This level is heavily inspired by the new Blue Lagoon Resort and it's surrounding area. It was designed to test our ever-developing combat AI.

Great work, hope to see more level desing from a true designer to learn more. Already tierd of all those so call "level desing/time lapse" videos of actually just scene building and filling with assets an empty space to make it look cool but 0 gameplay. Not intended to offend anyone tho, those vids give a cool inspiration on how to make your level look cool, but still missing to make it play cool. I already heard that the key is iteration all around the proces, but its better to see it from an actuall level designer working on it. So im really hoping to see more of this.
Thanks!
We also have an older level-design video that we posted a few months back if you are interested :)

Great video, always nice to get a little walk-through of these processes!
Thank you for reinforcing the idea that blocking out is important WITHOUT ASSETS!!!
I struggle so much no to put anything as im going along when I have something feel good I immediately replace it w assets and move on to the next part which is stupid because most of the time i go back.
Yes!!!! You people are life savers right now. I'm in the middle of 3d model making my project for uni. And with the global pandemic, I've had little to no design inspiration to keep the fire burning. This channel along with the music is what I needed!!! Thank you so much!! :D
Great to hear! :D
Glad I found your channel, very inspiring :) Very nice work!
Damn unreal is an powerful one person cab create incredible games so imagine what a studio of this talent could do. Great work!
Fantastic work :), I am trying to get into level design just as a hobby and videos like this helps a lot to get that precious knowledge. I only wish I had more time doing this.
That's great to hear!
Tutorials have also helped us through so many tough hurdles.
Keep putting in the hours :)
Thanks for making these tutorial videos ! They are really helpful
Thanks! We'll keep 'em coming :D
More of these videos please! :)
Thanks A'lot budy it's make my day
That is great 👍
Awesome
Hi Eiríkur (and the rest of Myrkur Games), great tutorial as always!
I was wondering, when you used the low poly 2D elements to recreate the trees and the mountains in the background you called them "plane/plain cards", is there a specific name for those elements?
Thanks!
Thanks! we just call them background planes, and in this case tree plains :)
Very cool & very inspiring! Thank you! What tool are you using for color correcting the megascan assets?
Thanks!, I'm just the built in albedo value in the Megascans material
@@MyrkurGames Ah cool! Thanx! :-))

Hey what happend to you guys? Did you give up on the game or why are you not uploading? because ur still liking peoples comments, i'd love to see more videos soon, very inspiring channel!
We're still working hard on the game (and we have no plans to stop), but with the pandemic we missed quite a few months. But I have good news! We just finished a new vlog and are intending on getting back to a normal upload schedule! ua-cam.com/video/1PcT16cR4qU/v-deo.html
@@MyrkurGames Thats awesome to hear!
That is a sweet game engine, what game engine is it?
it's Unreal Engine 4 :)
Any update's ????
Hi Nick! It's been more difficult to share our experience during the pandemic, but we expect to go back to a regular schedule in the coming weeks and months; and we just can't wait to share everything that's happened since we last uploaded.
@@MyrkurGames maby do a one day streaming true twitch every 2 weeks ???

Takk! :)
Which engine do you use?
Unreal Engine 4 :)

What happened guys why don't you give us content any more
We try to upload once per month, but with the pandemic we've been working-from-home and it's been harder to produce content in that sort of mindset. It's my sincere hope that we'll be able to share something cool with you guys in December, and hopefully Iceland will keep the situation in check in the new year.
Thank you so much !
