Needed a direct comparison like this ! Thanks for the time you took to make it :) Sony released the ZVII recently, it has a wider lense that the OG if youre wanting similar tech with a wider lense. Of course research it first hahaha. Thanks again! Well done.

How do you upload this type of quality from your phone. When i edit and save video i always upload it at the highest setting it looks good. But then when i upload it to youtube it looks blurry and horrible.

It depends on the software you’re using to edit in. So with capcut I press 2K/4k highest quality when I save my edited video to my computer. If you’re using Final Cut then you have to upload and download in 4k. Also make sure you’re filming in 4k. I noticed my last camera was in HD and was coming out blurry. I had this same issue
Is there a beauty filter/smoothing filter on the canon?
I think there is a skin blurring affect for taking pictures on the canon but that feature is not available for video
The sony footage looks great. I use the canon for the majority of my videos because it's the easiest. I might consider the sony for filming and keep the g7x mark ii for b-roll, photos etc. It takes great pictures, you're right. The fact that you can add an external mic to the sony would make the biggest difference in viewer experience, imho. I found keeping an eye on exposure and learning to shoot manual makes a huge different in the quality you get out of cameras like these. The auto setting on the canon leaves something to be desired, just like the auto-focus being slow. Mind you, it wasn't slow by 2016 standards.. I think it aged well.

can you make a tutorial on how to import clips from your camera onto your laptop? because ive had some struggles trying to do it hahah idk if its my laptop or my camra but its a little difficult, thank you!
If you have a MacBook get an SD card reader from Apple! The footage gets onto the device immediately. Or get a sd to usb card reader. You just take the memory card out and put it in there and plug into your laptop it’s such a game changer!
Hi on the zv1 are you able to take off the blurred affect when using it. Or is it just automatically like that?

hi, this isn’t my video but based off someone like myself in tech i would go with the Sony Zv-1 hands down.
"menu looks outdated~" - starts crying in sony - As a Sony user, I feel that pain man. BUT the newer ZV-1 Mark ii(2) has an updated menu system. It is still not as good as the Canon menu but it is still something. hahaha

I had once Sony Xperia phone and earbuds,sony just gave me a image they do everything like sht,i also visited Sony store and tv they made is so unreasonable expensive, much expensive than Samsung lg etc, if you zoom in Sony camera shot image you will find photo is not clear

no it's not. g7 mark iii Auto focus is garbage and the camera overheats.
