Duffs vocals sound pretty dam good.
have you heard "so fine"? he kix ass!
why do u have my same pic?
Exactly what I thought. I don't think he normally has that strong a voice, but this was spot on. This song could've been made for him.
Rudy Tanelo Ruxy he sang killer back vocals in GnR
Rudy Tanelo Ruxy
Good.... fuckin terrible more like it
Johnny doesn't get the love he always deserved 😤 🥺 I fuqing love this 😭 💗💔
always had as soft spot for Duff - he always came across as a more thoughtful member of Guns'n'Roses
I was on an Amtrak train back in 2008 travelling to Buffalo from Chicago sitting opposite a retired couple. They'd been neighbours of Duff's family and said he was a lovely guy.
Duff is the most well educated member in GnR, dude went back to school after the crazy rock star life.
Slash is the thoughtful sensitive type aswell.
He's not stupid and has his heart at the right place.
@@likkidixx totally agree - the lyrics to Sweet child of mine is evidence enough of the literate intelligence of Axl Rose and one of Duffs favourite books was The Jungle by Upton Sinclair which is fine by me !
RIP Johnny. That was a nice rendition.
His voice never gets old mysteriously.
The "Spaghetti Incident" album is one of the most underrated hard rock albums ever. I still love that cover album. GNR completely turned those songs into unique and original material.
Well I hated it as a kid, but it's grown on me through the years
I can't agree with that statement with regards to this song,I think the guns cover is VERY similar to the original.
I don't think they changed it in any way really, just a straight cover
the boocklet or whatever its called for that album said something like "go out there and find the songs yourself" so we did. Man, I found some of my now favorite bands there. Thank you Guns N Roses!
Cheers lads for keeping the good things about Johnny Thunders alive...I can assure people will still be listening to Johnny in 25 years time...cannot say the same about Green day etc.
stevie jones jonny thunders
Duff sings this amazingly
This one's for you johnny....and nearly seven years wife, i still miss you every day. This song brings me to tears everytime.
Just had a GNR "Patience" flashback with Duff counting off followed by acoustics playing.. Good on you gents
Bodyknowledge 77 The guitar he is using has exactly the same tone. I dont doubt its the same guitar 30 years after...
Nope. Duff used a Guild when he was in GnR. That looks like a Gibson B-25, presumably from the mid-60s. I would guess a '66 or '67 - they sound amazing but they really didn't sell too great so they are moderately rare.
Fuckin'~A!
Duff is no joke! Excellent version. RIP Mr Thunders
Duff covered this on the spegethti incident for all them young pups out there
Crack
Who took the jam out of your donut?
I'd be surprised if any of these "die-hard" fans knew whose song it is originally.
Yea ...youre right man...learn young pups
@@mauriciohernandezdiaz9825 Jonesy just said it man...no worries we know who did..
I died and I'm in heaven. Such beautiful rendition...
Exaggerate much?
Lol
" This one's for you Johnny".
two fucking legends jamming together! And what a bloody decent tribute to our Johnny!
Duff sounds awesome. Not much different sounding then when he recorded it on Spaghetti Incident.
I just LOVE his voice.God,I could hear him singing for the rest of my life!
" a Johnny Funnders song" :-)
I was lucky to see Matt, Duff, John Taylor and Steve Jones At the El Corazón in Seattle as the neurotic outsiders
Love Duff...just a solid dude with a good heart...great guy..
jev
Never actually heard the original but grew up listening to this via GnR, loved it for so many years, awesome work Duff,
This one is for my friend who decided that life was not worth to live anymore. I miss you every day buddy
World's coolest accountant.
Thanks for popularizing the original version Duff.
Duff gave Johnny Thunders the best tribute with So Fine on Illusions 2 and Memory on Spaghetti Incident!
What a great tune. Duff and Steve sure do it justice!
I love duffs voice! Its pure punk but a little more refined.
Never Expected to put my arms around a memory ; When it's Always Been a Nightmare 💌
Impossible not to love Duff!
If it weren't for Duff, GnR wouldn't exist.
He was _spiritus movens_ of the band.
Do not forget it.
I like Duff as much as I dislike Asshole..Axel!!
Duff's autobiography is phenomenal, its a must read if ya love GnR and especially if you enjoy punk.
thank you so much
Great musical communication between these two. So much experience.
Both these man have my unreserved admiration
Most excellent performance!!! Thanks for posting and thanks to Duff and Jonesy for all the outstanding music.
Duff is great person,musician..... respect man!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘,he play... he's rock n'Roll
such a beautiful song, such a great performance
Great vocals and love the melody picking by Steve.
These dudes got talent
Did Mr.Thunders justice... Love it
Jonesy is the best punk rocker ever.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
I love this song. Espacially sung by Duff and Steve Jones. There is so much history in it.
that was cool, very heartwarming to see Jonsey playing lead, he's always been a bit of a dark horse on lead solos, good stuff, or should I say "Good Duff", btw, why let Axle ever do vocals in the first place????
What do you mean "dark horse"? His leads were simple in the Pistols days but great and he's just gotten better since then. He's not a guy who's going to solo for 10 minutes or try to melt any faces but his leads always suit the song and sound great.
Rolla Coasta Ride I don’t get? He didn’t? Wtf
Jonsey accentuates the notes beautifully. From 'bodies' to this in about 40 yrs. Steve and Duff 🇮🇪 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
This is an awesome video. Great cover. Duffs the man.
Love this!
Fantastic!
I was lucky to see Matt, Duff, John Taylor and Steve Jones
Just woke up.. I really enjoyed that.. Thanku nice and peaceful for waking up to....

I met Johnny back in the 80s in Sweden. Billy Rath Syl Sylvain Jerry Nolan was there to. He was great. The gig stsrted with Elmer Bernstein "Man with the golden arm" intro. Then come the band out and Pipeline was played. Se the movie. Framk Sinatra is great.

A line Ralph Cramden uttered on Honeymooners
Love Duffs solo stuff he is pretty damn good singer
Legends doing a legends song
what more do ye want
Excellent!
speechless....
Johnny Thunders should be proud of you Duff and Steve.
Duff would make a decent lead singer in a rolling stones cover band
yeah. but doing johnny thunders and other classic punk covers would be even better :)
Lemonpi3 Totally agree. Love Duff's rendition of Wild horses.
He sounds a cross between Billy Idol and Mick Jagger.
Really good version!
Just makes me feel happy as fuck this version man.. Fuckin immense
Excellent !!! Rx
Johnny Thunders FOREVER
Great vocals.
add on ...thats a fun cover.. well done duff & steve jones... fun cover.. .works. I know the guns cover album, but i thought its like a one off covering whatever crossed their minds, but covering thunders, respect.
