As a new soaper I’ve watched thousands of videos of soap making, If I could like this one 1000 times I would, hands-down the best video I’ve watched yet! That soap is art, it’s not soap, it’s a piece of art. Gorgeous
This is exactly what I did when I started out too. I needed to get a grasp of what would happen in different situations. I watched hundreds before I gathered my courage and tried. The first loaf after any break I make sure is very simple as its usually the one I make mistakes on
Hi everyone! Thanks to a very kind viewer, I just learned that I've been incorrectly referring to indigo powder as indigo root powder. For years. 🤣 Indigo actually comes from the leaves (not the root), as you all probably already know. I just wanted to correct my error in case it leads to any confusion when you're searching for it online. When I first bought indigo powder years ago, the supplier labeled the jar indigo root powder, and it just stuck with me. 😂 I forgot to mention in the video that when I swirled the soap, I did go all the way through the soap and actually touched the bottom so all the soap would be swirled. When I swirled the middle part, I pulled the stick out too soon and ended up with some muddy spots. I think I could have avoided that if I had continued all the way to the side before lifting it out. Hope you're all doing well and thank you for watching! -- Holly :)
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. delicate result. Cannot wait to try this one. I liked the idea of using an inverted beaker with that shape. Easy to do with a classy look with the special swirl look effect.
Omg I love it the ascetic feel from this video and that soap would make a modern style bathroom pop or any bathroom pop when you sit those soaps in there I love it
Holly, I love watching your videos. I read on your page that you don’t sell your soap, and was shocked because they are beautiful and from experience using your recipes (tweaking some to make my own) know how lovely they are. Thank you for everything and always sharing your experience.
Perfect trace, beautiful pours and stunning swirls with lots of movement. Love the classic black and white with a pop of purple pink! Love the video! Awesome editing and lighting!
As always, your work is outstanding! I love your calm and relaxing method of delivery. As a new soaper, I appreciate the details you share and the “whys”... Thank you for the recipe, I look forward to trying this technique. You are one of my favorite soapers!
Dearest Holly, thank you so much for a beautiful video! As all your videos, it is a calming and happy experience and the column pour is mesmerising to watch. Really beautiful soap, I will definitely have to try this one!🙏❤️
I love your videos. I do MP but use your videos as inspiration for my soaps. I love your style, and how clean your soaps are. Thanks for sharing your techniques with us.
Ooh that vase was so interesting to see, I had wondered if that shape would lead to the soap sort or dripping off the top and ruining the design, but it flowed beautifully. Another beautiful video Holly, always so lovely to watch
First time viewer and now subscriber. I had insomnia, saw the thumbnail and figured 'This should do it'... wrong! Wonderful video, beautiful soap (the colors/swirls), and you provided the recipe via a soap calculating app. 🤯 I loved everything about this video & I'm soooo tempted to make it with Sandalwood or Mahogany Teakwood for a more masculine scent. I think I have found a new hobby for the Summer. Thank you!
Thankyou Holly, actually got a little bit excited to view a new video from you this morning and as always so stylish. I tried one of your recipe's with palm oil yesterday thankyou so much the first time I wasn't plopping soap into the mold it poured beautifully I also had local honey as one of the additives. I always learn something from your video's thankyou again.
I thank you so much! Your technique is brilliant, your help to the whole soapmaking process is exceptional, your videos are always so well made. A pleasure to the eye!
I've done about 250 bars of different soap this is my third time trying the colors and each time it traces as im pouring and gets hard and i wind-up rebatching the soap i'm wondering if its the eucalyptus fragrance oil that im using that causes it to trace so fast or the Middlecoast pigment powder that im using any help would be appreciated thank you by the way this is the third one of your video's that i tried
My three favorite colors. TFS. I would like to try this using the Hot Process Method ( I have not tried this method in making soap, but I am interested), but I am concerned with how fluid the HP soap will be in order to pour over a column.
Hello Holly 👋. I Love all your videos . Great job... I wanted to ask you about the stainless steel containers you used to mix your Lye water 💧 I can't find them on line. Where can I find them? Thanks 😊
I like the way you used the 50 ml flask and I just ordered the set through your amazon store link. I guess the weight of the flask kept it from floating up when pouring the soap. I have had that problem when using a plastic drink bottle. Can't wait to try this when I receive my flasks. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for using my link! I really appreciate that. 💕 I was a little worried about the flask being too light and possibly floating up. I was so relieved that it was heavy enough to stay put.
I have a question. Brand new soap maker. I'm curious why the oven is so appealing other than bolder colors? I've let my soap sit in their molds with towels wrapped around them overnight (I usually soap around 8-9pm and unmold about 12 hrs later), and although I've only done 3 batches of soap, I haven't had trouble with gelling. Genuinely just curious and want to learn. This is a beautiful soap! It was fascinating to watch as you poured. Thank you so much in advance for your feedback. Loving your channel so very much.
Dearest Soapy Sister Holly, yet another well made video & beautiful soap!!! Thank you for always showing us natural colorants & EOs. Where did you get the shirt? I need one!!! God bless you! 💜
Thank you so much! And thanks for asking about the shirt! I actually designed it myself on a whim, so I'm thrilled you asked. There's a link directly under the video to the teespring store if you're interested in it. 💕
Hi! Can you explain the Charcoal oil in the jar? What oil did you use? Jow much charcoal did you mix with rhe oil in the jar? Do you always use this charcoal jar when you need to add charcoal to your soaps?
Hello can you tell me where to get the actual Stainless steel cup you have not the one listed pleaseI have been looking that very same one Thank You So Much the one in beginning of video
Oh, the one in my intro at the beginning? That's the Norpro Krona 8 cup multi pot. They've been hard to find lately, but here's a link: amzn.to/3p8gkA5 (affiliate link) They also make a 12-cup pot that looks identical. It's also been hard to find.
@@hollysoapmaking Holly, thank you soooo much I just purchased it for some reason there are 2 versions of it I purchased the one for 22 something not the newest version for 53. Again Thank you Love 💘
I love the colmn pour technique 😍! The colors you used are cool lol! I want to do one. Can you do a 3 dimensional soap, I seen it done once, it looked like a checker board. Anyways, I love this soap Holly, you're very talented. I hope you're doing well and can't wait for the next video 💗.
Thank you so much! There's just something about watching the colors go over the column (or any object). Every time I see someone else make one in a video, it makes me want to go make soap. 😂 I have never tried the 3D soaps, but they look amazing. I saw a YT video by Lucie Steblova last year that was incredible. Even before she poured the surrounding soap, it looked 3D. I hope you're doing well, too, and thank you for watching and always leaving such kind, encouraging comments! 💕
but what is this wonder? !!! it is beautiful, I fell in love! Congratulations!!! I was wondering if these are indigo infusions and activated charcoal that you made a few weeks before. Is it filtered before are additions? Thank you for your answers.
Thank you! I actually mix the indigo and charcoal up that morning and allow them to sit (no filtering...just allow enough time for the powder to settle on the bottom). With the indigo especially, I try really hard not to pick up any powder off the bottom of the container.
As a new soaper I’ve watched thousands of videos of soap making, If I could like this one 1000 times I would, hands-down the best video I’ve watched yet! That soap is art, it’s not soap, it’s a piece of art. Gorgeous
