I have a HTC U11 (no service) and and iPad. I only use phones for there cameras...they've improved a lot over time. I used to watch videos like this 2 years ago before making a purchase...started a YT channel (surprise...this one was short lived) doing overhead cooking videos. That HTC U11 has the best camera I've ever seen...even compared to DSLR's until you get into over $1000 range. I use the iPad mini for audio recordings...has a good mic. That HTC U11 only cost me $80 (it was the 2017 version and this was mid 2019 when bought)...phones drop in value a lot if you know where to look. Each one of these (your video) has pros and cons depending on what you're filming from what I can see. Good video Lily. 💖✌
Amazing comparison video. I currently have canon eos m50 mark ii but it's really big for everyday or normal vlogging and im thinking of changing it to canon g7x mark 3. Have you updated the firmware? Because it looks like the auto focused looks great. And what don't you like the most about the canon g7 mark iii?
Hi! I'm so sorry for the late response. I believe in this video everything was up to date! I know I've seen other UA-camrs with the Canon eos m50 and they swap in and out with the smaller vlog camera. Honestly, the only thing I'd say about the canon g7x is the autofocus is just a bit slow when I start recording in a "new environment", the battery isn't great but I've adapted to that by buying 2 batteries that I interchange when needed, (one is charging while I use the other) so I'm usually always good!
After dropping my iphone many times, I learnt the lesson. I bought a camera, and usually have on the tripod, record nice videos, and take nice pics as well with peace in mind. So I cannot risk my phone and the time to recorver all the files, number, etc...its traumatic for me!
In the first indoor landscape section you can see that the camera takes time to fix its brightness (it has auto brightness) but the quality is much better, whereas the iPhone does this much faster, but the quality is worse.
For the smaller details I'll definitely have to check, but overall: I use the video feature, aperture depends on where/what I'm filming... do you have any specific setting questions?
you are soooo good at this !
Thank you! :)
iPhone looks better in this comparison. I am curious how it will finish if iPhone would be compared to Fujifilm X100V.
best review ever
great video.. would love to see some portrait comparisons!
Ah like pictures? You’re right, I definitely did not include photos at all 😅

Wow!! This is a really great comment with lots of information. I’ve never thought to use two different devices for audio/video, so that’s pretty cool!

I used iMovie to edit that part! :)
@@LilyMammel hi lily thanks for the info👍👍👍
Where is low-light comparison? Which is better in low-light video?

You see, if you're using a camera in auto mode, you rather use a phone for your capturing.
Is this shot on iPhone front camera or back camera?
All back camera! 3:55 ;)
What setting do you use with canon?
