the tree of liberty is fertilized with blood. THOMAS JEFFERSON
3:49 hero's always portrait as tall dark and handsome. Bad guys same. How reality is distorted by so called artistic licence.
Always like to Rory
That fletcher got on my last nerve. Nobody gives a hoot who said what. Just handle the business and shut the - - up.
Aired the night I was conceived. So I am told.
Moral of the story.
A drunk is not worth a pitcher of warm spit.
The real Bill Longley wasnt nice😊
🤠👍🏿

'behold the gender pronoun...NOT!'
See, there was a time when you could tell the difference.
"Sex" was created by our creator, "gender" was an invention of those without a belief in a creator.
